TTC after miscarriage - January 2020

Hello all (and late Merry Christmas!)

Looking for TTC buddies in a similar situation! 👋

In September I accidentally became pregnant. We had planned to begin TTC in Jan 2020 anyway, so we were really excited. Sadly, at my 12 week scan on 25th Nov, I found out I had had a missed miscarriage and the baby had stopped growing at about 9 weeks. The week that followed was one of the most traumatic in my life, having failed medical management and then an ERPC. All this happened whilst I was in another country.

Since then my recovery has been okay but all I can think about is wanting to be pregnant again and have been hoping and praying that my period returns soon so that we can officially start trying.

This morning I have had brown discharge and cramping, so it does feel like AF is on the way. So I guess I am going to count today as CD1 of my first official TTC cycle?

I wondered if anyone had been through anything similar and if so I am so sorry for your loss and what you had to go through. It really is a horrendous time. 💐

Anyone want to join me? 💕

Sorry to hear you've got AF, @DisneyMummySince2010 @TerribleImagination Flowers

@BecsterG I can see a very faint line in the second picture. FC it gets darker tomorrow!!

My OPKs are getting lighter, so I reckon I'll ovulate today or tomorrow. Going to start counting dpo from Saturday...

ChampooPapi · 16/01/2020 08:05

Waves at @Anny27, how are you feeling about things this month? We are about the same days post ovulation I think. The next week I'll be wishing and hoping!

Michette · 16/01/2020 08:05

@becsterG yesss i see it!!!! 🥳🥳🥳

To the ladies who got AF... sorry to hear.
That sucks! Hope you are not feeling too crap today... sending hugs xxx

BecsterG · 16/01/2020 08:01

Morning ladies, I took another test. Can you see a faint line or am I imagining it?

@TerribleImagination that’s so rubbish. I hate how our body does that. I hope you’re OK. Fingers crossed for this cycle. X

@Terribleimagination I’m so sorry.... I know that awful feeling when AF arrives. 😔
Give yourself a day or two to be sad and then you’ll be back on the bike again ready to try again in this cycle 👍🏼
Maybe your body just needed to re-boot once more!

Hugs

TerribleImagination · 16/01/2020 07:03

I’m out 😢 My body was playing cruel tricks on me. I started spotting yesterday, which I’ve never had in my life, and then AF turned up in the night. I’m absolutely gutted. I just want to be pregnant again 😔

Good luck to everyone else waiting / testing soon - crossing fingers for all of you 🤞🏻❤️

DisneyMummySince2010 · 15/01/2020 23:55

So happy for you @StephyRose 💕 fingers crossed for a healthy sticky baba

I would say that’s positive @GemLou88 definitely DTD just in case

Quick update from me! It was my period on Saturday, 6 days early!! Just finished today so back to square one 😩 my periods are so strange and unpredictable since the ectopic!

My TA announced she was pregnant in work today! I’m happy for her deep down but I want it for myself too.

I’m keep fingers and toes crossed for everyone else in their TWW ☀️😘

GemLou88 · 15/01/2020 23:20

Sorry just checked. Ovulation should have been on the 11th so should be 4DPO

kkr168 · 15/01/2020 23:14

Can I join please, this is our 1st month ttc after a mc on 1st January, great way to start 2020!!
I've been using opk sticks & got peak result today (I think), my cycle is every 24 days.

GemLou88 · 15/01/2020 23:12

Can anyone help who is familiar with OPK? I was due to ovulate (according to Ovia app) on the 13th. I gave up on the OPK as they seemed to get a little darker then lighter again. I should be 3DPO if going by cycle pre miscarriage. I decided to use my last OPK after not testing for 2 days and I got this. Does this mean it’s peak and I’ll be ovulating in the next 12-24 hours? I’m so confused with all this now Confused

@didslysquiddlydoobu
just wrote an answer but something weird happen so sorry if it’s a duplicate
No 😅 we decided to do a frer tomorrow at 10dpo - and then test every two days!

No cramps today and not feeling pregnant.
Just nausea.
So confused?
When are you testing??

Stephy gave me hope though. Bit too much 😅

ELM7 · 15/01/2020 21:59

I think I’m 2dpo too but slightly shorter cycle
of 28 days so AF due 25 Jan it’s going to be a long 10day wait!

Bought more seven seas pre conception vitamins today in the hope I won’t need them!! Yep I know no logic in that statement!! 😂

MilsCookie · 15/01/2020 21:43

@StephyRose just SO happy for you lovely 😊 and it gives me a lot of hope!! 🌈 fingers crossed this thread is a lucky one - so far it seems to be! ✨

@didslysquiddlydoo I think I am 2dpo but I’m not confident in when I ovulated so tbh I have no idea. My cycles are usually around 33-34 days and according to Flo AF is due on 28th Jan. So I’m planning on waiting for AF to show up before I test! If nothing by 31st Jan I will do one. That’s soooooo far away though and January is soooooooo long!!!! 😩

didslysquiddlydoo · 15/01/2020 21:32

@Michette you still holding out until 11dpo?! So sensible - wish I was able to attempt to do the same!! 😂

@Anny27 ahhhh - I started feeling symptoms at 3dpo - crazy stupid early, and all probably just wishful thinking, I know.. it goes soooo slowly doesn't it?!!

Anny27 · 15/01/2020 21:25

Yeah lots of us in tww!! I am 3dpo today so still a fair while away from symptoms and testing 🙈🙈

Michette · 15/01/2020 21:24

@didslysquiddlydoo i am at 9 dpo

didslysquiddlydoo · 15/01/2020 21:18

@StephyRose eeeek! Got everything crossed for you! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I've been at work all day today - awful lingering headache and heartburn throughout the day...

I'll be 8dpo tomorrow... think I'll probs do a test in the morning - if there's a faint line, at least I'll know quite quickly if it progresses or not over the next few days..!

Where is everyone else at in their cycle?! Seems a lot of people in the tww!!

mlax · 15/01/2020 20:22

Dizziness and lightheadedness has started again.... 😖😖

BecsterG · 15/01/2020 20:02

@StephyRose thank you. Your plan is good. Not sure I could wait until Friday! I’m so impatient!! Grin

Anny27 · 15/01/2020 19:35

@stephyrose so happy for you lovely!!! Looks like you get pregnant very easily then haha - you were first cycle last time aswell weren't you?

StephyRose · 15/01/2020 19:33

Thank you so much lovelies. @MilsCookie I cant quite believe it, is how I feel! ❤🌈

I only have two more FRER's, no cheapies but I am not going to test until Friday morning now, to give the HCG time to increase. Just in case 🤞 I was on tenterhooks today at work so I dont think I can do it again tomorrow 🤣 Will definitely do it again Friday as we are away at the weekend, going up to the 'Toon so it will be a mega drink fest. Would like to know for definite before then.😊

@Michette I think I am either 10 or 11 DPO as I ovulated either the 4th or the 5th. That line is more clear (if I can even describe it as that! 🤣) than when I was last pregnant at 11DPO.

Good luck to all the lovelies testing in the next few days @mlax @BecsterG @Michette 💗💙👶🏼🌈🎉🤞🤞

GoldenBauble · 15/01/2020 19:16

Ah congratulations @StephyRose! That definitely looks like it could be positive to me! I'm loving that we're getting some positive stories already. Gives me so much hope. Fingers crossed for lots of healthy pregnancies 🌈

Ejb86 · 15/01/2020 19:12
