Got a positive opk a couple of hours ago and I think we ve timed it a bit better this cycle, hoping it ll be enough.

@Anny27 not had a positive opk yet but wondering if I ve just timed the tests badly this time.

Today is a struggle.......I am so tired I am almost asleep at my desk! 🙈Too much prosecco last night so about to have a tea and a choc brownie!

@whatsthecraic91 thats annoying, I cant get mine to call to make the appointment to give the sample so you are one step ahead at least! I am thinking spring of next year!

@1990shopefulftm I just buy the cheap ones from Amazon but make sure the seller gets good ratings!

@Anny27 haha really? How many did you view? DF has vetoed a lot already and I am worried that we will go and see this one and like it and it all seems too easy lol!

@Kiza I know 😬I guess everyone has to start somewhere though.

@Lottiepink haha I know, like how can it be sore? I am pretty sure I am 2 or 3 DPO but not really tracking. Yes I am looking forward to all the planning but would like to get a venue and date locked down!

Out tomorrow for drinks with friends and at this stage i am not feeling it, hopefully get a bus nap on the way home lol! Whats everyone got on this weekend?

@lozzlepop haha, it's funny how you get pain with ovulation; you wouldn't think it was sore 😂 I've actually felt it a lot this cycle. Ovulation day today 👏🏻 how lovey going to look at venues, really good way to distract your mind too 😊

@Dippytique good that your positive about af being her the way, After such a long time it is nice to know where you are!

Wednesday was just consultation but am feeling co fident it will work. Minor surgery will be scheduled soon, hopefully before March

@Lozzlepop eeesh, you'd prefer not to know it's a trainee when they are doing such an intimate procedure!
@Dippytique any more symptoms?

@whatsthecraic91 will definitely let you guys know how the procedure goes for sure. Do you use opks or get any ovulation symptoms?

@Anny27 from all my reading spotting 1-3 days before AF is ok and common. I think it's when it's going into a week before it's questionable. Mine seems to vary, some months is a week some months just a day or two but I'm going to start taking evening primrose oil from AF to O just in case I'm low in progesterone. Think after my miscarriage my cycles are a little longer as its cd13 and no ovulation signs e.g. EWCM yet! Going away this weekend so will be nice and relaxing and hopefully some time for DTD :)

@Lottiepink I think it's good to tell some family. Everyone in my family now knows we are TTC because I was in hospital due to the miscarriage. It's nice everyone knowing as noone asks inappropriate questions now! Have you told them yet?

@lozzlepop that's exciting looking at wedding venues :D we actually had our venue sorted within a month after we got engaged, I was just so excited haha

@Kiza I usually spot (brown discharge really) a day or two before AF. Should I be concerned about that??

@MIW01 ahhh we all have those awful down days :( I think ttc really affects mental health, I am definitley more anxious and a bit more down than I usually am.

@1990shopefulftm have you ovulated yet?

@Lozzlepop unfortunately, no sign of it going dark on an OPK yet, and I was very confident I'd ovulated this time last cycle. I don't really want to spend a lot on tests and things but if it doesn't happen this month, i think I ll try a different brand.

DH has been on Wellman this month but he forgotten to take it a few times so probably not making a difference yet.

@Lottiepink he rang today and the doctor didn’t call him back - so annoying!

@Lozzlepop I can’t his doctor will only speak to him 🙄 how exciting, have you any time in mind you want to get married?

@Kiza hopefully we hear tomorrow I am dying to know the results!! I want to hear how you get on with your HSG as I have to get one too at some stage, currently on the waiting list.

My app says I am ovulating today which is CD13, last month was the same, they are the only 2 months I have temped and I reckon I was missing it every month as I always assumed I was ovulating around CD16-17 and had a short LP but obviously not! Hopefully I was just missing it!

I’ve had some very light spotting and cramps today so I think AF is finally on the way. I feel relieved - it’s like a reset button & at least I can start tracking properly now! No idea why it’s been so late this month but at least I can start looking forward to the next cycle now!

@Kiza thats really odd that your letter says that as mine said the complete opposite 🙈oh god that does not sound great 😬you will need to let me know how you get on, the fertility nurse is doing mine - she's in training 😭Let me know if the Valium is the way forward hahaha

@MIW01 sorry to hear you're feeling that way, I completely understand though and have been there a few times myself so went for some therapy for a few months. You're dealing with a hell of a lot and it's understandable you're feeling this way, do what you think is right for you

@Dippytique I'm really hoping it's a positive outcome for you and hope the GP can get you booked in soon so you can talk it out with them and maybe get a blood test

@whatsthecraic91 bless him, definitely sounds like some procrastination there, it's frustrating that the GP can't tell you his results. I rang up and when the GP came on the phone I passed it over to DP as I just needed to know!

AF arrived in the early hours so phoned up to book in the HSG although she confused me as the letter said it needs to be done between cd2-5 but on the phone she said you can't be bleeding at all not even spotting (which is likely in my case) so we booked it for cd 9 which is Thursday next week and just hope all spotting after AF has finished!
@Lozzlepop she confirmed they are the same thing so at least now I know. She also said I can take Valium beforehand or 'anything I want' to ease my anxiety (not sure smoking a joint, a bottle of red and popping a load of Valium is acceptable 🤪)

@MIW01I am so sorry to hear this, it can be such a rough journey 😔maybe try and go for a little walk if you are up to it, the fresh air might help, being cooped up in the house will be making you feel rubbish. That's really good that you got your Bupa appointment so quickly, is it just an initial chat tonight? Hope it goes well!

@1990shopefulftm my OPKs usually just go dark one day, theres no progression, just keep testing - it will come!

@Dippytique have you had any stresses this last month that could account for AF being so late?

@whatsthecraic91 are you able to call and get the results for him?

@Lottiepink thanks, me too- although did have OV pain for 4 days which was weird 😬actually thought that I had appendicitis yesterday as I was in so much pain 🙈

@MIW01 thank you, yeh he's stopped drinking pretty much, he only had 3 beers from Xmas til he done his lady SA, and he's made some big changes on other areas, but maybe still a few more to push. He's really fit but loves junk food 🙈
Sorry to hear you've been through all those announcements, it's so awful, We are going to tell MIL today that we have been trying for a long time and we have issues, as no one knows and to be honest I think she's going to get a shock as she Has been on my case for ages!

@whatsthecraic91 ah bless him, it might be ok! Ours was back the same day, the doc commented on it and didn't ring us, tbh I don't think they would have either. Maybe try again 😂

CD 14 here and got pos OPK yesterday morning, faded by last night think I'm ovulating today! Can't get used to ov so early, feel like I'm missing the whole fertile week!

@MIW01 I hope they respect it was difficult for you to share something so personal and they're sensitive about it. Ah i m probably drinking too much before doing opks.

DP is being annoying saying he is just going to wait for the doctor to ring him with the results 🙄 the hospital said he should hear within 2 weeks. He is obviously putting it off as he nervous about the result even tho he says he isn’t 🙃

Thanks @1990shopefulftm that's good to know but think I've done all the blood tests now. My OPK instructions say don't drink 2 hours before the test.

So the other aspect is I've just been honest and told them the truth when they ask about back ties cause it was just getting ridiculous with all the announcements. So lots of people are now aware we've been referred for infertility and hopefully wont be quite so insensitive from now on, we'll see.

Still no sign of AF here. 13 days over now. I’ve done 3 more tests since the last one and all BFN. I feel sick and ridiculously emotional- like I’m about to burst into tears at any second. I have convinced myself that this is PMT but each day there is no sign of AF. I’ve decided to ring the GP on Friday as I’ll be over 2 weeks overdue then. I just want to know now what the hell is going on .

Not had a positive opk yet or any sign of them getting darker, didn't think to take pictures last cycle so I don't have the comparison but I had a definite positive on cd14 and I m cd13 now so hopefully it's just I m not drinking enough or something.

@MIW01 that's a lot of announcements around you , be kind to yourself. Hopefully Bupa gets you some answers, you can order kits to do fertility bloods online if you wanted to know from that perspective without seeing a specialist yet.

Sorry to hear about SA @Lottiepink I'm sure you're already aware about the lifestyle changes ges and all that to try.

@ValidUser and @Anny27 I am also so fed up with people's attitudes!

Well I am really hating life right now. 3 friends ds and my sister announced they are pregnant this January. Gynae written to say they have no appointments - thank goodness for Bupa but that will only get us so far as not for infertility! I'm currently off sick this week struck down by tonsillitis, chesty cough, flu etc. I feel so depressed I think I am suffering depression, ever since I found d out about the polyp I have no libido which has never happened to me! I've got my first Bupa appointment tonight and my f**g period has started 2 days earlier! I've absolutely had enough of this s**t tbh and at the end of my tether with it all.

@Lottiepink yes we were referred due to his results but in the 1st consultation she asked about both our histories and strongly recommended no alcohol for him. She also sent me for a load of tests as she said if all my results come back fine then the issue is with him (if his 2nd SA comes back the same) and then our only option is IVF. She said if his results come back better she will still refer us to IVF as I'm 39, he's 36 and we've been trying for 18 months.
So hopefully I'll have my 2 final tests done by next week and can get our consultation booked again (probably another 3 month wait for that 🙄). He buys the supps individually as we have a very healthy diet so didn't want to overdo any of the other supps.
Don't worry about moaning in here- that's what we are all hear for!!

@Lushfanatic123 welcome to the group, definitely sounds like your first proper bleed and good that it was within a month time frame.

@Lozzlepop I think I keep on getting the HSG and HycoSy mixed up... are they the same thing?

Yes still loving it, just trying to work out when we will be able to get married so putting the feelers out already, if its more likely to be towards the end of next year then we will get back on the TTC bandwagon. I know what you mean, my ring gets locked in my drawer at lunch when I go to the gym lol!

Got a positive OPK last night so glad that things seem to have returned to normal fairly quickly!

@Kiza I know, I feel bad for twining now, it was the doctors that rang and booked us with a consultant at the hospital. Yeh I think that's what it is, it was DH that they rang so I didn't get to ask my 1 million questions 😂
What happened at your first app? Because it's DH that's technically been referred i assume it's to talk about his results, but surely that's when they will then get me booked in for my scans etc? I've just ordered the wellman for conception vitamins. They have all that it apart from the ashwaghanda. Do you just buy them all separately?
That's a shame about the spotting again, will you consider the acupuncture again? So good to hear that you are feeling fab, the relaxing about it all will do you the world of good 😊
