Quite upset as the smileys don't have their Santa hats on yet.

AF arrived 2 days ago so I will probably be testing around 21st December (cycles are about 24 days)

Anyone else???

Did any of you with BFP get BFN before? 11DPO and BFN on FRER

Peanutty86 · 23/12/2019 08:10

@xSLPx wohoooo congratulations!!! How exciting! (I thought the same re fertile window. I think I'm still in shock.)

Spark27 · 23/12/2019 08:10

Congratulations @xSLPx that's amazing news. I was the same with my first. Had no expectations and then, bamm, I was pregnant. So exciting.

Thanks @BoughsOfHolly. Fx for you too. I'm going the same thing. Gradually planting the seeds of trying to be healthier, secretly switching to decaf, etc x

xSLPx · 23/12/2019 07:54

Well this month is the first month I thought we'd missed my fertile window but I'm 13 DPO and got BFP this morning!! SmileI'm scared of getting excited incase it doesn't stick and still in shock!

BoughsOfHolly · 22/12/2019 23:18

@Spark27 @h19olly and others, of course, hope you get your BFPs!! And fingers crossed for everyone next month. I’m still in 2ww, 12DPO and probably going to test on Christmas Eve - expecting my period on Christmas Day. I don’t think I’ve had usual PMS symptoms this month - sore boobs about a week ago til now and they feel bigger, had back ache on and off, some cramping, slight nausea but nothing too much. Looking forward to knowing one way or another for Christmas although I’ll still take it steady on the alcohol even with a BFN as building the illusion that I’m going off it for health reasons...!

IslayBrigid · 22/12/2019 22:37

Sorry to all those out this month and fingers crossed next month is the one for you! Hope you can all enjoy the holiday season and feel refreshed for January. Fingers crossed for all those who haven't tested, really hope you get a bfp for Xmas 💖

Spark27 · 22/12/2019 21:36

*a vicious cycle (going to ignore all the other spelling mistakes I've made. It's been a long 24hrs Grin)

h19olly · 22/12/2019 21:35

@Spark27 I've been off the pill since Jan! use the glow @Spark27 I stopped the pill in January! Took a few months and my periods came back regular but over the past 2/3 months I’ve been 2-3 days late, early and even 2 weeks late. I use the glow app to track ov but just bought some ov strips to try track things a bit more.

Spark27 · 22/12/2019 21:26

Sorry to all the guys that our out this month. I really hope you get your BFP next month. Fx to all those still in.
According to my app my af is due Xmas eve, but it was 4 days early last month so who knows what will happen. But I've convinced myself that it's on its way and it's not going to be my month. Weirdly, since I've convinced myself of that the TWW has seemed to go quicker. Another thing that's spend it up is me having a cold and my OH having D&V for the last 24hrs. Shock

@h19olly how long have you been off the pill? Did you track ovulation? I get why you don't want to test if you're not sure of dates. It can set you on a vicious and be upsetting x

h19olly · 21/12/2019 14:51

Im etc my first. I'm 3 days past my period being due. My periods have been irregular since coming off the pill but I'm reluctant to test as I don't want to dampen my Christmas!

Haven't got any major symptoms apart from slight headache and a little cramping but not sure if that's just my expected period.
Anyone in the same position?

everpessimistic · 21/12/2019 14:02

@HerondaleDucks that was me last month. I had a weird 34 day cycle out of nowhere with confirmed ovulation day 16 and usually a 14 day luteal phase! I was getting so frustrated the further I got alone with still bfn

HerondaleDucks · 21/12/2019 10:26

15 dpo. No AF. So confused.

everpessimistic · 21/12/2019 08:50

Caved today at 10DPO and obviously BFN. This trying for a baby malarkey is hard emotionally. I used a early detection clear blue and have FRER in the cupboard which I’ll use on Christmas if AF hasnt shown. Felt so confident with my chart this month too

Anyone testing just before Christmas?
LizzieLottie88 · 21/12/2019 08:30

Thanks @Peanutty86 :)

Peanutty86 · 21/12/2019 07:25

I am so so sorry @LizzieLottie88. But you are right, make the most of christmas and indulge in all the good things!!

LizzieLottie88 · 21/12/2019 06:20

Af turned up out of the blue today, although exactly when my tracker predicted but I wasn't expecting it until next week as Im sure I ovulated late. Anyway, least I can drink over Christmas, off to buy alcohol, Blue cheese and pate! And positive is I can start trying sooner on the next cycle as its come round quicker than expected. X

IslayBrigid · 20/12/2019 22:28

Thank you so much for your replies @LizzieLottie88 and @Peanutty86. I got very panicked and started a new thread about it plus posted on the new BFP thread so feel a bit silly now. Sounds like I probably don't need to worry.
I feel so grateful for the Mumsnet community! So many people there to provide guidance and support :)

Peanutty86 · 20/12/2019 19:26

@IslayBrigid I think they say if iou haven't done yoga pre pregnancy you should wait until twelve weeks. But it wouldn't make you miscarry i don't think. Cramping is very very normal. I've been cramping and had twinges since Wednesday and they're getting stronger. I remember having really bad ones with ds1. I was amazed anything could survive in such an environment.

LizzieLottie88 · 20/12/2019 16:37

@IslayBrigid I highly doubt yoga would lead to a mc. It's normal to get twinges at this stage and as you say you many people carry on all sorts of exercise before they know. Also, they say if you're body is already used to doing it then it's fine to carry on. Only HIIT workouts that aren't advised as far as I know?

IslayBrigid · 20/12/2019 14:18

I'm really worrying as I just did a yoga class and afterwards I have felt some light cramping and twinges and I'm super worried it's going to make me miscarry. I feel really stupid as I should have looked it up before. I thought yoga would be fine but there are in fact different views about whether it's ok in early pregnancy. But then I also feel like if I hadn't tested early I wouldn't even know? So would have probably gone....
It wasn't too hardcore but it was ashtanga so lots of twists. I did take it a bit easy and didn't do any inversions.
Anyone have any experience of this or thoughts? :(

ceebee21 · 20/12/2019 12:16

@Peanutty86 Thank you, will see what happens - I normally have a shorter LP, so should hopefully know either way by the end of next week x

Peanutty86 · 20/12/2019 12:07

@ceebee21 just thought I'd mention it. I found temping quite confusing in the beginning. 🤞🏼 for you x

ceebee21 · 20/12/2019 11:25

@Peanutty86 could well be, I also done OPK's and had positive on CB and IC on Friday 13th, followed by negatives from Sunday onwards.

We will wait and see come next week I guess x

Peanutty86 · 20/12/2019 11:16

@ceebee21 I think you're actually only 3dpo and ovulated on CD17.

"Look out for 3 days in a row when your temperature is higher than all of the previous 6 days. The increase in temperature is very small, usually around 0.2C (0.4F). "

Spark27 · 20/12/2019 10:57

Got home and did a FRER at it was a bfn. Not really surprised. Not 100% sure on my cycle, but I would be very surprised if it happens this month. Means I can take some medicine though, so yay
