Anyone looking to start TTC in New Year?

Join here please! I’m still taking my pill at the moment but current packet runs out on 7th Jan so planning to start then but not really track anything officially. I’ve been reading up about conception vitamins and going to buy some this week to start taking after new year- does anyone have recommendations for particular brands?
Will be my first but partners 2nd, very nervous but excited at the same time. No idea what to expect but hoping to have some ladies in the same situation to chat to!

Well my cycle clearly hasn't sorted itself out, I've started spotting today, a week earlier than expected! Will see if this become full blown AF!

Hi all, thank you for the get well soon messages. Having flu and my first period in 12 years is absolute hell, been crying a lot Hmm and hoping I get pregnant this month so I don’t have to have another one! I forgot how horrible my periods are, why was I wishing for this Grin
Anyway day 3 today another couple of days and it should all be over, Ovia says 9 days until my fertile period so whoop whoop!
Anyone else going to be on a similar timeline?

Started my journey two days ago for dc2... Worried that at 34 it might not be as easy as the first time when my DD came as a surprise!!

@alliejay81 @Newbie0818 sorry it hasn't happened this month. I'm still not sure, I've not really had clear clues either way, oh well, I've got a busy week at work next week which should hopefully distract me from thinking about it.

@Lola871 exactly! I had to stop myself buying a test on Friday, but waiting until next weekend.

@yoomoo sorry to hear about the flu and AF definitely not a fun but glad you've got the flu meds to ease it.

Good luck to all those testing and trying not to test. I'm away with work next week so am glad my fertile week is the week after.

@rhirhibumblebee that's exactly why I don't have any tests in my house! If I have to go out and get one it'll curb the temptation 🤣

Anyone testing this weekend? I'm 3dpo I think so another period of waiting for me.

@Newbie0818 I'm waiting until Friday to test (although I'm feeling pretty confident I won't need to). I don't like seeing BFN, although my app is telling me to test today... first time round I made it until 6 weeks without testing!!!

@lucymagoo symptom spotting is the worst, yesterday I felt tired and a bit light headed so I thought 'maybe...' today I feel completely fine. Just try and relax, you'll know soon enough.

@Newbie0818 I'm trying to stay distracted too.. even did some weeding earlier Shock

I'm on CD28, DPO14, AF any time now. The next 24-48 hours are the only bit of the TWW I struggle with. Definitely have PMT so no real point in testing.

Cheer me up with some good news, somebody???

I have no idea @Ginger87 :/ just having some spotting and cervix still super high and soft. I’m terrified to test so I’m going to wait it out. I peed on an opk to curb the temptation haha! A line there but not as dark as control so I’m not going to read into anything. Going to try my best to keep distracted this weekend as I hate seeing bfn’s. really hoping this spotting isn’t af knocking on the door too :( my cervix is usually low and hard when she is though so that’s throwing me off a bit. Torture!

AF is due in two days but my cervix is still really high? Don’t really have any other major symptoms I might have felt implantation pricks but I’m not too sure! Any one else have a high cervix and still have AF? Thanks!!

I'm possibly maybe 5-6 days po and crazy with symptom spotting, am I knackered because I've implanted or knackered because it's morning and I haven't had my coffee yet? Anyone else going crazy? 😬😂

@butterflylove81 Same for me I could test around 12th, I think I will give in and test Valentine's Day though because I'm too impatient! Especially as I have tests at home, it's too tempting 😩🙈

According to my app I can take a pregnancy test on the 12th of feb that would be 2 days before AF my previous pregnancies showed up 6 data before I'm going to wait longer this time rather than squinting over lines. Hopefully that will mean I won't have to test Valentine's Day and be too upset and can still have a lovely day either way x

I spent the entire day on cloud nine I got a smiley face on a clear blue digital. Tested again at bedtime and it was back to negative again Confused I have no idea what's going on with my body. My three year old finally went to bed at 9pm we had a Chinese and date night after. Wish me luck guys I'm working tomorrow and not sure we will get the chance again xxx seeing positive vibes to every lovely lady here xx

@Newbie0818 hmm, I'd assume AF would be due two weeks after ovulation? Though if AF was due 3 days ago are you sure you're not pregnant already??

I have no idea @Ginger87 the whole late ovulation thing has really thrown me off, so I don’t know if my Af due date is based on last cycle (aka 3 days ago), or in another week at the end of the tww?! So confusing. Might buy a cheapie and test in a few days though.

Evening all! Well not only have I got AF but I’ve also got the flu! Feeling horrendous earlier but currently dosed up on cold & flu meds actually weirdly glad I’m not pregnant and can take all of this! Stomach cramps along with flu symptoms is not good but at least it’s the weekend so I can fully rest up.

Sorry to hear that @FootballAndBeer145 Sad wishing you luck for the tests. Let us know how you get on.
@butterflylove81 oh no Sad good luck with seeing the GP, keep us updated if you’d like to.

@Ginger87 I’m so glad to finally have something to track! I think this might just be a period for me instead of withdrawal bleed as it’s taken too long but who knows. So lovely to have actual numbers on Ovia now!

@Newbie0818 ooh, it could be! When are you going to test? My CM is normal but I have been feeling a bit off over the course of the week and especially today (headache, light headed etc), and not been sleeping/ having vivid dreams which is very unlike me. Trying not to think too much into it though. Just want to get next week over with so I either get AF or test.
