So AF is in full flow 😔 come on yesterday exactly as app predicted, the app has been pretty spot on. On the plus side OH may not be away for whole fertile window in December so I’m trying to work out when to schedule in DTD, very sexy 😂. Might be able to DTD CD14 & CD17, app predicts ovulation on CD18 but it’s based on a 32 day cycle as MC in October put things back a few days. When I conceived in Oct my predicted ov day by app was CD16, we DTD CD15,17 & 18 so if I manage to DTD on days 14 & 17 I might just might be covered, worth 1 last shot before Christmas. I ovulated on CD18 this month & only DTD on CD16. Reluctant to get ovulation sticks this month as really don’t want to see that smiley face mocking me if I get it while he’s away. Anyone else had any BFPs or symptoms they can cheer me up with

nt1992 · 23/11/2019 11:45

@Louu99 I'm with you! I'm going to DTD on and around ovulation then sit back and relax for the festives & hope for no AF 😂

Louu99 · 23/11/2019 11:44

@PrettyGirl5545 @nt1992 hola ladies! I'm supposedly ovulating around the 30th-2nd, it varies on the different apps! I might do an ovulation test a few days before, the day of the 30th/1st and then leave it. I'm thinking December for us all should be nice and relaxed! No peeing obsessively on sticks, just enjoying the festivities and copious amounts of sex 😂

What do you think ladies?! X

MrsC89 · 23/11/2019 10:18

Did a FRER this morning, another faint line. DH now agrees I am crazy! I just cant stop myself POAS when they are in the drawer just taunting me!
Anyway off to the local christmas shop today Grin

nt1992 · 23/11/2019 09:27

@PrettyGirl5545 app says I'll ovulate around 30th, took a strip yday very faint so not ovulating yet obvs! Got my friend staying tonight so won't be able to DTD but hopefully tomorrow and then continue each day until ovulation is past😂

Diamond94 · 23/11/2019 09:22

Hi everyone 👋🏼
I have just recently joined Mumsnet, i am 25 ttc baby number 1! I came off cerazzete 4 weeks ago but still no AF or withdrawal bleed 😔.. im already driving myself crazy symptom spotting! Hope you all get BFP soon 🤞🏼

mellymoo86 · 23/11/2019 08:10

@FeckaDecka that makes sense...I was thinking for December I'll not do ovulation sticks and just dtd every other day between cycle day 7 - 21. That'll cover the fertile window and be more than enough. I know when I ovulate so there's no point peeing on sticks and going mad again.

PrettyGirl5545 · 23/11/2019 02:56

Hello guys. I found that i actually ovulated yestrday. And also dtd yayyy. Now today I'll hopefully be on day one past ovulation. @Louu99 @nt1992 when are you expecting ovulation?? Join me ladies again in this stressing 2ww.

I wish there was sommmmething to check if my egg has met my man's sperm or not.

Mrsmummy90 · 23/11/2019 00:18

Hi! Can I join?

Testing on the 27th but have already snapped and taken 4 tests! Blush trying to sit on my hands (and bank card)

FeckaDecka · 22/11/2019 22:56

@mellymoo86 ah OK early days then😊FWIW I read somewhere once that a reason it takes time is that you have to psychologically trick your body into getting ready for a baby mode. The more often you actually dtd the more your body thinks ah OK baby time! So don't just dtd around ovulation 😉 hope this helps xx

mellymoo86 · 22/11/2019 22:00

@Mangaroo haha thank you... 😛

mellymoo86 · 22/11/2019 22:00

@CiaraJ01 mmmmm I want cheese now. I'm on my third glass of wine now 😄

Yeah I just want a peace of mind really and we will keep trying alongside it. Enjoy the market tomorrow, hope you have a fab time 😊

CiaraJ01 · 22/11/2019 21:56

Preach ladies!! I was so laid back all month til AF was late and I was climbing the walls! It all gets so much...
So me and OH are going to the xmas markets in York tomorrow cause hes got the whole day off for the first Saturday in months! So I will also be eating the soft cheese and drinking @Skygirl1983

@mellymoo86 glad you managed to get progress with the GPs. Even if it's just reassurance it's all working as it should rather than looking into the other options just yet 💕

Mangaroo · 22/11/2019 21:54

@mellymoo86 You look very cool! ;-)

mellymoo86 · 22/11/2019 21:20

I know you lot don't know what I look like, this is what my caricature looks like 😂😂 I look creepy!

mellymoo86 · 22/11/2019 21:16

@FeckaDecka just two months...that's how patient I am lol.

mellymoo86 · 22/11/2019 21:16

@Skygirl1983 Aww you poor thing. I think today was much needed for you.

Who would have thought this journey of ttc was this much of a rollercoaster eh? I remember my friend telling me a few months back but don't think it's actually hit me properly. I know it's easy to put pressure on yourself (I do this with all aspects of my life) but you need down time so make sure you switch off when you can, whether it's through drink, food, a bath, a good cry...anything.

Everything will take its course. Til that time comes try to be healthy (mentally too), fit, happy, and positive. 🤗🤗 We're all here for a reason, whether it's just for a few months or for a few years xxx

MrsC89 · 22/11/2019 20:47

@Skygirl1983 I hope you are enjoying the wine! You 100% deserve to enjoy yourself and let go.
Well done for starting this group, you ladies rock!

Skygirl1983 · 22/11/2019 20:23

@Mangaroo believe me when I say this wine is going down well. It feels good to let go a bit. And I'm glad I have created this little group. You ladies are an amazing support!!

And I agree, no one should be judged on their choices. This group is a tiny part of someone's journey. We dont know the full story. Everyone's journey is different and I hope we can support that.

I don't think it's helpful to judge each other for how we approach difficulties around conceiving. And I think it should be everyone's human right to have children, and we all know this is not a fair game unfortunately.

Mangaroo · 22/11/2019 20:13

@Skygirl1983 "I hope it will still happen. And I'm sure it will. But I also cant let it consume my everything!!"
This should be the motto of this group! Glad you have found an outlet for the frustration and emotions, enjoy the wine and have a relaxing evening! Xx

PS: you have good karma on you for having brought this group together! ;-)

Skygirl1983 · 22/11/2019 19:45

@mellymoo86 I'm glad that they are doing a bit of digging. It'll be good to know if theres a problem there or not.

I on the other hand have had a bit of a wobble tonight!! I got myself very upset (a lot of personal stuff affecting my mental wellbeing more than I want it to) Had a big cry, let a lot of stuff out, and realised I need to stop putting pressure on it all. I'm also on my 4th glass of wine! And it's nice!! If it's not my month, I hope it will still happen. And I'm sure it will. But I also cant let it consume my everything!!

I'd rather not roll the karma dice and lie saying I've been trying for ages just incase karma being the bitxh that it can be...it actually ends up being ages and what if you then end up tracked for IVF when you don't actually need it and someone else really does?

FeckaDecka · 22/11/2019 18:57

@mellymoo86 how long have you actually been trying?

It's my first TWW and now I realise what everyone's been talking about! 😂

mellymoo86 · 22/11/2019 18:42

@Louu99 @CiaraJ01 @MrsC89 @Skygirl1983

Sorry for the late reply ladies, today has been a shit day. Was expecting a mattress and that never came. I HATE benson for beds. I've complained in every way that I can. Anyways forget that, I went to the doctor. I had to lie and say I was trying for 15 months, and you know what she said? I think you are stressed so stop doing the ovulation strips etc and try til 2 years 😂 I was like bitch please!

I went with hubby and he was like err no! So long story short I have done my first blood test as I am cycle day 1 today (AF appeared) where it'll look at my lh hormones, fsh etc...basically to see if I have everything in place as I should to ovulate. She managed to fit me in straight away. My next blood test is in 3 weeks to check if I ovulated and my progesterone levels. Hubby will also have his semen checked, we will then be referred accordingly to that. So let's see how it goes.
