Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

@Jenna30ttc haha Im glad it made you laugh! I just waxed my lip and I hate it. I stick the wax strip on and stand there for a good few minutes trying to pluck up the courage to rip it off. OUCH! Was totally not worth it, I should just embrace the tash.

You do sound like you have a few symptoms so don’t count yourself out until AF comes! Yeah I’m going to pop into town tomorrow and pick up some FRER ready for either Friday or sat. I really want to try and hold off until Saturday, I’ll be 10dpo then.

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 17:12

@FirsttimeTTC your post made me laugh (not at you) it actually cheered me up.

So I never really feel anything except a day before af I feel these sore sensations down there. Really random but I have never suffered from cramps when I'm on af or before af arrives. Yesterday I was 7dpo and I felt a few twinges, bloatiness (not sure if that's an actual word but oh well) and a few back aches. But I really actually don't think it's positive symptoms. I'm not due for another 6 days. Today my stomach felt really tender even so much that it kind of hurt when I was leaning against my desk at work. I don't even have the urge to poas because I just know I'm not. I would wait maybe another day or two. But if you do decide to test use a FRER. People have gotten a postive at 9dpo but it doesn't work for everyone. But you never know. P.s a pampering evening sounds lovely.

FirsttimeTTC · 22/01/2020 15:36

7dpo. Finding it so hard not to symptom spot. My nipples are SO sensitive but they always are around a week before AF. I had a slight twinge earlier today but I think I might’ve been imagining it.
Yesterday I was super hormonal, I was crying then laughing then shouting for no reason! Poor DP didn’t know what to do with himself haha. But today I’m a lot less mood-swingy and I’m actually in a really good mood. The only exception is that I’m desperately wanting to POAS. Do you think 9dpo is too early to start?
I’m going to pamper myself tonight, run a nice bath, shave my hairy legs, probably wax my upper lip (wow I sound like I’m super hairy haha - I’m not, just have dark hair) do a face mask, paint my toe nails and relax.

What are you ladies doing to try and pass time in the TWW?

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 14:20

@AutumnCat Welcome to the crazy thread. Its annoying when you don't know where you are with your cycles. But it sounds like you dtd enough times before OV. Its hard not to overthink but feel free to post on here if you need to vent or need advice etc. Not sure if I will be of much help but I'll try my best. Fingers crossed for you.

AutumnCat · 21/01/2020 23:48

May I join? this is our first cycle ttc and I think we missed the boat. I sense I ovulated later than Clue app suggests but DH was having an awful week at work so latest we DTD was about five days before ov :/. AF due Sunday (ish) but my cycles are irregular and v long and I only had the coil out just before Christmas so things may have changed because of that. So...no idea where we are. Going to hold off testing until at least Sunday! Meanwhile hoping to make some ttc friends here:)

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 22:25

Definitely fingers crossed it's our month soon 🤞🏽

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 22:20

@Jenna30ttc totally! Every month I am like oh maybe it’s because we didn’t do it on this day..! I just find crazy I spent so many years on the pill trying to avoid pregnancy and then when I come off it hasn’t just happened...but maybes this month will be our month? Positivity is key 😬

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 22:10

@Vikki90 so since stopping the pill my cycles have been 26,29,31,and 30. So they have been increasing. That what we have been doing this month trying to have sex eod though I should've maybe started on cd8 but started on cd11. Who knows you can always think what if can't you. Or do everything right and still not become pregnant. Lolll. All fun and games 🙄

Jessharlow81 · 21/01/2020 21:57

Thankyou I will just weird with everything going on not really normal for me to spot before a period I’m due on Saturday so it’s just a waiting game

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 21:44

@Jessharlow81 I have experienced spotting up to a week before period but not deep red blood. If you are due on I would say it could be that but then some people have implantation bleeding? If you don’t come on in a few days I would take a test for peace of mind.

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 21:40

@Jenna30ttc sorry I am such a lazy texter it was meant to say I knew I wasn’t pregnant! But yeah I am the same I came off the pill end of June and took the laid back approach but have been trying properly for 3 cycles now. I was on the pill for 13 years so thought the first couple of months my body was maybe just getting back in sync but now I have no clue? I am very impatient but I am trying to not get obsessed but it’s hard not to...guess it’s why we are all here looking for each other’s advice! 😊 we are trying to have sex every day/every other day this month (or 42 days as that’s what my cycles seem to be saying) Are your cycles more regular? I feel it would be easier to track if so?

Jessharlow81 · 21/01/2020 21:40

So I started light spotting yesterday got slightly more but still light with streaks of dark red we are ttc so hoping it isn’t af but I’m not sure I’ll attach the picture

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 21:29

@Jessharlow81 sorry I was hoping you were going to explosion further? As @Vikki90 asked what's happening with the bleeding?

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 21:27

@Vikki90 lol that's fine I'm the same I forget details easily 🤣. I came of the pill is September but I would say I started trying properly from the December cycle. First few months or so was really me just having the approach of 'if it happens it will happen' but when I didn't I start getting obsessed. How long have you been trying? Also did you say you knew you were pregnant? Or did you mean you thought you were pregnant?

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 21:08

Welcome @Jessharlow81 also...what’s your story with the bleeding? I will try and help but google is normally my doctor ha!

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 21:07

@Jenna30ttc that’s what I felt like this time last week as knew that I was pregnant. How long have you been trying? I could look back at the thread but I am just being lazy now and I have a memory like a fish! 🙈

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 21:02

@Vikki90 hiya! Nice to hear from you. I know I'm soooo over it this cycle. Tbh the most relaxed i am is when I'm at the beginning of my cycle. So I hope the next 8 days goes fast.

peachypetite · 21/01/2020 20:47

@Sausage1990 sorry to hear about your chemical.

Vikki90 · 21/01/2020 20:44

Just catching up ladies, got everything crossed for you @peachypetite
Think I am like you @Jenna30ttc I feel nothing, well I get cramps all the time and think ooo is this ovulation pain but it’s probably just food with me 🤣 I am at the beginning of the cycle stage so feeling very laid back but that will all change when I am waiting for AF to arrive. X

peachypetite · 21/01/2020 19:53

I’m 9 dpo if I go by the app, I’m not doing opks. I had no idea greasy hair could be a symptom! I will see if my period arrives when it’s due.

Jessharlow81 · 21/01/2020 19:45

Sorry to jump on me and partner are trying to conceive I just need someone’s advice on this bleeding

Sausage1990 · 21/01/2020 19:35

@peachypetite Those do sound like promising symptoms 🤞🏻
We had a chemical last month but I almost immediately had the most greasy hair and twinges and cramping the whole time... I'll keep everything crossed for you xx

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 19:30

@peachypetite how many DPO are you? Twinges sounds promising.

peachypetite · 21/01/2020 17:51

I had what I can only describe as “twinges” this morning.
Work has been horrible today so at least it’s taking my mind off it - it’s set to be a very busy week.

Jenna30ttc · 20/01/2020 21:13

@peachypetite @EithneBlue I don't feel anything 😂 I never do tbh.
