Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

@jenna30 sorry its not your month but like you said, we know our bodies... @FirsttimeTTC yeah I'm hopeful but tbh I'm due af tomorrow and I've just got a feeling she's going to show up this month. How's your month going?

I feel like I've had alot of the symptoms you could have in early pregnancy but that I've just made them up on my mind. I had a small amount of brown spotting when I wiped yesterday day time (11dpo) and I've been really headache today 12pdo so I'm pretty sure I'm out as I usually get headache /migraines the day before af arrives.... And tomorrow is the day she's due (13dpo).
I'll keep you posted though xx

jenna30 · 30/12/2019 15:38

@myttcjourney thank you. Its fine. I really did expect it this month. Im going to try the SMEP process this month and see how that goes. My DH has just gone out shopping and has he was leaving i yelled 'get some Brazilian nuts' 😂.

@jenna30 ahhh the dreaded AF! sorry to hear that, really good it came on time though

Good luck for your next cycle 😀

jenna30 · 30/12/2019 15:23

Well ladies.... af has arrived right on time 😂. Onto the next cycle.

myttcjourney · 29/12/2019 22:59

@jenna30 yea really similar. Fingers crossed AF doesn't show for you this month x

lunasunshine · 29/12/2019 20:05

Hi ladies, I’d like to join please Smile

TTC baby number 1 and have been trying since August. Last month was a complete disaster since me and my husband both got ill during my ovulation! He had a chest infection and I had a really painful wisdom tooth. No way we were going to do the deed!🤨

I’ve just started my period so this is CD1. Really hoping this is our month! We haven’t been trying for too long but it feels like forever. I just finished reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility this weekend which was really helpful so we’ve decided to start charting this cycle to see if that helps at all.

Baby dust to everyone 🍼 It’s really great to have a space to share all this stuff!

jenna30 · 29/12/2019 19:51

@myttcjourney hiya my cycles since stopping the pill was 29, 26 and then 31. Im on day 30 today so i should be expecting af tomorrow. I ovulated this month on cd16. So kind of similar to you.

@Why1stheskyblu3 hi, i was excited when i first came off the pill and the idea of trying. But as the process has gone on it has slightly become a tad difficult. I think that's expected though. Im sure when it does happen i will ecstatic and slightly scared but good scared. Awhh well good luck to you chick. The process should be exciting and i think as long as you don't expect it to happen straightaway (it could still) you will be fine. Baby dust to you. X

Hello, sorry just joining this, we have just started TTC, had nexplanon implant removed 1 and a half months ago. Finally struck up the courage to inform mother that we want a family (odd relationship, bad childhood) and now I have told someone I feel really nervous!! Do you ever feel like you are ready for this? When me and DH talk about it together, it feels right and exciting and everything 🙈

FirsttimeTTC · 29/12/2019 19:19

@Sausage1990 they definitely sound like it could be early symptoms! 9dpo may not show a positive as it’s so early! fingers crossed for you if you test, sending baby dust Flowers

jenna30 · 29/12/2019 10:24

@Sausage1990 its definitely sounds like pregnancy symptoms and to be honest you know your body and what's normal or not. I think give it two more days (so 13dpo) and then test. But i know how difficult is not to get the urge to poas. Thanks for asking. Im okay. My AF is due tomorrow (according to my flo app) so I'm just waiting for it. Not going to test unless I'm officially late (2/3 days late). Ive not had any symptoms except a few twinges here and there recently but that could be to af arriving. Let me know the outcome of the test i hope its good news x

@swirls3468 we have been TTC since sept too! Nothing yet!

Fingers crossed this is both our months x

Sausage1990 · 28/12/2019 22:14

Hi everyone. Great to see some new names popping up.

I don't know if I should test again tomorrow? I'll be 11dpo and had a bfn on friday (9dpo) but I've been feeling a bit nauseated the last 2 days and I've stated getting the worst spot break out. I'm really not a spotty person and have had 3 huge cystic type spots plus a load of smaller spots. It's so out of character for me. I'm still cramping and having lower back ache and on an off sore boobs... I am worried it will be another bfn and I'm reading into everything.

@jenna30 how are you getting on? How many dpo are you now? When do you think you'll test next? Xx

FirsttimeTTC · 28/12/2019 18:34

@jenna30 it is definitely frustrating! Just waiting game now for AF. Also still POAS just incase, but other than a super faint line a while back, they are all giving me the answer I knew I was going to get lol.
Thanks for the baby dust, sending lots to you too Flowers

PS - I’ve been doing OPKs (neg too haha) so we are using this time to have a little bit more of a break and just DTD For fun 😂 But I had no idea you could actually get pregnant with no AF, that’s definitely food for thought. Thank you!

swirls3468 · 28/12/2019 18:33

@myttcjourney Hi I'm pretty similar to you. My cycle days are 30-31 days too and says on the app I ovulate around day 16/17. But not sure if I do or not because not been doing the OPK or anything like that. Been trying but relaxed since September but not happened yet! Good luck xxx

myttcjourney · 28/12/2019 17:42

Hope it's ok to join

TTC since September
currently CD13
Last month ovulated around CD17- cycles are normally 30/31 days

Is anyone else on a similar cycle day to me?

Maisie17 · 28/12/2019 16:50

Hi all, I'd love to join if that's ok!

Background: I'm 30, husband is 34. Married in June, had coil removed in Sept/Oct and this is cycle 3 of TTC - AF due 5th of Jan. We're both about as health-conscious and obsessive as it's possible to (healthily!) be so must say I was irrationally disappointed we didn't get pregnant straight away. I feel a bit as though this kind of process will bring out the worst in me in some ways, wish I were more laidback!!

Really went all-out for this cycle, if you catch my drift. And no alcohol over xmas. So really crossing fingers!

jenna30 · 28/12/2019 16:47

@FirsttimeTTC p.s you can still get pregnant without af arriving so still dtd when you can. 😀

OP posts:
jenna30 · 28/12/2019 16:45

@FirsttimeTTC oh dear! I cant imagine how you are feeling. I get frustrated being a day or two late. I hope it arrives soon or better yet you get your BFP soon. Sending Baby Dust your way. X

OP posts:
FirsttimeTTC · 28/12/2019 16:00

Ahhh!! I’m getting so frustrated that I’m 21 days late for AF (several bfns!) I’m feeling cramps today and I’ve been so emotional and moody the past few days so hoping she’s about to come!!!

Anyways! Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas & a fab 2020 with lots of BFPs!

jenna30 · 27/12/2019 21:06

@EithneBlue oh dear ahh well at least you know for sure and its no more guessing. Good luck for the next month. My boobs feel fuller today but i reckon its because af is due in a couple of days. I did a one step test which was negative. I really don't fancy using the one frer test i have left before my af is classed as late. Im sure i will be joining you in a couple of days... we can then go through the next cycle together.

OP posts:
EithneBlue · 27/12/2019 20:47

Ah, it was just AF as I suspected, although that was a weird and short cycle. On to the next cycle I go. 10 days to the OPKs.

@jenna30 I hear you - I think it's also important to remember that people in RL speak less about this sort of thing than we do online and a couple of months isn't long -- you might find if you ask some probing personal questions that it took a few months. On the other hand, a very good friend of mine literally knocked up his wife first try and I am beginning to feel jealous of that! I too am getting jealous of pg friends and friends with babies.

KerryW87 · 27/12/2019 19:54

@jenna30 Can I join?

I'm 32, have two boys aged 10 and 8. Was separated for two years then met my partner, we've been together two years and currently TTC no.3! My boys were conceived accidentally whilst on the pill, and since TTC since October I have NO IDEA how I ever managed to have two children without trying 😂

I came off the rod in October but haven't been lucky last month or this month. Fingers crossed for January and fingers crossed for all of us! xx

jenna30 · 27/12/2019 19:44

Ugh isn't it sad how you feel when someone around you is pregnant? Deep down I feel so happy for them but I'm also deflated at the fact that I'm not. One of my friends has recently become pregnant and i just feel so fed up with how hard it is for me. I know its only been a couple of months but its also seems to happen so quickly for other people. How is everyone else feeling?

OP posts:
Sausage1990 · 27/12/2019 17:44

Hi... So I could resist and tested this morning with a frer test but it was a bfn which isn't really a surprise given I'm only 9dpo.

I've been feeling very crampy for days and I have a really achey lower back. I don't know if it's a good sign or not but it is what it is... I'm going to wait bwofe testing again... I can't decide if I'll wait until Monday when I'm 11dpo or NYE when af is actually due... We'll see what I can manage haha

How are you all doing?
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas 😊
