TTC after miscarriage - January 2020

Hi everyone,
Sorry have been very busy at work & home since last week and haven’t had a chance to check MN. Still trying to catch up with all the messages.

I thought i was the only one to find DTD so many times and in such a by the book kinda way ridiculous!!!
I couldn’t stop laughing and it didn’t help DP at al. He also feels some pressure when i am ovulating. Even though on normal daily life not TTC we have sex daily.
But dunno why when it comes to ttc actively we both get stressed out and we just can’t help but laugh at ourselves

@MilsCookie I was 5weeks. I had symptoms from 3dpo so I'm hoping I will spot it next time. Finding myself randomly squeezing a boob to see if its sore yet

The baby aspirin thing is interesting too.

@Michette @toomanyleggings I need a prescription for it where I am (not UK) but the Dr gave me a prescription for both 75mg Aspirin and Progesterone. It wasn’t my first time to see her as I went to her after my first miscarriage as well so she kind of knew me at that stage. I also had bloods done which all came back Normal. As in thyroid, prolactin, antibodies and clotting tests. These tests weren’t very in depth though so not 100% giving me answers

@MilsCookie from.a bit of research and asking mother on the phone earlier (she was a nurse) apparently thrush is more common around the time of ovulation, or just afterwards, so I think it's very likely your covered.

She also said it can be a very early indicator of pregnancy , but that might be an old wives tale from her 70s nursing life!

I'm cd 18 today and I have been basically dtd every day since cd4, I will be taking a break the next few days as the man is away but I'm going for gold and just going to do it a few more times to cover next weekend. Then business is definitely closed untill af/bfp. I won't be repeating the everyday throw down next month, it's become so ridiculous I actually started laughing my head off mid way through last night.

@Cruiser1 I don't see the harm in taking it now. I did as soon as I ovulated. You just need 75mg. It's only a low dose. I took it right through my pregnancy

@Anny27 🤣🤣 that is so funny! We haven't done it since ovulation, 2 Saturdays ago but will do it a few times this week. Even though we were relieved it was over, we need to it for enjoyment and for each other too. I know that seems obvious but I just have such a low sex drive.

It is due Saturday and I feel like the time will drag. It is exciting to feel that I'm literally days away from potentially amazing news .... but I just dont feel that hopeful this month. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Please find attached my BD calendar for this month. Red circles = BD. Blue circles = positives OPK. As you can see we just didn't do it as much as would have liked so I think that limits our chances.

Fell on our one and only time last time though so shouldn't be too negative. 🙈

@toomanyleggings do you need a prescription for low dose aspirin?

Does it need to be from ovulation? Iv already ovulated (I think) but haven’t started taking it yet. Maybe I should 😕

It can run quite expensive to get bloods done to try to find an answer as to why recurring miscarriage is happening.

Iv had basics done and nothing is showing up.

I hear of some women have a full panel of bloods done known as ‘Chicago bloods’ (as they are sent to a lab in Chicago. But they cost over $1000 as far as I know.

I just think if I can skip to the treatment and see if that helps me hold on to a pregnancy then that might be a better solution.
Especially since taking progesterone and/or low dose Aspirin appear to bear little risk.

It seems sadistic but my maternity hospital have told me that they need to do some tests when I am pregnant so I need to potentially go through another miscarriage I’m order to figure out what’s going wrong 😫

@Cruiser1 yes before I had my dc 5 years ago I had three losses between 4 and 5 weeks back to back. I decided to take baby aspirin from ovulation and got my bfp which was a successful pregnancy. Told my dr and he said carry on. This time I didn't take it, and I went much longer but I still lost the baby. I'm going to take it from ovulation if I can possibly work out when it is next time.

@Sparkl I got the prescription from a private gynaecologist.
As we can’t figure out what is going wrong it seems to be an easy thing to try

Those of you with recurrent miscarriage, have you found any answers as to what is going wrong?

Mils it's probably just your body reacting to more frequent DTD. Hopefully it settles down quickly.

Afaik it doesn't affect conception, other than the obvious effect of reducing DTD! Fingers crossed for you!

@MilsCookie omg how annoying!!! Were you on antibiotics after your miscarriage? I was and it made me have thrush for first time, was bloody awful!!!! I am not sure if it affects conception but best not to DTD as you dont want DP to get it and pass it back to you:(

@StephyRose yep it was a very busy month. DH is glad we dknt have to DTD tonight 🤣 when is your AF due?

I think only my right works because it’s also much bigger but then again i havent ovulated many times in my life!!!
And i guess when i was on Copper iud i never felt it...
But curious now about what you said. You always have the pain on one side but yet the corpus lutheum was on the other !!!

November on first cycke TTC i had a start of BV right at ovulation - i think because of much BDing and keeping it in
And i blame the MC on this. I know for a fact i implanted late and i am sure it was because of the bloody BV. My CM was nonexistent and if there was a bit it was wrong consistency and wrong smell.
But didn’t want to risk antibiotics m...

Don’t know about thrush though... could u use a bit of cream?
Would it affect sperm?

But if you are already on cd19 i am sure you are good!!!

@bs9790 mine are like a heavy pain on the working side (always the right for me) and proper sharp pain if touched or moved in the wrong way especially DTD is super painful when lying on my back...

Does anyone get ovulation pains? What are they like?

@Cruiser1 I'd like to know too about the progesterone?

Thanks @MilsCookie trying not to stress. Have had three since, first was really short, think they’re getting longer. It isn’t what I’m used to but then it’s so little on the first two days that if you weren’t TTC you might not see it. Obvs making me hope it’s implantation each time!

@Cruiser1 did you get progesterone prescription from GP or from the hospital?

We are officially ttc again
MC 3rd Jan, bfn 6th Jan
Bleeding stopped day before yesterday so the plan is just to BD as many days as we can manage until either AF or BFP!!
Not waiting around for AF, will just have to symptom spot which was a full time hobby during the Tww last time!!
