Quite upset as the smileys don't have their Santa hats on yet.

AF arrived 2 days ago so I will probably be testing around 21st December (cycles are about 24 days)

Anyone else???

I'm 6dpo now, not had any symptoms yet apart from mild stomach cranking through the week which is normal for me ... Hoping to see something soon 🤞 will test before Xmas and of bfn ill enjoy the festivities and start again properly in January :)

wa1ru5 · 14/12/2019 20:09

I'm due in 2 days, but just got a line on an opk! Hmm

Goingbacktokansascity · 14/12/2019 19:55

3 DPO and just want it to hurry up. A week until I start getting twitchy fingers and wanna pee on all the tests but I’m really going to try and hold off until Christmas atleast

Ziggystarduck · 13/12/2019 23:48

Hey @islaybrigid and @jessmary94 thanks for checking in 😘 actually not into the tww at all yet, looks like I'm ovulating a bit later than usual this month, probably tomorrow (sat) now judging by LH tests and temps. My hopes for a Christmas day test are slipping away, looks like AF is due 28th now. I can't wait for the pms to kick in right around the time I need to be super patient around difficult family over Christmas 🤦‍♂️
Welcome @Myworld90 fingers crossed for a Christmas bfp!
Anyone else throwing away the rule book over Christmas? I'm embracing all those times people have told me to "just relax and it will happen". And by relax, I'm assuming they mean drink all the wine 🤷‍♂️

Myworld90 · 13/12/2019 21:23

Hello everyone, hope it's ok to join! i am new to mumsnet. I am on cycle 1 ttc baby number 2. AF is due 22-25th dec (my cycles are a bit all over the place). I havent tried any kind of ovulation test or anything as of yet we have just DTD every 2-3 days throughout and hoping for the best! Xx

Jessmary94 · 13/12/2019 19:23

@IslayBrigid I hope your stomach has cleared up a bit today, I've had a busy day so not really had chance to think about I all which is a good thing!
How's everyone else getting on? I'm hating the tww, never realised how painful it was until we started TTC x

IslayBrigid · 12/12/2019 22:54

@jessmary94 I hear you! I haven't been too into the symptom spotting but I am wondering about the bloating and fatigue. I am also congested which I read is an early symptom. Haha maybe I have been symptom spotting. My main issue is this horrible churning stomach 😬 hopefully tomorrow it eases up. 😰

Jessmary94 · 12/12/2019 21:57

Hello & welcome!!
@IslayBrigid I get nervous and anxious all the time, and have found just keeping busy helps me the most. I need to keep myself busy and take my own advice cause it's all I'm thinking about and I'm symptom spotting like mad, pretty sure I imagine most of it though 😔 don't think I've ever been this excited for Christmas X

Kkd85 · 12/12/2019 20:53

Hi ladies hope it's ok to join in. Af due around the 23rd Dec so gonna test Xmas day or boxing day. Had a pul pregnancy start of April then had a MC at end of sept been ttc number 2 for just over 2 years now. Gynae has me on high dose folic acid and baby aspirin. She tested vit d as she said low vit d triples rate of miscarriage. My results were low so now on it also. So hoping I get a bfp soon. Good luck to all testing ❤️ xx

IslayBrigid · 12/12/2019 20:34

Hey all. How are you feeling?? We must all be into our TWW now?

I've been having the most horrible churning stomach ache the last couple days. It started yesterday when I was feeling a bit anxious about whether we have succeeded in conceiving and it's carried on today even though mentally I feel OK now. It's like my body is still full of anxiety and adrenaline even though my mind is not anxious anymore. It's horrible! I also worry if it continues it'll prevent implantation which if course just makes it worse as it is more worry.

I did some meditation, yoga and swimming and each time that helped a bit... distraction helps but it just comes back when I'm no longer distracted... it's weird.

I've also been very tired & hungry & bloated last couple days.

Anyone else had a similar experience with the anxiety tum? Recommendations for stuff that helps?

P.s. hope you all voted! xx

Ziggystarduck · 11/12/2019 15:05

@HerondaleDucks don't worry, some days are like being in an emotional washing machine spin cycle. It's exhausting. I honestly think the only way to cope is mega distraction. Being around people as much as possible, especially those that don't know you're ttc seems to really help for me.

HerondaleDucks · 11/12/2019 12:12

@ziggystarduck
That makes a lot of sense. That's for that info. I didn't know what it was as it was too early. Just been really thrown by it today.

Ziggystarduck · 11/12/2019 11:57

@HerondaleDucks 5dpo is too early for implantation to have occurred, so it's very unlikely to have symptoms.
However I've felt exactly like you many months since starting ttc, and what I've come to realise through a lot of googling and research, is that your uterus is going through changes for the whole month. Its never really static, or not doing anything. Once you've ovulated, its busy building up a nice thick lining that will either support a growing embryo or will become AF. That means it has increased blood blow to the area, and is expanding a little in size. When you are hyper aware of everything happening in your body, you can feel the mild cramps and pulling of this. Your fallopian tubes are also working really hard, wafting that egg down towards the uterous.
Your ladybits are hard grafters, they never get a break for the whole month. Take comfort from the feeling of them doing their thing, you're body is doing all it can and frankly what happens in there is mind blowing 💪

HerondaleDucks · 11/12/2019 11:44

I'm so confused; yesterday I was feeling a bit sick. And since last night I've been having a dull sort of cramp in my lower abdomen. It's carried on today and it feels hot if that makes sense.
It doesn't feel like a period but I don't know what it is. I'm only 5dpo so it's too early for signs right?

Jessmary94 · 10/12/2019 20:32

Ah ok thanks guys!! Could have ovulated earlier than thought as I'm just off the pill so everything is still a bit messed up but I'm sure I didn't 🤔 will just have to see in a week or so 🤞

TunnocksTcake · 10/12/2019 20:26

@Jessmary94 it could be ovulation bleeding... that can take a couple of days to reach the toilet paper. Good luck!

IslayBrigid · 10/12/2019 20:21

@Jessmary94 one thing I read today is that if pregnant the cervix stays soft kind of like texture of ones lips on ones mouth. So perhaps if you have been checking its position you accidentally made it bleed a little?? ... I mean this could still be a good sign as I think it's softer if you've conceived! 🙃🙃 Just a thought!

Also welcome back @ceebee21, sending you lots of luck for approaching ovulation!

IslayBrigid · 10/12/2019 20:16

@Jessmary94 I don't think it's possible to get implantation after 2 days but maybe you are setting a record, who knows! The earliest recorded as far as I'm aware is 6 days but even that is very rare. It's more likely 9/10 days at least. I guess you could do a test to be sure, in a couple days!

I should probably get a test or two to have up my sleeve. What are the "IC" tests you speak of @Ziggystarduck ? Are these the cheap ones? A friend told me to use clear blue but Ive heard first response also good.

Interesting, thanks for the Intel on your CM @TunnocksTcake! I have white creamy CM today but not very much of it, so who knows if that's a good sign 🤷‍♀️ sounds like it could be but I'm only 1dpo.

All very exciting and I really hope we all get good results for Xmas ... Imagine that Christmas miracle! @debbs77 I'm not going to be able to wait till Christmas haha I think I'll test 10dpo.
Welcome @BoughsOfHolly. Sounds like you have it covered!

It is super nice having this thread as I haven't told many of my friends or anyone in my family about TTC but it's on my mind constantly so really nice to be able to chat to you all :) x

debbs77 · 10/12/2019 19:27

What a waiting game this is!!!

Ideally I want yo test on christmas day to surprise my partner, though I'm due on the 20th.

However last month my cycle was 25 days so in theory I could test on the 17th. Not sure how to NOT test until christmas day!

BoughsOfHolly · 10/12/2019 18:36

Hi can I join? I’ve only just joined this site and looking forward to learning from you all.
Decided last month that we would start trying for baby #1, although didn’t track anything so we missed the window. This month I have used the Flo app and also taken OPKs. I used the CB advanced digital. I’m ovulating today on CD15 and we DTD on CDs 11, 12 and 14 - hoping that’s enough as my OH is feeling quite stressed in between jobs at the mo. I think my period is due on Christmas Day and I would love to have a positive test to give my OH in his stocking Xmas Smile

Jessmary94 · 10/12/2019 18:34

Quick question guys, can you get implantation bleeding 2dpo? I'm pretty sure I ovulated on Sunday, low cervix on Saturday, high Sunday morning when I got up into Monday and low again Monday afternoon. Had some very very light spotting tonight, brownish colour. Could this be possible or wishful thinking? Tia x

TunnocksTcake · 10/12/2019 17:47

Thanks for the love ladies
@Ziggystarduck I have had the same thought too... I try not to test too early because I'm so afraid of chemicals so it's possible!
@IslayBrigid I have had a mixture of EWCM yesterday and today there was loads of white creamy CM, quite wet iykwim
You are doing so well to be positive! I am generally pretty laid back about the whole thing but the 2ww and progesterone symptoms just drive me insane!
I don't really test early, I've seen lots of people get BFPS on 8/9dpo then realise they've had a chemical which is so much worse than not knowing! I don't think you're likely to get a realistic positive until 10dpo earliest

Ziggystarduck · 10/12/2019 17:31

@TunnocksTcake so sorry to hear of your MC, it just have been very hard, I can't even imagine.
Sometimes I wonder if the cycles where I have been 99% sure, if perhaps I had been pregnant for a very very short time. I've always been so in tune with my body, I knew I had a cyst on my ovary well before it was diagnosed, and even after the first surgery where the surgeon said there was no cyst there to remove, I knew he was wrong. A year later and a better surgeon, and there it was, the fecker. But then again maybe I just tell myself that as a sort of comfort that I can get pregnant, even if it's not lasting.
@IslayBrigid (not sure why it's not letting me tag you) thanks for the positivity 👍 I really underestimated how much help groups like this would be. It's so isolating this ttc business, it feels amazing to have a commutiy out there. Even if it is hard to see other people's bfps.
Oh I have tested to the point of insanity. When you've got a drawer full of IC you will literally pee on one of those at the drop of a hat. I have gotten to the point some cycles where I'm so used to doing them, that I pee on the thing and then forget to even check it! I've bought frers a couple of times when I've been so certain it would be a positive, and that the ICs were giving false negatives. And then been angry at myself for wasting the money. Also the idea of handing over a tiny bit of peed on card to DH to announce the bfp isn't very appealing 😂
This cycle I've only got one or two ic and a frer in the drawer, purposely to stop me from going pee crazy. I'll have family staying with me and the shops will be shut so hopefully the insane tww version of me will be able to take my mind off of peeing on things!

ceebee21 · 10/12/2019 17:28

Hi All, haven't posted on here in a week or so - I think I am due to OV tomorrow, with AF due on 22nd December - only have an 11 day LP.

Fingers crossed that we all get an amazing Christmas present.

How is everyone doing xx
