Anyone testing just before Christmas?

@Bbutterfly you might have only implanted on day 12, and then it takes a couple days for the hormone to show :) don't lose hope for this cycle yet! xx

Thank you everyone for the kind words and congratulations! It's so reassuring to hear you think it's positive too :) I still can't quite believe it. My sister is also in shock haha. Pretty amazing!

I'll test tomorrow to see if it's a bit darker. Will tell DP tonight when he's home from work. Luckily I am working from home today - would have found it so hard being in the office. I'm very happy but just gobsmacked :) :)

@Peanutty86 definite line there! FRERs are quite magical aren't they. How exciting!!!

@TunnocksTcake I think the slight wiggle in the line just looks like a bit of a design flaw. I highly doubt it would pick up on anything strange happening... it only picks up on the hormone and it's a dark colour so I think you can definitely relax and stay positive :)

@LizzieLottie88 I would wait till at least 10dpo or 11dpo... with FRERs it says that they are accurate for 96% of women 5 days before missed period. So that's five days from the day after your period is due. So today, 10 dpo, is 5 days before missed period for me. But I guess it also depends on how long your luteal phase usually is?

I've heard that it can take a few cycles for ones body to conceive after coming off the pill but I've also heard of people getting PG straight away. Like everything on this journey it seems a bit of a mystery! Everyone is so different. I haven't been on the pill for years and been temping for a year as contraception so maybe that did help, I'm not sure.

Also re CM, I found mine was drying up a bit yesterday so I thought oh, that might mean I'm out.... but clearly not. Shrug. It's all a gamble till that positive test comes. But now I know I am I am looking back on my symptoms and there were a few there but they were not strong so I could equally have been imagining them.

@HerondaleDucks I would wait if I were you, It will save your mental health haha! You will only think you've tested too early then keep testing as I have done.

I'm 14dpo tomorrow. I don't think I'm pregnant. I think my hormones are all over the show though.
Is it even worth testing if I don't think I'm pregnant or should i just wait for AF which is due on Saturday.

@Bbutterfly yes definitely still hope if you are using ICs, I was v shocked at how unsensitive they seem to be when they advertise otherwise. If you can get your hands on a FRER or Superdrug early I have heard are good too... Otherwise wait a couple of days and try again [Smile]

@TunnocksTcake I wouldn't worry about the broken line! I saw this on another post too congratulations. Loving all these positives! Maybe there's still hope for me if you tested from 12dpo I am 13dpo and still getting bfn. Xxx

Im now thinking even more that I'm out since I am 13dpo and bfn today  af due in 2 days time. @LizzieLottie88 I'm in the same boat as you, recently come off the pill and I'm already a maniac going nuts testing buying more googling stuff so I can really sympathise with the ladies who have been trying for a while. We will all get there what's meant for us won't pass us. Xxxx

I have posted a separate post about this but curious to what you guys think... these are all my frers (and today's ic - the first one I got any kind of line on!) one a day from 12dpo to 14dpo. Today's frer line is a bit broken/ incomplete... has anyone had this? It's freaking me out a little bit and that ic is soooo faint but reminding myself I am due period today so not even Late yet and the colour is good...

@IslayBrigid definite bfp! Wow can't believe how many have got bfps already! Let's hope the Christmas magic continues 🙏🏻 altho my bloat has gone and cm watery so I dunno. Its first month trying coming off the pill so trying to not get my hopes up and tell myself to enjoy Christmas if not, ds was conceived on 2nd month. I'm too impatient 😂 but have heard of lots of people falling in first month off pill so you never know! Not due on till boxing day tho so 7dpo 😩

I think the universe has just decided to step up the magic!! I'm 10 dpo and I couldn't wait so I just did a test with a FRER and fmu. I was telling myself not to be disappointed if it's negative. But I cant believe it! Its a bfp! It's a faint line but definitely visible and visible from about a minute in. Of course part of me wonders if it's a false positive (does that happen?) but omg I'm also just so gobsmacked and happy!

To make matters even crazier I texted my sister and she'd literally just bought a test (she's in Australia so different timezone) and she called me basically crying coz I had a bfp and we waited as her result came back and she is also pregnant!!! Faint too but there! I can't believe it.... 😱🤯🥰 It's just crazy....

I really hope the baby magic dust spreads to all of us this month... I will test again in a couple days to see if it's darker...I'll attach a pic. Can you guys see the line? Xx

@IslayBrigid it would be great if you go through it at the same time. Even if she's a few months ahead you'll be able to get lots of tips from her. Esp once babies are here.

I'm now doubting myself and telling myself that all my 'symptoms' are AF symptoms. Was so bloated last night, but that's feeling a bit better now. Really bunged up, but OH has been ill so expecting its just that, etc...
It's my last day in work today and then got OH Xmas do and away in a hotel so using that to take my mind off it. At least until I get home tomorrow x

ughh used a internet cheapie today and of course bfn again af not due untill 23rd so don't know what i was expecting lol. really going to try hold off until 21st/22nd...but now i have some spare tests have ordered some frer's that won't be here until 21st so hoping i can hold off.

AF is due around Christmas day as I have a short LP. I will try to hold out until Christmas eve... The wait is so hard.

Yeah it's so weird how easy it is for some people and hard for others and you really don't know till you start trying. But I agree with @Ziggystarduck so nice seeing so many bfps! I think mindset must come into it and it's nice to chat about it and good to try to think positive if poss. I had such anxiety last week but since I've had this flu thing I've been a lot more chill and I think I feel ok about what will be will be. I do hope it'll be a bfp but really have no idea! No cramping yet to indicate implantation but I read only 30% women get that anyway 🙈🤷‍♀️ we shall see...
I found out recently my big sister is trying too for her first baby so that is quite exciting we have been messaging. She's two days late but isn't going to test till Saturday when I do (I said I might cave and test earlier) so that's sweet. I now fully believe she is pregnant! But she's way more of a laid back sort of person than I haha.
