CD58, losing hope

I've been off contraception since January, with fairly regular cycles of 33-35 days but no obvious sign of ovulation. I take my BBT and track CM but as yet I'd say I haven't ovulated. I have endometriosis too but this is low level and gynecology have discharged me from their care last year.

Last month, my GP offered to do a CD21 test on CD26 which came back negative (as expected) and... Then, nothing. My period has completely disappeared. I'm currently on CD58. No temp spiked/CM changes, but extra symptoms - nausea, cramps, exhaustion etc. I've been told to do a pregnancy test every week until AF arrives, then book in for a second CD21 to give it another go.

I'm so frustrated, after nearly a year of TTC to have felt like I took a step forward and now have taken a giant step back. It's so hard having spent most my life practically being told even thinking about unprotected sex would result in pregnancy to now be trying for nearly a year with my DH and to be getting nowhere. We're both early 30s so age isn't a factor but is a consideration for us to have 2. I just needed to have a vent as my mum is on full "when will I be a grandma?" mode and I don't feel like I have anyone to whine at!

Anyone else want to join in my little pity party?

Cd73 for me. Been looking into Agnus Castus now. Such conflicting information I've just decided to leave it (for now) 😏

Mycrazylife85 · 04/12/2019 22:32

Hello @PlanBea thank you. Doctor referred me for a scan as I have to have it again before they can diagnose pcos (again). She talked a lot about making sure I'm 'chilling out', 'having regular sex', 'testing once a month'. Not much emphasis was given to my lack of periods, didn't appear to come across if anything of concern ☹️ and lots of emphasis on me wanting to get pregnant. In reality the lack of periods is my biggest issue at the moment. I fibbed a bit about the amount of times we have sex. In reality it's 1/2 times a week, maybe a week of nothing then back again. I may have said 2/3. In reality I've felt a bit pants recently but there was so much emphasis on getting pregnant and not my missing periods...

She was pregnant herself.. 😞

My testosterone came back fine but my LH and FSH showed one was just over double the other... whichever that's was. Apparently that in itself indicates potentially pcos, 🤷‍♀️

I've got to get bloods done whenever my period arrives day 1-5. Then come back in January at the 12 month mark...

CD71 tomorrow..

I'm wondering if I can do anything to help me along naturally..
thank you again for asking

PlanBea · 04/12/2019 22:08

@Mycrazylife85 how did it go? Fingers crossed for you x

Tomorrow is the day.

Post results appointment tomorrow. I'm excited and nervous.

Cd70 tomorrow. I have every reason to believe they'll tell me everything is fine but with it being cd70 I think I can justify saying that it's not. I'm annoyed at the prospect of having to try and get a re-diagnosis of PCOS as my last scan showed no cysts (2017 and on the pill) and it was 18 years ago I was diagnosed (aged16), so they appear to want to start again. We will see what they have to say. I really really hope for someone to help me

Mycrazylife85 · 02/12/2019 21:51

That's great news @PlanBea - a Christmas miracle indeed, you're not wrong there 😂 cd68 for me... two days till my doctors appointment. Thank goodness!!!

Sarah5678 · 02/12/2019 21:39

Hey!
Nope no AF yet. However, I randomly started doing some opks and I got a very strong positive yesterday so I am hoping I have finally ovulated! Even if this is not my month...at least AF should be here in the next 2 weeks ready to start again. By that time my cycle will have been 90 days! X

PlanBea · 02/12/2019 21:33

How are you doing today @Sarah5678? Any sign of AF yet?

OP posts:
PlanBea · 02/12/2019 21:32

Hi @Mycrazylife85, my GPs is open on the right day and has a nurse appointment available - a Christmas miracle! I'm hoping my MMR vaccine in the middle of what should be my follicular phase doesn't send my period off scared again.

How are you getting on today?

OP posts:
Mycrazylife85 · 30/11/2019 13:17

Fingers crossed for you @PlanBea, if not could you arrange to pick up the blood slip and go to the walk in at your local hospital?

PlanBea · 29/11/2019 17:08

Hi @Mycrazylife85 so sorry for your rollercoaster day. I don't know whether the two minutes of joy at least makes the negative ok. Give them a right grumpy email!

I've finally had AF today, which means my CD21 test falls on... Christmas Eve. Need to see if my GP is open or not, or whether it'll be another month (or 69 days...) wasted if I can't get a blood test that day!

OP posts:
Mycrazylife85 · 29/11/2019 09:02

I've noticed the OPK was put in the pregnancy test packet... I'll be sending them a right snottogram later... look... how bad is this? Phah.. still for some off reason, I needed that pick me up

I found two tests in the internet cheapie. I think the one is faulty as the other didn't come up either. Well, for those two seconds it was wonderful thinking I was. I'm gutted, but grateful for that tiny moment

Mycrazylife85 · 29/11/2019 08:48

This morning I did a OPK. I almost didn't. My urine was strong so I thought I shouldn't but did. The second line came up quickly.

But in my sleepy state I did a pregnancy test. An internet cheapy. A second line came up immediately.

I got the emergency FRER out. Nothing..

What's going on.... false positive? The FRER is so much more sensitive surely that's the best one

@PlanBea blimey. That's good you've found out, I didn't know that though. To be honest I wouldn't consider we are 'trying' anymore. This long cycle has completely thrown me and we've hardly dtd. I have felt so low. Not helped by the dark days. I literally feel nothing. It's the only way to deceive it. My hormones are dead.

@Sarah5678 I think that'll be me next week. Are you booked in for a scan? They've told me my results are normal but I've got an appointment next week to discuss. Also got my cervical screening- no end of excitement that day!

I have had some sharp lower stomach pains recently. It's right in the middle. I always panic it's the start of an UTI as I suffered with them terribly when I was younger (10 years plus ago). I suspect it is related to PCOS or IBS though, but it can be quite sore but once or twice every few days. It panics me. I'm done also

Sarah5678 · 28/11/2019 13:46

Hey @PlanBea

Phoned the gp and they said all my blood results are within normal ranges and require no action! Suppose that's good but will have to wait for ultrasound now to see if I get an answers then! Now on cd73 and reallyyy getting sick!

PlanBea · 28/11/2019 12:00

@Mycrazylife85 yeah, I can't really recall pre-contraception but this has been the longest in the almost year I've been off. I'd class today as heavy spotting but still no red blood so hopefully this afternoon/tomorrow. How are you?

I found out yesterday I'd only had one MMR vaccine, and advice is to have two. I've had all my others so I'm guessing the advice for a second one came in after I was born. So I've booked in for that next week. As it's a live vaccine, the doctor recommends not TTC for 28 days after so I'm hoping this next cycle is normal and we can get back to it in January's cycle. It feels wasteful throwing a chance away but at least then I won't need to worry about it. And it feels like getting all my ducks in a row!

Hope you're doing ok today @Sarah5678?

OP posts:
Mycrazylife85 · 27/11/2019 11:50

@PlanBea that's true regarding the results. Hopefully they'll be prepared next week but I'm feeling proactive and will be a little insistent. Fingers crossed AF arrives for you. That is a long time! Is this the longest they've been for you?

I haven't had any contact with her as yet. I'm waiting for their first scan in a few weeks and my mother in law to be told (feel I need to get that out the way then Christmas with all the questions from my husbands brother who will be the new grandad). My husband told me last night that they admitted it happened so quickly it was a real surprise for them. ☹️ selfishly for me. How awful does that make me that I think of myself.

@Sarah5678 I'm keen to know also. Good luck!

Sarah5678 · 27/11/2019 11:30

Got them done on Monday, going to ring them tomorrow! Will let yous know :) xx

PlanBea · 27/11/2019 11:21

@Sarah5678 have you had your bloods? When do you get the results?

OP posts:
PlanBea · 27/11/2019 11:20

@Mycrazylife85 whilst it's rubbish there's not an obvious answer (and therefore a solution), at least you've got a few problems ticked off the list? I hope that the insistence on a GP appointment next week means they are planning on being proactive.

Have you had much to do with your cousin since her announcement?

I'm now CD66. I've had some brown spotting yesterday so I'm hoping AF arrives today or tomorrow and I can then ride the wave of hope that a new cycle brings. Right now it just feels like it won't happen.

OP posts:
Mycrazylife85 · 27/11/2019 10:23

I just rang the doctors to see if they checked my thyroid and she told me that was fine and it appeared every other test came back normal too. I feel disappointed really there is no obvious reason for this that can be sorted. Currently CD63.

I won't be pregnant. My sex drive has disappeared and I feel just down.

I guess I’ll have to hope they refer me next week for a scan to see if anything comes up then, if that’s normal that’s pretty much it I guess. Then it's just hope

MrsCl19 · 25/11/2019 06:25

@Sarah5678

In 2017 I took 400mg in morning and a night.

I came off the pill and have tried it and so far it hasn't helped me this time 😢 I was convinced that it helped me regulate last time but not so sure now..

Going to keep going and hope for af of a bfp 🤞🏼

Mycrazylife85 · 24/11/2019 22:46

@PlanBea sounds promising for you. Fingers crossed. I'm just mega bloated and uncomfortable. My IBS is playing me up too (probably linked) and I feel about two stone heavier. I've got 10 days until the doctors and part of me would prefer it if AF doesn't arrive until then. Going to buy a pair of stretchy stomach pinchers to get in my dress for my husbands works party Saturday 😂

@Sarah5678 that's awful for you. your doctors sound very good and pro active too which is good. Fingers crossed for you also. Mine are SLOW! Had blood test a week ago Friday gone, my appointment to discuss is in 10 days.

PlanBea · 24/11/2019 21:54

CD62 for me! Lots of symptoms (my boobs are killing me today Shock) so fingers crossed something soon. How are you doing?

Hi @Sarah5678 sorry to hear about your chemical. Hopefully AF comes soon and you are on a lucky cycle next time Flowers

Sarah5678 · 24/11/2019 21:03

Hi everyone!
I am in the same boat...had my last depot in june 2018.
First ovulation and period in august 2019 which I fell pregnant but resulted in a chemical. My cycle after that was 41 days. Now on the next cycle and on cd69. Safe to say I am demented.

Went to GP on friday and getting lots of bloods taken tomorrow to check hormone levels etc and he has also booked me in for a ultrasound to see if it could be PCOS or anything else. Sucks to be us doesn't it?!

For anyone who has tried agnus castus what dose did yous use please?
