Quite upset as the smileys don't have their Santa hats on yet.

AF arrived 2 days ago so I will probably be testing around 21st December (cycles are about 24 days)

Anyone else???

@TunnocksTcake really interesting post on the pregnancy tests thanks for sharing!

Mystie · 18/12/2019 21:09

@TunnocksTcake she was the first person I told!! (After you guys of course 🤣) we are already planning a joint baby shower and comparing name choices, way too early to be contemplating either but it's so hard not too!!

TunnocksTcake · 18/12/2019 21:02

@Mystie I have literally this evening had one of my oldest friends tell me she is 8 weeks! Only been trying since October, some people are just lucky! If I weren't already pg I would be having a massive melt down. Can't wait to tell her when I have had an early scan! Have you told your friend yet?

TunnocksTcake · 18/12/2019 21:00

@BBLibra I just dug out this comparison chart that shows the sensitivity of tests- CB digis are right down the bottom and double a FRER

Anyone testing just before Christmas?
Ziggystarduck · 18/12/2019 20:36

Thanks @Mystie I was doing so well being positive this cycle, this just knocked me sideways

Mystie · 18/12/2019 20:33

@Ziggystarduck you are not alone! Anyone who has ever struggled to conceive knows that sinking feeling of hearing friends and family falling without even trying. 2 weeks ago I was in exactly the same position, my bestfriend who has a 9 month old baby and wasn't trying fell pregnant and I found it so hard to talk to her about it for the first few days. Now we are (hopefully) both pregnant and only 4 weeks between each other, so you never know what is going to happen. Y mum always tells me that everything happens for a reason

Ziggystarduck · 18/12/2019 20:25

@Mystie thank you, got all my fingers and toes crossed! 🤞
A really close friend just announced their pregnancy, and I had a full melt down, luckily I'm home alone. They only tried for one cycle.
How awful is that people we love have such amazing news, and we should be over the moon but it just kills us. Then the guilt hits for feeling like this.

Mystie · 18/12/2019 20:08

@Ziggystarduck I have had loads of lotion like Cm during the 2WW so could well be an early sign! Baby dust 💫

Ziggystarduck · 18/12/2019 19:25

It's so exciting to see how many BFP's there are in this group! So happy for you all 😘
I'm only 5/6 dpo but I've had AF type aching and cramps all afternoon. Is it too early for implantation cramping? I also way overslept and had some mad dreams 🤷‍♂️ lots of ccm today but I'm not really sure what my norm is that this point in the cycle.

AfterGlow87 · 18/12/2019 19:17

Thanks for being so lovely everyone! AF has arrived! Anyway wishing everyone a lovely Christmas and lots of luck next year :)

Spark27 · 18/12/2019 19:04

Wow, this is a lot of messages to come home to Grin
Congratulations on the positives, and fingers crossed for more.

@BBLibra tomorrow is a bit earlier and could be a waste, but if you want to go for it go for it. The way I see it is that if you get a bfn you'll have to buy more to keep testing, and if you get a BFP you'll still buy more to keep checking for a few days Grin

Wrt the cervix I had no idea. Never checked mine. Ever. Guessing its still there. Lol. But probably pretty low anyway after childbirth.

@AfterGlow87 I read somewhere that implantation usually happens between 6 and 12 days, so these pains could be it. And remember, we're all different. FX for you

AfterGlow87 · 18/12/2019 18:49

Yeah I’ve read that alright but isn’t 12dpo kind of late? I’ve cramping too so assume AF on the way! If by some miracle it’s not here in 2 days I’ll do a test

BBLibra · 18/12/2019 18:12

@AfterGlow87 I thought pink cm could be a sign of some implantation spotting? But I could be wrong, I’m very new to the whole TTC game!

AfterGlow87 · 18/12/2019 18:02

Pink cm on wiping, think I’m out this month! 3 days early which is so unusual for me but anyway - here’s to next year!

debbs77 · 18/12/2019 17:39

This is such a horrid waiting game! I'm due on Friday and have had negatives so far.

My belly aches, and my pubic bone is sore, so I'm fully expect my period soon.

BBLibra · 18/12/2019 17:38

@islaybrigid Haha no but that’s such a sweet idea! It’s because my starsign is Libra Smile Fx for you tomorrow if you decide to test! I probably will end up doing another...!

IslayBrigid · 18/12/2019 17:18

@BBLibra haha oh no I understand though, I'm thinking of doing tomorrow when I'm 10dpo. Quite torn. Also is your name that because you thought if you get pregnant this month it'll be a libra baby? Or just a coincidence? I was thinking it would be a virgo baby. I'm a virgo so I quite liked this idea haha

BBLibra · 18/12/2019 16:41

I’ve been silly and done a FRER this eve (9dpo) which is obviously BFN! Blush Am I crazy to plan on doing one in the morning? Also I know people say FRER are more sensitive than CB, but on the packaging it says they’re 76% sensitive whereas CB say 79%... Don’t know which ones to use! I have one left of both so want to make my decision wisely Grin

IslayBrigid · 18/12/2019 15:14

@TunnocksTcake you are very right which is why I haven't tested yet... I am sure that when I get pregnant (fx!) I will be one of those people who has a late implantation.... but it is so tempting to test because if it is a faint positive part of the waiting game is over. Though I get that it then becomes about wanting the line to get darker, waiting for blood test, waiting for scan, waiting for birth etc etc so I suppose this whole business is one big waiting game :) I'll see how I feel tomorrow. I might do it with an FRER or wait till Fri/Saturday...

AfterGlow87 · 18/12/2019 14:29

Hope it’s ok if I join in here! Congrats to all of the positives! Gives me such hope :) I’m about 12dpo today - period due 21st. Tested at 9dpo and got bfn so gonna wait it out. Feeling nauseas since yesterday and have a fair bit of CM and cramps but can’t remember if that’s normal for me or not :/ Driving myself mad!

TunnocksTcake · 18/12/2019 14:15

Congrats to those with Positives, fingers crossed they get darker and darker

TunnocksTcake · 18/12/2019 14:14

haha serving size?!! I would say 10DPO is still early. If you think average implantation is 8DPO and it take 24 - 48 hours for HCG to be detected on the most sensitive tests (which the FRERs are) then only if you are bang on average will you get a result on that day.
I would wait til 12DPO/ 2 days before period and only test early with an early result test like FRER. CBs and Internet cheapies arent sensitive enough.

chlo04 · 18/12/2019 14:14

@Peanutty86 what is a IC? How amazing though! I bet hour chuffed to bits!!!

Peanutty86 · 18/12/2019 12:52

@Ziggystarduck 😂😂😂😂😂 TASTY 😋

Ziggystarduck · 18/12/2019 12:27

Lol all this talk of frers being 2 for £5.99, I couldn't resist, just ordered some! But anyone else ever noticed the "serving size" ?!?! Who knew you could eat them 😂😂😂

Anyone testing just before Christmas?
