How long did it take you to conceive? 36yrs old

13months to conceive, both DH and I aged 28-29. Baby2. Due next month!!

First month both times, early30’s, good luck OP.

I’ve just turned 37 and have been trying for the best part of two years, including a missed miscarriage in January of this year. All our tests have come back normal and the doctor said my egg reserves are good for my age. But it’s just not happening.

Don’t delay trying is my advice.

30 - first month trying
35 - 3rd month trying but ectopic
35 - 2nd month trying

1st an accident at 36 and second first attempt at 38.

I got pregnant immediately with my 3 children, this time I started ttc at age 39, I'm now on cycle 17. Don't wait.

You're definitely not more fertile after having one and it's not easier 2nd time unfortunately.

I got pregnant with DS (age 2) in 4mths at age 39, been ttc for number 2 now for over a year, very common scenario sadly.

39 years old. 1st child ..... 3 days after coming off the pill

First month at 32, first month at 35 (ended in miscarriage) 2nd month at 35.

I fell pregnant first month of trying with our three children when I was 24, 27 and 32 years old. I'm now 35 and on cycle 5 of ttc number 4, however work and illness got in the way the last couple of cycles and this is our first month of 'properly' trying.

You may want to consider buying a whole bunch of ovulation tests. I bought them from eBay (but they are hospital grade CE certified) and so they do not come with any fancy plastic holder thingy. They literally are just the paper strips, individually wrapped. This way they are much cheaper and you can buy 50 or so and test every day outside of your period for the months you are trying. Well worth it. We conceived without the guess work.

I'm 37 and 19 weeks pregnant with our first baby. I conceived the second month of trying, so pretty quickly! I really thought it would take longer so feel very lucky.

I stopped taking the pill and it took 6 months to conceive DC1 (age 32) and 5 months to conceive DC2 (age 36).

I would hold off ttcing until after the honeymoon though.

Hi everyone! I was on the pill for about 10 years and I stopped taking it in July last year.
Since then I have had normal periods but have been trying to get pregnant since August. I feel like it’s taking ages. I’m 27. Any advice???

At 32 It took us 12 months and then it was ectopic so I lost my left tube too. I managed to conceive the month after and now have a 16mo, and I'm on cycle 3 of ttc no2. I personally wouldn't wait if its something you both really want as you dont know how long it will take. I have always had really regular cycles and tracked my fertile window etc etc, oh had tests done for another reason so no idea why it took so long 1st time and I'm assuming this time will be even longer if it happens for us at all (I'm 34 now)

TTC for 8 months with first at 33 ( unfortunately baby was born sleeping)

Aged 34, started TTC for 13 months, we had NHS investigations and DH (now ex) had very low sperm. Referred for IVF but when I went for first appointment I was pregnant.......with twins!!!!

I think geriatric is 40 now! It took me 8 months to conceive aged 35/36. Now trying for number 2 - I'm 39 and we're into month 12.

First month ttc at 37.
Second month at 42.

I also had 4 miscarriages after ds, the last one I was 44 who I lost at 15 weeks. I have been diagnosed with several auto immune diseases & endometriosis, all of which contribute to miscarriages. If you do have the misfortune to suffer any miscarriages, ask to be checked out for auto immune disorders as they are very common in women who suffer miscarriages, but most are easily managed to aid a succesful pregnancy.

I was 6 weeks off my 38th birthday when ds was born. It took us 18 months to get pregnant to term, I had 2 early miscarriages the year before, the first I didn't realise I was pregnant until the miscarriage, we were getting married a month later & I had just put my late period down to pre wedding stress, I started in pain at work, went to the toilet & realised something wasn't right, a trip to A & E later I knew I was miscarrying. The second one I had a positive test one week & a week later had a very heavy period like bleed, it was a chemical pregnancy. We had just been referred to the fertility clinic when I found out I was pregnant with ds, we had been married 9 months when i found out.

Should add I'm 31w pregnant now and THAT pregnancy took two years

Was 24 with DS13 and took 3 months to conceive him.
