CD58, losing hope

I've been off contraception since January, with fairly regular cycles of 33-35 days but no obvious sign of ovulation. I take my BBT and track CM but as yet I'd say I haven't ovulated. I have endometriosis too but this is low level and gynecology have discharged me from their care last year.

Last month, my GP offered to do a CD21 test on CD26 which came back negative (as expected) and... Then, nothing. My period has completely disappeared. I'm currently on CD58. No temp spiked/CM changes, but extra symptoms - nausea, cramps, exhaustion etc. I've been told to do a pregnancy test every week until AF arrives, then book in for a second CD21 to give it another go.

I'm so frustrated, after nearly a year of TTC to have felt like I took a step forward and now have taken a giant step back. It's so hard having spent most my life practically being told even thinking about unprotected sex would result in pregnancy to now be trying for nearly a year with my DH and to be getting nowhere. We're both early 30s so age isn't a factor but is a consideration for us to have 2. I just needed to have a vent as my mum is on full "when will I be a grandma?" mode and I don't feel like I have anyone to whine at!

Anyone else want to join in my little pity party?

@PlanBea did AF arrive for you? I'm cd60 today 🙄

Mycrazylife85 · 20/11/2019 15:39

@Rkay2 thank you for your encouraging story. Lovely news. Congratulations

Hi. I just wanted to say that I was exactly like this. I needed clomid to help ovulate and after 3 cycles and 5 months got pregnant with my little boy who is now 21 months old.

If your not ovulating hopefully some meds will
Help you!

Mycrazylife85 · 20/11/2019 15:16

@PlanBea thank you. It's knocked me and whilst I am better than I was the weekend (whilst trying to retain some self respect and dignity) it's on my mind, but it'll be fine. Dreading Christmas though having the family round asking me why we haven't yet or don't we 'fancy it?' and 'time is ticking'. I've asked my husbands to take over answering those questions.

I know- it's ridiculous the wait. It's an appointment to 'discuss the results' and that was the soonest they could do it. Over three weeks from when I booked it

@Mycrazylife85 4th December is ages for blood results! My CD21 was done on a Friday and I had the results Monday afternoon. How can it take so long?! Take a little time for self care following your family announcement. It's so hard, as you are so happy for them but it reminds you of your own struggle.

I get the results on 4th December. Flipping wait. If AF hasn't arrived I'll be in day 70 territory. My friends are all on their 2nd/3/4th. The announcement was a family member who is 9 years my junior 😞 damn ovaries

Mycrazylife85 · 20/11/2019 07:42

@PlanBea I thought so! I just couldn't find the thread. It's pretty rubbish isn't it? Ugh... good luck! Fingers crossed your af arrives so you can get your actual 21 day bloods. Reckon I'll need to rebook mine. They told me they like to do it on day 21 and asked what day I'm on, the answer was simply, day 51. 😒 good luck!

Hi this is just some friendly advice for some reading up..

When i came off the pill I didn't have an af and 5 months passed and I was desperate, I read about Agnus Castus and started taking it and it may be coincidently 6 weeks later I got a bfp.

I'm not saying go out buy it now but deffo have a read up on it as it may help you

Hi @emojisarentwords, sorry to hear you're in the same boat. Nothing tests patience like TTC. Is your GP any good and worth a visit? They may be able to help. I have s great relationship with mine, but I'm moving next year to out of the catchment area. I'm hoping AF turns up in time for me to try the test again and get the precious referral before I have to switch!

Hi @Mycrazylife85, we'd talked on a previous thread a few weeks ago. Sorry to hear AF has still disappeared for you. When do you get your blood results back?

Is it a closer family member? A friend from our friend group announced their second is on the way, it's hard hearing our friends talk excitedly about it. One day it will be our turn. Flowers

Day 84 here, completely understand your frustration. This is my longest ever cycle, have been trying to get pregnant for years and the irregular cycles just seem to be getting worse. To make matters worse the baby bombs keep dropping from family and friends alike, I'm just sat here thinking when will this ever be me!

Mycrazylife85 · 19/11/2019 22:37

Me! @PlanBea

I'll join. Currently day 54. Came off the pill in January, waited 74 days for my first period. Then 54, 40, 40, 38.. the last period was odd in that I had a lot of dark old blood discharge for around 4 days then my period which I counted from the pink blood. (Sorry)

I was diagnosed with pcos at 16, I'm 34 now. Because my last scan in 2015 showed no cysts they are wanting to do tests again so had bloods done Friday on cd51 (not 21🤦🏻‍♀️)

Used OPK for a few months and, aware you can get false positives if you have pcos, I did always get a positive then period 12 days later. Apart from this cycle. We dtd on the day of my positive OPK and I was sure that may have been it- I was pregnant. What a laugh. Stark white negative 🙁 family member announced early pregnancy to us this week, she would have had her last period around the same time as me... she's late as she'd pregnant.. My body is just broken..
