TTC after miscarriage - January 2020

Hello all (and late Merry Christmas!)

Looking for TTC buddies in a similar situation! 👋

In September I accidentally became pregnant. We had planned to begin TTC in Jan 2020 anyway, so we were really excited. Sadly, at my 12 week scan on 25th Nov, I found out I had had a missed miscarriage and the baby had stopped growing at about 9 weeks. The week that followed was one of the most traumatic in my life, having failed medical management and then an ERPC. All this happened whilst I was in another country.

Since then my recovery has been okay but all I can think about is wanting to be pregnant again and have been hoping and praying that my period returns soon so that we can officially start trying.

This morning I have had brown discharge and cramping, so it does feel like AF is on the way. So I guess I am going to count today as CD1 of my first official TTC cycle?

I wondered if anyone had been through anything similar and if so I am so sorry for your loss and what you had to go through. It really is a horrendous time. 💐

Anyone want to join me? 💕

@StephyRose looks like a positive to me yayyy delighted for you 😘

toomanyleggings · 15/01/2020 17:50

@StephyRose I know they say those frers are the most sensitive but I always got stronger lines with other tests like the Superdrug own ones or clear blue. I can see the hint of a line on your frer. Fc it's a sticky bean implanting!!

BecsterG · 15/01/2020 17:41

Will do @SweetpeaOrMarigold

I took a video of my cheapie today but it won’t let me upload it for some reason.

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 15/01/2020 17:33

And @BecsterG too, lets see those lines tomorrow!

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 15/01/2020 17:32

I see it too!! How exciting! Please show us tomorrows too, we all need this positivity 😊

BecsterG · 15/01/2020 17:24

@Michette totally agree. Cheapies seem to show earlier

BecsterG · 15/01/2020 17:23

@StephyRose I can see it too!! Yeay congratulations.

I think mine was similar to yours maybe a tad lighter this morning. I’ve been staring at it all day. I’m not convinced though as I feel like I’m imagining it so have to wait and see if it’s stronger tomorrow! Wish me luck! Ekk

Michette · 15/01/2020 17:09

@StephyRose do you have cheapies opk??? You could do one. It picks up both lh and hcg and shows better

Michette · 15/01/2020 17:04

@StephyRose no doubt there is a line!!!!

MilsCookie · 15/01/2020 16:56

Sorry tmi post, had pain during BD on Monday. Then starting last night and continuing today, my lower abdomen/pelvic area feels sore. Not cramping, deffo more of a sore pain, its worse when sucking my tummy in!
I'm thinking most likely cause of this is an infection. Going to ring GP tomorrow to see if I can get an appt, feeling so fed up now.

BS9790 · 15/01/2020 16:49

@StephyRose deffo a line there! Smile x

mlax · 15/01/2020 16:36

Eeeeekk I definitely see something too @StephyRose xxx

Leok83 · 15/01/2020 16:30

@StephyRose I can see it too!!

I’d test again tomorrow (even though I know they say to test again in 48 hours as takes that long for HCG to double but I don’t think I could wait that long!! )🤞

Anny27 · 15/01/2020 16:24

@stephyrose I can see it!!!🥳🥳🥳

Still early obviously but retest in morning!

StephyRose · 15/01/2020 16:19

Hi lovely people,

Thank you so much for your positivity earlier. Been in a foul mood all day because I felt really negative about TTC, felt sorry for the kids as a result of my short temper 🤣, came home to reassess the test, felt crap again.

Took another one because I'm a glutton for punishment and feel that this is stronger.
What do you guys think? Feel worried its negative as maybe it's just an evap/indent line and AF is due Saturday so surely it would be darker 🤷🏼‍♀️ but i feel that there is something there.

Realise the message above makes no sense.....

I meant I was reading a thread from when I was in my tww of my pregnant cycle and before I tested I had no symptoms**

Anny27 · 15/01/2020 15:00

@terribleimagination that sounds promissing!!!!

I just read one of the threads back from when I was pregnant and I was saying "I have no symptoms guys" so atleast if I have no symptoms again it doesnt mean and news!

TerribleImagination · 15/01/2020 14:48

@Cruiser1 Haha yep! That made me laugh 🤣

I currently feel like someone has pumped my entire body full of air! Gotta love that water retention too, again progesterone AND pregnancy symptom 🙈 Also my boobs are getting out of control big and no sign of AF yet 👀🤞🏻

Michette · 15/01/2020 13:12

@Cruiser1 yup Confused

BecsterG · 15/01/2020 13:06

@cruiser1 hahahahahha

Cruiser1 · 15/01/2020 12:28

Here’s another delightful progesterone/pregnancy symptom ladies...... wind!! 💨😰😂

FireflyGirl · 15/01/2020 12:06

Looking forward to seeing all the pee-sticks in the coming days.

I realised that I accidentally bought OPKs instead of hpts last time, so I poas last night and this morning. I've not used them before, but read enough on these threads to have a fair idea how they work.

My app says ov is due Friday, but this morning's was lighter than last night's, so I'm assuming my surge was yesterday/overnight. Wish me luck!

I have a lot planned for the next couple of weeks, so hopefully the TWW won't be too bad. I had quite obvious symptoms well before AF in the last two (unsuccessful) pregnancies, so I may know even before then...

DH knows that I test, because I tell him, but he doesn't want to be in there with me.

Leok83 · 15/01/2020 10:59

@BS9790 I think you ovulate anywhere from 12-48 hours after the peak opk. The cycle I conceived I had peak opk at 2pm 15dpo, line was light again by 8pm and gone the next morning, has what I think we’re ovulation pains at about 10am 16dpo (after had no line on opk) and bbt confirmed I’d ovulated 16dpo so for me I’m guessing it was just under the 24 hours.
Hopefully it’s ovulation pains ur experiencing! Fingers crossed for ur ur TWW!

Michette · 15/01/2020 10:55

The testing craze has started Grin

I don’t feel as pregnant today :/
Got too excited yesterday...

It’s hard part of me wants to test but part of me want to wait because i am worried it won’t work out and if i just find out at 5 or 6 weeks then i won’t be as disappointed ...

I said i wanted to test tomorrow morning but to have better chance at accurate test should probably wait for 11dpo

Look at the chart i found.
Basically having a positive at 09dpo is very very lucky

But

@StephyRose a faint is goooooooood
Honestly that’s great but try to test tomorrow too :)))
