CiaraJ01 · 16/11/2019 17:25

@Skygirl1983 I dont think I've ever been to Birmingham!! Perfect excuse to check it out though. We had to move twice in less than a year - it couldve been the beginning if the end lol!!

@stepmumma91 I never thought to look at second hand! I might have a look in the new year if we've not had any luck.

@PrettyGirl5545 and @stepmumma91 I'm seriously hoping good things come in 3s and I might get to be the 3rd BFP this week! But no more tests until Tuesday I swear - we can make a pact together @sh85?!

sh84 · 16/11/2019 17:22

I’ve also got 1 ov stick left, thinking of doing that just for the sheer hell of it, might curb my peeing on a stick addiction for a few days. Does this count as a craving- could it be a sign. I’m craving peeing on a stick 😂

sh84 · 16/11/2019 17:20

8dpo & it’s KILLING me knowing I’ve got a FR & boots digital test sitting in my bag. Thinking of doing FR Monday, wouldn’t do the boots one till AF due anyway. I had it in my head not to test till next fri but now I’m like I can do it at 10dpo if it’s negative I’ll just buy more & do one every day because it looks like I just love spending money on sticks to dip in my piss.

stepmumma91 · 16/11/2019 16:55

@PrettyGirl5545 Thank you 🥰

PrettyGirl5545 · 16/11/2019 16:43

@stepmumma91 I'm late! And i missed such a great news Congratulations!!!
Wow 2 BFPs. I hope we all get soon.
@CiaraJ01 it's you next hopefully!! Don't stress, and Yes please don't test before monday. It ll def b implantation cramps. Baby dust!

stepmumma91 · 16/11/2019 16:24

@CiaraJ01 @mellymoo86 the monitor is def expensive but I found my one on eBay, someone was selling a brand new one for £40 so I thought I'd have it lol.

@CiaraJ01 as @Louu99 says, def don't give up hope, give it a few days and try again. I was still only getting faint lines on the FRERs last night and had a BFN at 12DPO!

I'm in Surrey so not the only southerner!

@Skygirl1983 loveee Portsmouth, gunwharf quays is my fave for Christmas shopping! So many bargains!

Skygirl1983 · 16/11/2019 16:07

@CiaraJ01 if it's good xmas markets you want Birmingham is your place. We have been there a few times and are going again the weekend before xmas. Portsmouth is lovely, lots of history and good weather in the summer.

We were joking that we will never do the bathro or kitchen ourselves as it may end up in divorce!! We have done a lot of decorating and DIY recently and its gets pretty heated! That was before the wedding too and we still got married thankfully!

@skygirl1983 I love York!! I'd love to live there later.... I might actually book a trip to the Xmas markets there! 🤔 I've an old friend who lives in Portsmouth, it looks beautiful!

DIY is the test to all relationships I think!! 😂 That and moving house 🙈

Skygirl1983 · 16/11/2019 15:57

Wow that was a tough afternoon of DIY! We were putting a handrail on our stairs and our walls a rubbish! It ended in a trip to wickes and a McDonald's lunch after some heated words!! Its up now and he apologised which is good!

@mellymoo86 York is a great city to visit. I used to live in North Yorkshire and the whole area is really pretty.

I live in Portsmouth. Lived in Reading for a bit too. I was in the RAF in my early 20s so lived in a few places.

Thats good to know thanks @Louu99!!! I'll hold out till Tuesday and see of AF tears her ugly head and if not get a FRER🤞🤞

Louu99 · 16/11/2019 15:38

@CiaraJ01 and I had what was now implantation bleeding on 14dpo and still some spotting today. Keeping everything crossed it's all good though! X

Louu99 · 16/11/2019 15:37

@CiaraJ01 I'm so late posting but I tested on 10dpo and 12/13dpo with those cheap 4 days before tests and they were negative. I had that very faint positive on 14dpo so it's still possible! The bloods they took were positive so don't lose hope xx

CiaraJ01 · 16/11/2019 14:35

Itll be my second although the first was the overnight ferry trip and just one day in Amsterdam so dodng see much. This time I'm meeting my friends from Ireland there for a girly weekend, been friends since school so will be great getting a while weekend to catch up! We've booked Anne Frank and a canal cruise as the Lights festival has started.Any other recommendations?

I love the lake district but I think the peaks are my favourite. Anything with a hot tub I'm sold really!

I'm in Leeds not sure where others are actually?!

mellymoo86 · 16/11/2019 14:21

@CiaraJ01 aww that's nice, I've been to Amsterdam 4 times. I really like it. Will it be your first time?

I've been to Lake District, not peak. Hot tub sounds niiiice!! 😍 Need to do some research and see what comes up. I noticed a lot of you girls are up north. Thinking I'm the only one down in Reading.

CiaraJ01 · 16/11/2019 14:07

@mellymoo86 might give them a go in that case! Although I think I'm in amsterdam with the girls during my next fertile window, so this will be me out til next year 🙄

The peak district is really nice, as is the yorkshire Dale's. We got a cottage at the start of the year in the Dale's that was a bit away from it all - 20-30 min walk to the pub and little town, and we had a hot tub. So we spent most evenings in it looking out at the stars as there was no light pollution 😍

mellymoo86 · 16/11/2019 13:56

@CiaraJ01 I used CB sticks only when entering the fertile period because sometimes the cheap sticks don't clearly indicate the rise in hormones. So if I'm 10th - 15th (fertile period) I'll use it from 9-10th once in the morning that's all. You can get a pack of 20 in a box so it doesn't last some time as long as you don't go crazy with them lol. For your first time I would suggest using it from a few days prior to fertile time as the stick needs to pick up your baseline oestrogen levels in order to then pick up a surge later on if that makes sense.

I noticed through the sticks that I don't seem to have a slow uprise in the LH hormone and oestrogen together. I go from nothing to peak immediately. I know when I ovulate now so make sure I don't miss my window.

mellymoo86 · 16/11/2019 13:51

Need your help ladies. I'm planning a 2 day mini break for me and OH in between Christmas and new year. Nice hotel, nice place to eat, lots of relaxing. Anywhere in the UK you recommend?

CiaraJ01 · 16/11/2019 13:50

I used the cheapie OPK sticks, are the CB ones any better?
Yep cycle 2 although slot more focused this time compared to cycle 1.

mellymoo86 · 16/11/2019 13:47

@CiaraJ01 is this cycle two ttc for you?

mellymoo86 · 16/11/2019 13:40

@CiaraJ01 I had a look at the monitor to but then thought I use the cb ovulation sticks, the cheapie ones, cb pregnancy sticks, apps, so I don't need that.

CiaraJ01 · 16/11/2019 13:30

@mellymoo86 that's exactly how I feel! I think I'm playing it down to avoid the disappointment - but now AF is almost here I've little choice!
Hopefully the cramping is implantation them, but I'll not get my hope's up anyway!!

I looked up the CB ovulation monitor @stepmumma91 and although I really would like to increase my chances with it, I dont want to part with £80+ just yet, maybe if we've not been successful a few months in.

mellymoo86 · 16/11/2019 13:17

@CiaraJ01 from what I've read it can take place from 8-12 DPO. I've seen some happen earlier and some happen way later, so depends on the person.

I know what you mean. I don't know if it's me trying to soften the blow I'll get later or if I just know my body well enough to know nothing has happened. My best friend keeps saying not to think that way as she had no symptoms at all with her first two.

CiaraJ01 · 16/11/2019 13:05

How late can implantation be? I thought it was alot earlier?
I've convinced myself from last week its BFN this month but not sure why!
