Hi guys

Not sure about anyone else but i have found that that i have tried posting on various threads and sometimes your own post gets really lost which can be slightly disheartening. I thought i would start this thread for anyone who has just started their TTC journey and together we can share our thoughts and experiences.... i do ask that (not to be mean) that this thread is only for people who have just started their TTC journey to avoid disappointment for people who are way into their journey and who may be experiencing different things. My own story is that i came of the pill in September and have yet to get my BFP. I got my first positive on Saturday just gone and now im 1dpo. Be great to hear from anyone in a similiar boat! Xx

Hi ladies
Happy Friday to you all
I am really trying to not get excited but yesterday and today I have had little bits of light pink in my urine and just now when I wiped on the tissue. I now have a dull belly ache. Could this be implantation bleeding? Sorry for the TMI but I can’t talk to anyone in real life about this, but my periods never start with such pale pink. It’s always dark brown. My period is due in three days according to flo app. Thoughts welcome. Thank god for this thread👀

@jenna30ttc The way your feeling is normal. It's not easy being around people who are pregnant when you want to be. Our close friend is expecting and a good friend from work announced recently too. Its hard but try to reframe the way you think about it. I've just said to myself, at least I know when we have our baby that they will have a ready made group of baby friends ready and waiting to grow up with... And I'll have some friends to be mum friends with.
It's not easy but it's how I try to deal with it... I don't dismiss my feelings because they're valid but try to reframe it so I can deal it... I don't know if that's helpful 😏

Also separately @FirsttimeTTC a glass or two won't hurt... And it may be the last glass of wine for a while if all goes well 😉🤞🏻

Sausage1990 · 23/01/2020 22:25

@EithneBlue @AutumnCat it is very frustrating. I had a chemical last month so I'm just wondering that's what's delayed things a bit this month.
The bleed was like a normal period and lasted the same length of time so I assumed it would be a normal cycle but maybe it's just taking a bit longer...

I'm going to continue to try to stay stress free and not get too anxious because that will not help my cycle. I'm going to take the approach that DH being away means I get to be selfish and really give myself some tlc... Think positively!!!

Baby making is meant to be fun so chill the fork out (she repeats over and over and over in her head ahaha)
Xx

peachypetite · 23/01/2020 21:33

@firsttime I would definitely have a few drinks and enjoy yourself. My period is due in a few days but until I have a bfp I’m still having a drink or two.

FirsttimeTTC · 23/01/2020 21:25

Also, I have a night out planned tomorrow, should I not drink just incase? It’s been a long week and all I can think of is a glass of wine. Or three Crown Blush

Pamper evening was lovely thanks ladies! Was definitely needed!

FirsttimeTTC · 23/01/2020 21:23

@swife ahh! A new cycle is like a fresh start! Fingers crossed that this is your cycle!

Ahhhh! I’ve bought a frer for Saturday when I’ll be 10dpo. Please someone talk me down from doing one tomorrow. 9dpo will surely only give me a negative anyway? I’m soo impatient.

AutumnCat · 23/01/2020 20:45

@jenna30ttc yeah my DH started it by having two girls on his team at our wedding! It's nice, we've been friends for a long time :). And I'm really sorry about how hard it will be seeing your SIL. Totally get how you feel there, and that's totally allowed xx

@sausage1990 I share your pain, pretty certain the same more or less happened to us this month with DH totally overworked during what would have been the best week to DTD. We did it a lot the previous week which would have been fine if I had ovulated on time but pretty sure I didnt...

Jenna30ttc · 23/01/2020 20:36

@Swife yayyyy! That's great news. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Swife · 23/01/2020 20:22

Well... my wait is over! I started my cycle today!😆 There's reasons I'm excited. First, we can start a new month with more info then the previous month. I also found that the two apps I use for the OPKs ( my first time) are very accurate with only a 1 day difference. That's great because it makes tracking so much easier.

I hope everyone is moving forward in their journey

EithneBlue · 23/01/2020 19:31

@Sausage1990 - That sounds so frustrating :-( Perhaps your cycle is still a little confused? Depending how long your husband is away DTD before he goes anyway (use some pre-seed to help those little guys in if you don't have fertile CM) and again when he comes back? You might get lucky and ovulate once he's home again. Fingers crossed your body sorts itself out soon!

peachypetite · 23/01/2020 17:59

@19CLT92 May be best to start your own thread lovely, I have no experience of that personally.

Sausage1990 · 23/01/2020 17:46

Hi girls 😊 how are you all doing?

I suppose I just wanted to come to share and have a moment really... I know you'll all understand.

I'm currently on cd18 with ovulation predicted in 3 days (my average cycle is 35days) anyway despite being 3 days out ish, I don't have any change to my cm, which I usually do a few days before ovulation.
Usually I get some slippery wet cm and then it goes to proper ecwm for a few days which is peak. I don't normally do ovulation testing just listen to my body but decided I would test this month which has confirmed what my cm is telling me... No signs of ovulation yet... And I'm just a bit gutted.

My DH is working away midweek this week and next so literally the weekend is the only chance to try this cycle. Usually my app is pretty accurate give or take a few days and my cm would have already changed by now... I just feel disappointed that out chances this month are slim to none.

Maybe it's silly to be disappointed but I really am.

Hope you girls are all having more luck with timley ovulation xx

19CLT92 · 23/01/2020 00:37

Hello, as theres quite a lot of you in here. I thought I would jump in and ask, any of you ladies used vitex or using it to help with irregular periods and ovulation? Its herbal but.meant to help I've just started it and have had a heavy period 2 days later, anyone had this experience? Or.know of it. Thanks

EithneBlue · 22/01/2020 23:33

@peachypetite - I booked a holiday for April and another for July. I've got marathons and half marathons booked too - but I'm OK with the slight risk of financial loss. Maybe book somewhere not like... the other side of the world and cough up an extra £20 for insurance that'll cover it if you do need to cancel?

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 23:26

@EithneBlue awh thank you but I really honestly don't think it's my month. Could just be symptoms of an early af. But I guess I'll soon find out in 6 days or so. Let us know how you get on tomorrow and if af arrives.

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 23:24

@EithneBlue nup as the other ladies said you aren't a lunatic. If you are then we all must be! Ive already said no to one hen because I thought and even do still think that i could possibly be pregnant by then but as each cycle passes I'm realising I won't be a far gone as I thought I would so I've decided if I'm not conceived by then I will be booking last minute flights to Marbella and getting absolutely hammered. @peachypetite like you said we can't put our lives on hold and yet we are stalling plans 😂.

@AutumnCat how interesting never heard of a lady being an usher but I love it and I guess it must happen but you just don't really hear about it often. I'm also getting my hair cut and nails don't this Friday for an engagement on Saturday oh by the way where I will be seeing my sil for the first time since she announced her pregnancy so not sure how I feel about that. My heart is happy for them but my head isn't. Is that selfish?

peachypetite · 22/01/2020 23:08

I’m also not sure what to do about booking a holiday in April/May in case I were to get pregnant and feel awful! I would usually book in advance but i don’t feel I can. Will probably wait and see and then book last minute. I’ve been put off by a couple of my friends who had terrible sickness in the early weeks. But I also know I can’t put my life on hold.

AutumnCat · 22/01/2020 22:37

@EithneBlue and @peachypetite same Grin. Especially that I'm an usher at a wedding in July so what will I wear (yes a female usher, its one of our closest friends getting married and DH is best man) and how long can I put off the rest of the ushers from outfit shopping?!

peachypetite · 22/01/2020 22:07

@eithneblue you are not a lunatic, no. I have events coming up in the spring like hen parties, weddings...

AutumnCat · 22/01/2020 22:06

I never go to a salon except my hairdresser. Would love to just to feel a bit treated! Meanwhile I just had a nosebleed which I've heard can be a sign. But I'm very determined that I'm not and that period will arrive early next week. Like you @Jenna30ttc I would rather be pleasantly surprised tham get my hopes up...

EithneBlue · 22/01/2020 22:01

@Jenna30ttc - well, regardless of you being certain small twinges are nothing, I have my fingers crossed that you're wrong ;-)

@FirsttimeTTC - a pamper evening sounds lovely :-)

I'm just waiting for AF and CD1. Should be tomorrow, if my calculations are correct. PMS symptoms are (finally) fading so seems likely that I am correct. Then onwards and upwards and fingers crossed for the next cycle.

Question: is anyone else stuck constantly thinking, "if I get pregnant this cycle, it will be due on this day and also I will have to not drink XYZ wedding/event"? Or am I just an actual lunatic?

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 20:08

@FirsttimeTTC thank you. How is your pampering evening going?

FirsttimeTTC · 22/01/2020 19:55

@Jenna30ttc ahh lovely! Enjoy the beauty salon. I love having my eyebrows done.
I totally understand where you’re coming from. Getting your hopes up all the time to be shot down is exhausting.

peachypetite · 22/01/2020 18:42

I feel totally normal today! Kind of just want to fast forward several days and see if my period comes.

Jenna30ttc · 22/01/2020 17:28

@FirsttimeTTC I'm the same when I do mine. But I'm getting my done at the beauty salon this weekend as I'm get to bf my eyebrows done anyway. I know but I'd rather accept that I'm not than hope if that makes sense. I'm fine with. I think its hurts more when I believe it's my month but it isn't. Ooo let us know when you do test. Fingers crossed!
