Quite upset as the smileys don't have their Santa hats on yet.

AF arrived 2 days ago so I will probably be testing around 21st December (cycles are about 24 days)

Anyone else???

Welcome all!! @EC22 we are in a similar situation, DTD last night (about 1am Tuesday morning) apparently due to ovulate on Saturday but my OPKs are getting darker (not as dark as control but darker all the less) so I'm hoping I ovulate sooner.

Had some pretty rough family news today so unlikely to DTD again this week- so just praying my uterus is a good enough environment to keep them going until then!!!!!

We are mental 🤣🤣🤣

Due to ovulate on Friday, DTD last night, husband away now though so slim chance this month but still hopeful.

Whyhaveidonethis · 03/12/2019 16:39

I'm due on 27th December so will be testing on 24/25th (if I can hold out that long). Holding out no hope whatsoever as its cycle 16, and 3 chemicals in that time. Love to join you though

xSLPx · 03/12/2019 13:43

@Goingbacktokansascity I'm due on the 25th Xmas Confused If AF doesn't arrive then I would like to wait a couple of days so I don't get disappointed over Christmas but I know what I'm like and I don't think I'll be able to wait.

coley17 · 03/12/2019 13:42

Hey girls, can I join in too! Cycle 6 and testing on 22nd..would be the perfect Xmas present but if not at least I can have a few wines on Xmas day 🙈 trying to give myself something to look forward too every month when I'm due AF... TWW are the worst!

Goingbacktokansascity · 03/12/2019 12:45

Hey want to join in! Due to ovulate probably 12th- 14th, on cycle day 8 currently and all my apps say AF due 24th 😣 might not test until after Christmas though if AF doesnt show up just because I don’t want to deal with the disappointment! Anyone else thinking of holding off testing to enjoy Christmas in optimism?

Ellsbells112 · 03/12/2019 11:58

@Mooey89 yes I recognise you also 😁 good luck to you too, Ttc is pretty crap x

Blondeandbroody · 03/12/2019 11:23

So I caved and tried a further way to know where I’m at in my cycle checking for CM, TTC can get so gross is what I’ve learnt so far haha!! I think I’ve just got sticky CM now which I believe is a sign I’ve ovulated? I had what I can only assume was EWCM a few days ago but didn’t actually test for it then, if you catch my drift (in my underwear, sorry TMI) I’m relieved to know that things are changing and I know that I am actually ovulating after being on the pill for so long. As I understand it I wouldn’t have any or it wouldn’t change if I wasn’t or hadn’t ovulated?! It has changed so that’s reassuring that this first cycle post contraception is a possible contender.

Now for the TWW, it’s excruciating at 1/2dpo! I literally keep looking at my calendar and counting days in the hope that in the last few hours the date I can test has gotten closer, time doesn’t quite work that way though unfortunately HA!

zinrepus · 03/12/2019 11:11

Heya joining in! DH and I are "casually" trying this month (no LH tests, just sensing with CM) cycle 1 for #1.

AF is due 17 December, but I'll be taking a few flights before Christmas, which has been known to delay my cycle by a week or so...needless to say I'll be quietly testing to try and figure out where we are, but also will be looking to postpone testing as long as possible. Joys.

xSLPx · 03/12/2019 11:09

Hi @TunnocksTcake & @NicoleR14, thanks for your replies. I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling with the tww. Sometimes I think I'm just being unrealistic in expecting it to happen so soon but on the other hand I want to stay positive and believe it will happen soon. Thanks for the tips I defo think I'll try and keep busy with plans and hobbies etc, I guess it's easier this month as Christmas prep is a pretty good distraction. Great excuse to over do the Christmas shopping Wink

Sounds like perfect timing @TunnocksTcake! Fingers crossed for you this month! Xx

Mooey89 · 03/12/2019 10:33

I think I recognise you from another thread @ellsbells112, good luck!
I’m not hopefully becUse it’s month 12 for us, but I know I definitely ovulated at least 🤞

Ellsbells112 · 03/12/2019 10:19

Hey everyone can I join! Ttc #2 cycle 4 here!

@Mooey89 we will know around the same time I'm due on the 16th! Let's hope the witch doesn't visit us!!

I'll be in Australia from the 11th so nice distraction but when I'm due af me and OH will be on a lovely island so I'll be fuming if it comes!! Urgh

NicoleR14 · 03/12/2019 09:15

@xSLPx I'm right there with you me and my husband are both 20 and ttc our first baby been trying since October i have so many questions but everyone on here is so nice and been there before and happy to help with anything you want to ask, I thought it would be easy but it's been the hardest 2 months and I've read there's women on here been trying for over 6 months to a year they are a lot stronger than me! The tww is terrible! I do a lot of sewing so for the full tww I try to keep as busy as possible cleaning or sewing or just now it's Christmas shopping lol if you think about it too much you stress yourself out and I've been told since the beginning the more you think about it the less likely you are to fall but it's impossible not to think about it my advice is find a hobby that really takes up all your attention! Good luck and I hope you get your positive on Christmas Day it would be such an amazing present!🤞🏼

TunnocksTcake · 03/12/2019 09:14

Hi @xSLPx I wish I knew the answer to your question... it is so so difficult, and I have certainly not mastered it yet and I am on my 6th cycle. The best thing to do is keep busy, stay off google and remind yourself that all symptoms in the 2ww will just be down to progesterone so are to be ignored. I try to make sure I have lots of things booked in for those 2 weeks, as well as something to look forward to when my period is due to take the sting out of it.
Good Luck!

I got my peak on CB digi this morning after a spontaneous (and VERY rare!) morning bd so that was excellent timing :D

xSLPx · 03/12/2019 08:11

Hi Ladies,

This is my fist post so sorry if it's a bit wordy! My husband and I started trying in September and I had it in my head that getting pregnant was going to be easy, if people can get pregnant by accident then how hard can it be?! Well we are three months in and frustratingly still not signs of pregnancy. I'm due to test on Christmas Day and my other half things it's lovely because it could be a great Christmas present but i'm worried that a negative result will bring down my Christmas mood.

I've been struggling with the two week waits as it's all I can think about. How do you all cope with the two week wait and what do you do to take you mind off it?

I'm so glad I've found this page because I don't really have that many people to talk to about this because I haven't told many people that we are TTC as I can't cope with the endless questions and raised eyebrows every time I decline a glass of wine!

xx

NotJust3SmallWords · 02/12/2019 19:23

Hi everyone! I'm CD9 and due to ovulate (apparently!) on 6 December, so I'll be testing on 20 December.

Good luck to you all! Smile

NicoleR14 · 02/12/2019 19:08

AF arrived 10 days ago will be testing 21st of December so fingers crossed and good luck everyone let's hope December is good to us 😊🤞🏼x

TwinkleStars15 · 02/12/2019 18:58

I’ll probably be testing Christmas Eve, depending on when I ovulate! Fingers crossed.

LosingtheTTCplot · 02/12/2019 18:54

I am due on Christmas Day so will be testing then unless I have some serious symptoms! Although I also don’t want to be grumpy on Christmas Day so may hold out until 27th.

Trying just B6 this month to delay ovulation by a few days as ovulating normally CD11 but last cycle was CD7/8 x

FirsttimeTTC · 02/12/2019 00:44

Hi ladies! not entirely sure that I’ll be joining you in testing towards the end of December as I had my coil out just over a week ago so not 100% sure on where I am in my cycle.. but if I am right, I will be ovulating on 6th dec and testing on 20th!

Baby dust to all Flowers

TunnocksTcake · 30/11/2019 10:31

@itssquidstella I think we should be ovulating around the same time!
I also thought about getting Angus cactus but it read too much about it and freaked myself out so didn't in the end! It's so hard to know what to believe. My cycles are actually quite regular so think it might do more harm than good.
I think it's most important to take from cd1 until ov and some people say to stop then, or you have to take it all through first trimester if you need the progesterone support because stopping suddenly can cause drop in progesterone which may make you mc.

iswhois · 30/11/2019 02:52

And welcome all!!!!! At least if we don't get the results we all want we can have a boozy Xmas!!!!

I'm gonna give the Luisa Zuissman (think that's correct spelling) vitamin recommendations a go this month. Her blog maybe baby is v interesting

AF has now finished so also going to start OPKs tomorrow to get a better idea of my cycles.

DH doesn't understand the concept of a fertile week, but if I try to explain too much I fear it will ruin our sex life!!!! SmileSmile

It’s hard for me to know for sure when my AF is due. I’ve been on the pill for years, came off it a week and a half ago when I started bleeding - I had semi regular periods whilst on the mini pill (so no breaks). If they were normally then Im due my next AF on 15th December! I’ve been using the Flo app for 3 months when we decided we would start trying at the end of the year so I’ve not got that much data to go off!

This will be my first so I’m very much in the naively hopeful stage!

ceebee21 · 29/11/2019 23:13

AF is due on 22nd for me, I'm thinking of taking a complex b vitamin, need to have a look x
