How long did it take you to conceive? 36yrs old

I'm 37. 13 yr old DS.

Two years to conceive

First time ever without contraception conceived 1st month at 38, and again 2nd month of trying at 40. I know I am lucky.
Apparently if your mum/maternal aunts had late menopause eg mid fifties then you are likely to be ok as fertility drops ++ 10 years before menopause.

Started trying age 31

6 years and 7 rounds of IVF. Don't wait.

Conception statistics are really skewed. Decades ago people who were trying to conceive in their 30s and 40s were those who had been in relationships before but somehow not fallen pregnant before (perhaps to their secret relief! Ot because of pre existing issues ) Nowadays a far higher proportion are people who are trying to conceive for the first time. And succeeding!

First was conceived just shy of a year after a mmc at 6 months of trying. After mmc we had a break ttc but had an oops and ds1 is the perfect result, i was 32 at the time.

Currently pregnant 17+4, took 3 years ttc with several mc on the way! Aged 37

Everybody is different and these things are hard to predict. #1 and #2 happened straight away for me, first cycle each time. I was 29 and 31. Now I'm 36 and on the 6th cycle of ttc #3 so not as easy this time now that im older. If you don't mind not drinking on your wedding day you could start a month or two before. Normally you wouldn't show until the 3rd or 4th month but then again it depends on people. Good luck!

First at 32 was 3 months ttc. My second was born when I was 41, after 3 m/c and about 15 months of trying. It was a tough time, but I was 12 weeks on the dot at our wedding and it was fine.

That said, I'm now about 7 weeks with a total accident and will be almost 43 if it all goes well.

I think 36 is no great age but it's normal for these things to take a while so get going for now then you can start going mad after the wedding

At 32 I got pregnant the first cycle, now at 35 I've just found out I'm pregnant on my second cycle. It's very good that your cycle is regular, that can be the biggest battle. I would recommend tracking ovulation as apps only guess ovulation. First time TTC I ovulated on day 15, this time it was day 18 then day 17 so I would have missed my most fertile days if I'd gone purely off what the apps say x

I was 34 husband 36 for first child, I had been tracking cycle for 3 months. Fell pregnant first month try

2nd baby 2 years later, exactly the same first month trying.

I conceived straight away at age 39 (came off the pill after 15 years, had one period then got pregnant).

Conceived second baby at age 42 after five months trying but had mc at 12 weeks.

Conceived again four months later at age 43 and my baby is now six months.

I was very fortunate. Second month of trying for both pregnancies. I was mid thirties.

10 years ttc since we got married. 4 years worth of nhs / ivf investigations and treatment since the age of 35 before my bfp, but I have a condition that increases egg reserve even if it reduces egg quality. Some of my similarly aged friends have low egg reserve which means even ivf is less likey to work

Started trying for DC1 in the April, had two very early miscarriages in the July and Nov and then DC1 was conceived in late Dec - I was 34. We thought it might take longer when we decided to try for DC2 given my age (36) - I had the coil removed in the June and conceived pretty much immediately, DC2 was born in the March.

First try at 33.

I fell pregnant very unexpectedly at 36 after a single contraception failure .

Of my three closest friends - one got pregnant first month of trying at 35, another got pregnant almost as quickly at 36 (and again at 39) and the third got pregnant after a year of trying at 36.

I do have a friend who started trying at 36 and finally had her only child at 41 after 3 rounds of IVF. But I know people much younger who had the same fertility issues.

Crack on! And see a doctor if it doesn’t happen after a year. Lots of luck to you .

18 months at 32, accidentally at 33, first try at 34.

First full cycle both times, at 37 and 40. I hadn’t been on hormonal contraception fir several years beforehand though.

First at 34... took about 3 weeks after I stopped my depo which is apparently meant to take time to exit the system ... I'm not betting on the same for number 2 though, getting married May (congrats to u for the wedding!) and going to try for number 2 straight after and really hoping I can conceive again and 1 wasn't just luck! 36 now so I know I will have all the extra app for being old lol altho I was under special supervision anyways because of a kidney condition so I guess I'll be used to being in there all the time 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think about 5-6 months - son was born just after I turned 36.

First time when 37

I had first at 32, 2nd at 35 and 3rd at 42! All 3 took about 2 attempts to fall pregnant. So pretty quick . But I did have a couple of miscarriages too, one before my 2nd baby ( a late one and I had to have a D&C in hospital and wait a few months ), and I also had an early miscarriage before no.3. If I were you I’d start after Xmas with eating a healthy diet, taking folic acid etc up to the wedding so you’re ready to go on the honeymoon 😀

36 and we tried once! Like literally x
