Cycles after coming off the pill - tell me your story..............

Right, I'm CD31 of first cycle after coming off the pill. When I was on the pill I would have my period on CD29 (well, no period CD28 and then next day back at CD1). I expected some differences after coming off the pill but didn't know quite what to expect as before I had ds, I fell pg straight after coming off the pill (didn't work out though).

I won't go into it in length on this thread (moaned already in the caravan ) but basically, I'm at risk of very early menopause, even though I'm only 31. My mum thought she was pg at 29 due to having no period but the Dr did test and she was starting menopause. I'm worried that because I've not got my period yet, it could mean problems for me but I also know this is normal with some people after the pill.

I know a lot of you have come off the pill and either had no period for few months or had several funny cycles. I'm just trying to get an idea of what goes on with different people post pill.

So, tell me what happened to you so I get a wider picture

no-those tests would test pos if you were, IMO. you are only a few days past your pill period, arent you? it takes time to settle.

maybe re test tomorrow morning?

Don't know if this helps you, mine were the other way around, I always had 29-30 day cycle before pill, when coming off I went down to a 26 day cycle (took 3mths to conceive) I did have lots of strange aches and pains in the first month and was convinced that I'd got pregnant straight away but apparently this often happens when you first come off the pill and it soon settled down.

Cheers.

I have used my very very cheap early testing kits and yesterday was still neg (these tests cost £2.76 incl. postage for 10 tests - should I be worried about how reliable?)

I've had the feeling of a period coming for a couple of weeks, got stronger end of last week and today seem ok so not sure if coming yet?

Do you think I should buy a proper brand test?

Sorry, forgot to mention the main part of what I want to know.........if you didn't have a period or had a very long cycle, did you still feel period pains/dull ache around the time you would normally expect your period?
