So we’ve been trying over 3 years with not so much as a late period. Clomid didn’t work and we’re just having a break from it all before next steps. I’m 40.

On day 28 cycle I got some red spotting mostly when I wiped. Since then brown discharge only, now on day 33. No other symptoms so wasn’t getting hopes up but had some pregnancy tests in so today decided to poas.

First one tesco - line came up pretty soon but was faint/not very blue and I read that tesco tests are notorious for evap lines.
DP thought no.

Just done a Numark pharmacy one, round window is supposed to be a cross if positive,
Just a horizontal line of negative.
I can see a cross, can you?

Lol at chamomile tea! The first sign for all my pregnancies has been needing to wee more often. Those lines are clear as day and they say positive... I'm so pleased for you. You sound ace and very deserving. Flowers

Definitely see it on the second pic. Congratulations Thanks

MissMarpletheMurderer · 23/11/2019 14:23

I can't believe how excited I was to see the third picture, that is def a positive. It physically not possible to wait a week, I think it is loads of will power to wait until tomorrow. Keeps us updated.

Neolara · 23/11/2019 14:23

Congratulations.

Bsmirched · 23/11/2019 14:21

Honestly those lines really aren't that faint at all. No squinting needed!

Wishforsnow · 23/11/2019 14:21

You are def pregnant and its not even a faint line! Congratulations!!

WWlOOlWW · 23/11/2019 14:16

I have shit eyes and even i can see the lines in them all.

Congratulations!

AliasGrape · 23/11/2019 14:11

Thank you all.

I’m struggling to believe it even still. I think I’d just accepted it wasn’t ever going to happen (serious trying for 3 years, ‘see what happens’ for 4) and although we get 1 nhs attempt at ivf the odds at my age are so slight I’d just decided it wasn’t happening and I’d best get on with life. I’ve been eating what I want, drinking (big glass of red last night actually) and everything. I had kept up with the folic acid though luckily. And I’m not lying that in the last month I think we had sex once!

I won’t count my chickens but honestly just that I’m capable of getting even to this point has made my life.

I wonder if this is why I’ve been peeing at least twice as much as normal recently, I thought it was because I’d switched to camomile tea Grin

That's not a faint line! You're pregnant, lovely lady. Just be mindful with the digital ones that they won't show as positive as early. You could use a FRER instead. But all these tests so far are positive. I'm thrilled for you Thanks

CmdrCressidaDuck · 23/11/2019 13:32

You are most definitely pregnant. Congratulations!

Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for you.

sarahc336 · 23/11/2019 13:30

Just be mindful the digi ones need a lot more hcg to show as positive so maybe leave that one a few more days but the others are defo positive congratulations xx

AliasGrape · 23/11/2019 13:28

I’m going to wait till tomorrow for the digital as a compromise with DP who wanted to leave it a bit longer (I think he’s trying to manage expectations/stop me being disappointed having seen me pretty low a few times).

In the meantime however, I had a root in the cupboard and found a boots one - pink dye this time. 2 lines = pregnant and there’s definitely 2, though again 1 is very faint.

I got a positive opk exactly 2 weeks ago so could only be 2 weeks pregnant if so (I know we were having a break but I wanted to see if I would still be ovulating without Clomid), we had had sex the day before though, but that was pretty much the only attempt all cycle.
Do the faint lines look right for about 2 weeks? Or should they be darker?

SORRY! I’m obsessing. I know the sensible thing to do is to wait a week and try again, but I feel like if I do that I’m bound to come on in the meantime and I just want to enjoy the possibility whilst it’s there. Even if it doesn’t ‘stick’ the idea I could even conceive in the first place feels like a miracle right now.

We’re getting married in 4 weeks, talk about timing Grin
