Join here please! I’m still taking my pill at the moment but current packet runs out on 7th Jan so planning to start then but not really track anything officially. I’ve been reading up about conception vitamins and going to buy some this week to start taking after new year- does anyone have recommendations for particular brands?
Will be my first but partners 2nd, very nervous but excited at the same time. No idea what to expect but hoping to have some ladies in the same situation to chat to!

morning all! Sorry I have had such a busy weekend I haven't been on.

Tested this morning after a really vivid dream of doing a positive test to the point I woke up and was like omg how do I tell everyone. Then realised I hadn't, and actual test was negative. was a FRER and I'm due on tomorrow so think I'm out now - my temp had dropped so I figured I was but it's come back up and it looks like a classic implantation dip (but I know they don't really mean anything!).

Anyway I have a weird mix of emotions as stuff happened at work last week that mean it really really is better not to be expecting September, but obviously I am still a bit disappointed as had been secretly hoping we would be first month lucky!

On to cycle 2!!

@rhirhibumblebee did you test again?

Congrats @Spark27 and everyone else!!

professorastrocat · 20/01/2020 10:21

Hi everyone.....we started ttc after Christmas but I'm just joining here now. On cycle 2 now and going to try and reign in on the symptom spotting madness from cycle 1. I was convinced I had all symptoms of pregnancy but nope! Hope everyone is well here. I'm on cd4 is anyone else around same point? I have pretty short cycles at the moment of 26 days. Age 37 and ttc #2, fingers crossed.

Ginger87 · 20/01/2020 08:17

@Anon87 the trying is so much fun 😂. Don't rely just on the apps, Clue had me down as ovulating later this week but my CM definitely looked egg whitey yesterday so think it's already happened.

loveandsparkles · 20/01/2020 08:15

Like at the moment the wait to ovulation just seems forever I don't know what's wrong with me!

loveandsparkles · 20/01/2020 08:13

I don't know why, but now we have decided to start trying I feel I can't stop thinking about being pregnant how do you all deal with this nervous excitement every month? I fell pregnant quickly with my other 2 but now I'm older (38) I'm feeling a bit nervous

Anon87 · 20/01/2020 07:42

@Ginger87 I had mirena coil (3 years). The nurse said there would be a slight chance I'd get caught straight from removal as we DTD a few nights before but my app prediction shows I wouldn't have been ovulating anyway (if it's predicted right).
Be a bit poop to miss out on the fun of trying anyway 😆

Ginger87 · 20/01/2020 07:36

@alliejay81 I'm 12 hours in to the TWW and getting impatient already lol. Though did have a minor freak out last night when I realised that we could have made a baby already... Also if DH asks me one more time if I 'feel pregnant yet' I don't know what I'll do 🙄

@Anon87 yeah I know what you mean, I told myself when I came off the pill and couple of weeks ago that we'd just see how things go initially, but that just didn't happen 😂. I'm useless at remembering dates so at least tracking things will help me remember when things happen. What were you on?

Lola871 · 20/01/2020 06:24

Hope everyone's doing ok! Congrats again to everyone with BFPs already! I'm due to ovulate at the end of this week / beginning of next so I think I'm going to try using OPKs today and see how I get on with those!

Anon87 · 19/01/2020 23:03

@ginger87 I'm new off contraception too. Never tracked before (never had to) and waiting to start is doing my head in!! Feel like I've not got much to join in with 😄

alliejay81 · 19/01/2020 20:14

@Ginger87 let's wait together then Smile. I'd recommend clear blue, they are expensive but are so easy to use!

Ginger87 · 19/01/2020 19:03

@alliejay81 yep! Though I'm still not entirely sure if I've ovulated... not been off the pill for long so still new to all the tracking...

alliejay81 · 19/01/2020 18:35

Congrats to the BFPs, fingers crossed for February to the BFNs. Anyone else strapping themselves in for the TWW? I quite like it until the PMT starts!

DontGoJasonWaterfalls · 19/01/2020 16:57

Thank you @Spark27 and @rhirhibumblebee I've ordered some cheapy tests and they're due to arrive tomorrow. It's completely stopped now, only started late Friday afternoon 🤔 it's really bizarre. My cycles have been irregular in the past but not like this or to this extent really. I didn't measure ovulation this month either but probably will next month to get an idea of when I actually ovulate.

Ginger87 · 19/01/2020 13:03

Congratulations on all the BFP's!! So exciting that it's happening so quickly for some of us!

I think (very much think) I had some EWCM this morning but only a little bit. Only finished my withdrawal bleed last weekend so probably too early but who knows...

rhirhibumblebee · 19/01/2020 11:42

@yoomoo BFN for me too !

@DontGoJasonWaterfalls Have you tested again? If not, maybe try and see? Like @Spark27 said it could be implantation bleeding. X

Spark27 · 19/01/2020 10:50

@DontGoJasonWaterfalls do you know for sure when you ovulated? Did you track it with tests or are you going by previous cycles (sorry, too many comments to look back through). It could be that you ovulated late and so implanted later than you would have thought. Things that I have read talking about implantation bleeding say it is usually shorter than AF, around 2 to 3 days.

10 days late for AF seems a long time, but if everything happened late it could just be taking time for hcg levels to get up. Are you going to test again?

Also, how regular is your AF? If your not too long off birth control you dates could be off as well.

I'm sure you are thinking all this anyway. Fingers crossed you know what's going on soon xx

DontGoJasonWaterfalls · 19/01/2020 10:21

Congratulations to all the BFPs!

I'm in limbo here. AF was due anywhere between 10 days to a week ago. I tested 10 days ago and got a BFN. I had pink spotting about 7 days ago. 2 days ago I thought AF had started but its minimal amounts of (Tmi alert!) brown/black blood.

I've not had this before and didn't have anything like it when I was pregnant with DD. Any ideas?

yoomoo · 19/01/2020 09:46

Morning all!

Excellent lines @Spark27 I’m sure you’ll be absolutely fine, keeping fingers crossed for you!

Great news @alliejay81hoping you are posting a positive test in a couple of weeks.

@lastonetime that’s a lovely strong line, hoping your sickness doesn’t return that’s my biggest fear being sick so I’m praying I only have nausea!

So I did a FRER this morning and it was negative, feel a weird mix of relief and disappointment. I don’t really want a September baby but at the same time felt a bit sad that I wasn’t despite having all of these symptoms. Still don’t know if I did ovulate a couple of weeks ago as didn’t manage to get the peak on the OPK. I did put that in and Ovia calculated I should test in 3 days so I suppose it’s possible I tested a little early?

Anyhow will do one of my internet cheapies again on Wednesday unless AF comes.

I hate the waiting, boobs feel like bullets my nipples could pick up a radio station and are constantly sticking out. Waves of nausea, thought I was going to be sick in the hairdressers yesterday: I just don’t know and I hate the unpredictability of it all.

Off shopping today with DSD for PE trainers! Have a lovely day all Smile

alliejay81 · 19/01/2020 09:26

Thanks @rhirhibumblebee good luck to you too!

rhirhibumblebee · 19/01/2020 08:25

@alliejay81 Good luck! My AF is looming and any day now but keen to get in the TWW again even though I hate it !

@loveandsparkles Good luck, I'm still tempted to get some but keep putting it off. I think I will order as soon as AF comes on Tuesday.

loveandsparkles · 18/01/2020 23:46

I bought some ovulation kits today currently on my period according to Ovia I'm fertile in 11 day's , congratulations to those who have been successful wishing luck to everyone else xx

alliejay81 · 18/01/2020 23:39

@charlesthekudu

I'm going to sound super thick here - sorry... what's the benefit of testing after peak? And why do you need to plot the LH dip?

I really need to do more research!

charlesthekudu · 18/01/2020 23:27

@alliejay81 I agree those clear blue digital OPKs are so easy to use! Frustratingly though once you hit peak you can't retest that cycle. So I ended up using internet cheapies every day along side the digital ones. Then I could test twice a day with internet cheapies and also track the dip of LH which I couldn't do with the digital.

alliejay81 · 18/01/2020 23:22

@hannah17381

I bought the digital clear blue ones - it took the subjectiveness out of it (I'd drive myself mad with water lines). Not convinced it will ever happen but you've got to be in it to win it! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Good luck!
