TTC after miscarriage - January 2020

Hello all (and late Merry Christmas!)

Looking for TTC buddies in a similar situation! 👋

In September I accidentally became pregnant. We had planned to begin TTC in Jan 2020 anyway, so we were really excited. Sadly, at my 12 week scan on 25th Nov, I found out I had had a missed miscarriage and the baby had stopped growing at about 9 weeks. The week that followed was one of the most traumatic in my life, having failed medical management and then an ERPC. All this happened whilst I was in another country.

Since then my recovery has been okay but all I can think about is wanting to be pregnant again and have been hoping and praying that my period returns soon so that we can officially start trying.

This morning I have had brown discharge and cramping, so it does feel like AF is on the way. So I guess I am going to count today as CD1 of my first official TTC cycle?

I wondered if anyone had been through anything similar and if so I am so sorry for your loss and what you had to go through. It really is a horrendous time. 💐

Anyone want to join me? 💕

My fertile window is apparently due to start tomorrow. DH is due home shortly, so I shall break the news to him! Wink

mlax · 11/01/2020 19:35

I hope so @Michette I will definitely let everyone know anyway! Is it bad I'm wishing days away so I can actually test?? 🙄

@MilsCookie I'm thinking the same! My cycles were 28 says pre-MC so I'm hoping that they've gone back to normal but I don't know as I've only had 1 AF and this will be my 2nd! Xx

Michette · 11/01/2020 19:29

@MilsCookie i haven’t had really ewcm but my ovulation started with small twinges and then turned into proper side pain that even DTD was painful....

Hopefully this is also the start of something for you 🐣

Michette · 11/01/2020 19:28

@ChampooPapi thanks :) yours words actually helped!!!

@mlax i think the symptoms are a good sign tbh. Very good sign Wink

Will try to hold on testing until at least Friday with FMU - it will be 11dpo.

But tbh last time i had such bad cramps before bfp that i will recognise them !!

MilsCookie · 11/01/2020 19:22

@Anny27 I’m confused cos I haven’t had any much cm or EWCM so I don’t feel like I’m ovulating. But then have had these random left side twinges all day so who knows. I already feel like this month isn’t the month! I also don’t know if my cycles will go back to being 33/34 days post mc as I’ve only had one AF since! Trying to be relaxed about it all but it’s so hard!!

@Michette I think for me I don't think I will be but then all these symptoms I'm dreading that these would be my symptoms 2 weeks pre AF 😩 I'm feeling very anxious but want it soooo bad. Fingers crossed for us 🤞

ChampooPapi · 11/01/2020 18:25

@Anny27 god knows! Not doing ovulation tests yet but the signs have been good the last few days cm wise. I am going to keep dtd all weekend, my partner goes away Monday until Thursday so makes sense.

@Michette it's so emotional being at your stage that's for sure. It's always going to be a lot of ups and downs from now until you test so just doing what makes you feel good about yourself is really important. It's a lot of hope tied up in the next week for you, I think just let yourself go! Totally allow yourself to obsess now, it's not that long and it it at least not the first week of trying again after af. Let yourself get excited 🌈👣✨

Michette · 11/01/2020 17:53

@BS9790 you are probably a day away from peak ! Keep testing at least twice a day tho!

@mlax @ChampooPapi @Anny27 sooooo annoyinnnnnnnng
I thought this time i will be relaxed but i am so not relaxed.
What can we do 😒

Mixed feelings for this one.
Part of me thinks ofc it will be positive because the only time i tried i got pregnant but then a part of me is terrified that it was just luck and now i am gonna join the rest and wait months to get a bfp

But i am 50/50 - what about you??

mlax · 11/01/2020 17:36

@Michette meeee! Feeling your pain 😩😩

Anny27 · 11/01/2020 17:21

@champoopapi have you ovulated yet? :D

ChampooPapi · 11/01/2020 17:19

@Michette I can appreciate that, I'm currently on cd 16 and testing/AF is starting to feel a long way off. How are you feeling about this month?

Anny27 · 11/01/2020 17:16

@BS9790 mine looked like yours does there about 2 days before my peak reading so you could be close!

@michette I will be in my TWW tomorrow and already cba with the stress and symptom spotting haha! Hope it goes quick for you

@milscookie if i had ovulation pain I would class that as the actual day of ovulation- not entirely sure though as I dint get ovulation pain!

BS9790 · 11/01/2020 16:30

This was my ovulation test today, I am on cd13. I had a similar coloured line yesterday, and barely visible lines on the days previous.
Pre mc I would of expected to ovulate around cd18. I've never used these tests before. From darker lines starting to appear... When would ovulation usually then occur? Any advice appreciated x

Bad mood is kicking in... The TWW is getting to me Confused
5dpo and feels like an eternity

Anyone else feeling this way?

DisneyMummySince2010 · 11/01/2020 14:35

sorry @mlax fingers crossed for your BFP on Jan 15th then!
I’ve just had a little go of the countdown to pregnancy link too, it counted my dpo from jan 4th even though my peak was jan 2nd so apparently I’m only 8dpo! Says to test from Jan 18th so may try to hang on. This link might be helpful trying to work out how many dpo they are xx

MilsCookie · 11/01/2020 12:23

Oops posted too soon sorry!

@mlax that all sounds promising!! Can’t wait to hear about your progress! Keep us updated 😘 Sending you ALL the luck and baby dust and really hoping it’s a BFP for you!!! ❤️✨👣🎇

@Michette yes I forgot to thank you for that link - will be very useful us all I’m sure!

I am getting dull stabbing pains in my left ovary this morning. It’s something I always get around ovulation time. Does anyone else get this and know if the pains happen WHEN the egg pops out or if it’s prior to ovulation? I’m hoping it means I’m about to ovulate! 🤞

@DisneyMummySince2010 well I did one yesterday using the clear blue early PT and it was negative... but when I used the link that @Michette put in this thread, a positive wouldn't show until at least the 15th jan!

DisneyMummySince2010 · 11/01/2020 11:34

Very exciting @mlax why not get a FRER? I find it sooooo hard to wait!

mlax · 11/01/2020 11:17

Morning lovelies! I woke up around 8am this morning feeling quite sick but wasn't sick. It's passed now it lasted about 5 minutes or so.

Also starting with sharp pains in my abdomen and back pains - are these symptoms?? I feel like I'm looking out for everything and hoping for it to be it but don't want to get my hopes up 😩 I'm not due my AF until Thursday but will be my 2nd AF since my MC so not sure if it will come on time or not.

Pre-MC I was bang on 28 days so hopefully my cycles have resumed!

DisneyMummySince2010 · 11/01/2020 09:56

@MilsCookie I have a few cheapies from amazon so may start testing Thursday! Will see how my symptoms go! It’s my 30th birthday at the end of the month, would be lovely to celebrate knowing I’m pregnant 🥰

MilsCookie · 11/01/2020 09:31

@DisneyMummySince2010 that’s so exciting! When are you going to test?

@StephyRose same for you!! You might just be one of the lucky ones! 😃

Because my first pregnancy wasn’t planned I was actually expecting AF, but my main symptom that made me think something was weird was that my boobs DIDN’T hurt at all! (Until I was about CD40) My boobs always hurt for about 7-10 days before my period comes, and they just didn’t hurt in the slightest. I actually wrote a post about it on here and then on CD37 got my BFP!! The other most obvious symptom was the weird metallic taste down the sides of my tongue (from around CD33). I didn’t get any implantation bleeding or pain.

I’m on CD17 today and still no obvious signs of ovulation although it’s not late yet. No idea what’s going on with my body but just making sure we dtd every other night!

I’m SO excited for all you ladies now in the TWW! Good luck to everyone!! I wonder who’s going to get the first BFP?! 🌈 💫👣🎇

@stephyrose i have to say your symptoms sound pretty good to me so far just like @DisneyMummySince2010.

I am thinking the same regarding beibg lucky enough to conceive first time both cycle but who knows!!!
I also stopped the pill to conceive for first time in november and was pregnant two weeks later and now hoping a same little miracle two weeks after MC

That’s all i wish for both!!

StephyRose · 11/01/2020 08:48

Hi lovelies and welcome to all newbies 🌈💗💙 Happy Weekend!

Thank you for the link @Michette. According to that I could have implanted yesterday on 7DPO and I looked at ANOTHER website that says it tends to happen 7-10 days after ovulation ... I'm using my 1st day of peak fertility as ovulation day. Not sure if that right or wrong.

But now I'm thinking ... nah. I cant be. Who is lucky enough to concieve 1st time both cycles? But will test next Thursday I think rather than wait for AF as I will just want to be put out of my misery.

But then my heart says weird lower pains a bit like period ... a dull back ache that I never normally have ... all for 24 hours ... 7 days before AF due? My head is gone 🤣

@Sparkl Haha no worries lovely. You can always do it next cycle. 🤣💗❤

@Anny27 this is what I am clinging too 🤞 but trying not to get my hopes up. How are you getting on with BDing? ❤

Michette · 10/01/2020 23:01

@DisneyMummySince2010 that’s promising!!!

I want to try 10 dpo but we agreed with DP to wait to 12 at least but i ordered 4 FRER lol
