Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

@starburst12 awww that’s exciting! Do you know how many weeks you roughly are? I am hoping to have my scan before Easter as I have lots planned and I am very much the girl who always has a glass of wine in her hand 🙈 going to be a task hiding! Bless you with the morning sickness, I am praying this is a symptom I don’t get 🤞🏻😂 xx

Starburst12 · 02/03/2020 13:32

@Vikki90 I know what you mean, I must’ve taken around 20 tests before I believed it! I’m not too bad thank you, I had my booking appointment with midwife last week, booked my 12 week scan so it’s now starting to feel real. Well, it definitely is real because morning sickness has knocked me for six! So many exciting first experiences to come for you xx

Vikki90 · 02/03/2020 12:27

Thanks @shaunab16 I just didn’t think I was pregnant as I have spotted before but I when nothing came I had to test (think part of me was too scared to test early incase of disappointment)
My cycles are long so I think around 5 weeks pregnant, so late October early November providing everything goes ok 🤞🏻
How are you getting on!? Xx

Shaunab16 · 02/03/2020 09:48

@vikki90 OMG huge congratulations!! You know it's funny when you mentioned the other day you were spotting but AF hadn't arrived, I did think ooo she's pregnant and this is her spotting eeek Lol. Obviously you dont say that to someone haha. So when will your due date roughly be?

A woman at work announced she was pregnant last week and it just made me soo jealous! I'm in the midst of moving so trying to chill about it all and use the house planning to take my mind off but easier said than done lol.

Hope everyone is doing well Grin xx

Vikki90 · 02/03/2020 09:35

@starburst12 thanks lovely! Still doesn’t feel real! Took 2 tests to make sure and keep looking at them! Ha. How are you getting on? 😃 xx

Starburst12 · 02/03/2020 09:14

@vikki90 Ahh how exciting!! Massive congratulations!xx

Vikki90 · 02/03/2020 08:38

Hi girls, so bit of a shocker after what I thought was AF arriving last weds (brown spotting) nothing actually arrived after that and yesterday we got our big fat positive! Can’t believe it!!! 😊 Still in shock as had no symptoms but funnily enough today I have woke up and feel a bit nauseous. I didn’t think it was ever going to happen so don’t give up the hope girls and have sex a lot (that’s what we did) Xxx

EithneBlue · 29/02/2020 10:19

Hey! Ew, that sucks: too busy panicking and making coronavirus tests, obviously.
I'm one week back into school and already exhausted! But it's now the weekend and husband is downstairs making me a coffee and then I am going out to a hen party for bottomless prosecco.
Trying to go without OPKs this month - just plan to DTD every other day and see what happens. According to Ovia I am in my fertile window, CD10. :-)

Jenna30ttc · 28/02/2020 17:25

@EithneBlue hiya! So the results are still not ready even though they told me to ring up today. So I'm going to try on Monday now. How are you?

EithneBlue · 28/02/2020 17:21

Hey @Jenna30ttc - thought of you today: how did it go?

Jenna30ttc · 26/02/2020 19:52

@Vikki90 I will do. Let me know how you get on too. X

AutumnCat · 26/02/2020 18:14

How is everyone? I feel really disheartened this month as we re ally didnt DTD enough though hopefully we hit the right days. Would like to get across to DH that we need to be doing it pretty much on a schedule, even if we dont quite feel like it :/. Tempted by SMEP but DH would never go for it! In the mean time I've just applied for a promotion at work... 😂

Vikki90 · 26/02/2020 08:36

@Jenna30ttc ah good, hope your results are good and put your mind at ease or at least help you come up with a plan for the next step! I have just booked in for Friday (hoping I will be fully on by then as only spotting today) but if it lands full force on Saturday/Sunday Monday would be too late anyways, so fingers crossed I get the right results. I feel ok lovely, I already knew in my mind so have just been waiting for it. Now am just thinking, on to the next! Let me know how you get on x

Jenna30ttc · 26/02/2020 08:32

@Vikki90 I'm sorry af arrived! I can ring up for my results this Friday so I will let you know. Only thing is my period was really light on the day I got tested (not sure if that affects it). How are you feeling? X

Vikki90 · 26/02/2020 08:01

Hope everyone is good this week 😘
AF just arrived for me 😒 knew it was coming but my longest cycle to date - 44 days.
@Jenna30ttc how did you get on? Have you been in for bloods? X

peachypetite · 23/02/2020 08:56

actually I think mine will too. My period is in full swing today, horrible pains and crampy. URGH.

EithneBlue · 22/02/2020 23:44

@peachypetite - my next cycle would put me at an end of November due date: the month after almost bang on 25th December. The still-hypothetical child can suck it up: it ain't that bad.

peachypetite · 22/02/2020 13:26

Is everyone planning to try next cycle as normal? (Christmas baby)?

Vikki90 · 21/02/2020 19:02

@peachypetite yeah it’s no harm booking an appointment, I am a believer in we know our own bodies better than anyone else so definitely go for peace of mind x

peachypetite · 21/02/2020 17:42

Ah I just meant booking an appt. about a year ago I was referred for a transvaginal scan due to my awful periods (they have always been terrible even on the pill v heavy and painful). Unfortunately the scan showed everything as normal and they never got to to the bottom of it. I was prescribed the acid stuff to make flow lighter but that isn’t getting to the root cause. So for the last year or more I’ve just had this feeling something isn’t right. Maybe I’ll see how I get on March and April and then take it further? I’m in my 30s and feel like I can’t afford to wait a year before next steps.

Jenna30ttc · 21/02/2020 17:20

@Vikki90 oh yes I did mention it before! I totally forgot. I think for me whatever the result (I say this with caution) it will hopefully give me the reassurance I need that everything is working fine. I will let you know how I get on. X

MrsH0692 · 21/02/2020 16:58

@Jenna30ttc thanks lovely.

I feel horrific with a cold and a few symptoms, but wouldn’t have it any other way! 🤣 xxx

Vikki90 · 21/02/2020 15:47

@peachypetite it’s worth asking if you feel concerned but I think because you got a peak on the ovulation kit I would take that as you are definitely ovulating. I have never had peak hence my concern x

peachypetite · 21/02/2020 11:40

Hmm I’m wondering if I should also do the same. I usually have a few days of spotting but my period has properly started now, early. Only a 26 day cycle!

Vikki90 · 21/02/2020 10:12

@EithneBlue like your thought process!

@Jenna30ttc glad your good!! Was wondering where you were! I followed your advice and rang my doctors and they have asked me to do the same when I come on (they are going to try and squeeze me in as I can’t book a certain date due to my cycles being messed up) let me know how you get on lovely xx
