Hey @Lozzlepop the more I look at it the more I can't see anything either 😖 also , we went on the NHS but when we had our first appointment she offered us a £70 anti mullerian hormone test so I thought why not, but kinda dreading it now as if it comes back with something bad I'll be devastated

Kiza · 22/11/2019 11:06

@Lozzlepop my O date used to change a lot so I would do poke the day after my period just to ensure I caught it. Do you think you missed it?

Shuckle · 22/11/2019 11:01

Morning ladies! Can somebody please tie my hands to my chair? Promised myself I wouldn't test until AF due but my hands have a mind of their own, keep wandering over to Amazon, boots, superdrug websites "just for a look" at tests Grin

XjustagirlX · 22/11/2019 09:16

@lozzlepop I did another frer this morning and it was a BFN. I am going to keep testing in the mornings.

Lottiepink · 22/11/2019 09:04

@Lozzlepop happy Friday!

I never have either, I usually ov 18/19 usually but this cycle it's logged it as day 15 which is the earliest it's ever been, I did have ewcm and ov type pains too! So strange, sorry no answers though 🤣

Lottiepink · 22/11/2019 08:59

@Kiza aww least it's upcoming 😊 sounds like you are definitely putting your all into it, we are going to wait til the 2nd SA before he starts any supplements, but he's going to make the lifestyle changes too 😊

@GalaxyGirl24 welcome 👋🏻
Oh the SA is so awkward isn't it 🙈 even worse having to do it there, poor DH, we are quite lucky that we live relatively close to our hospital. Not long to wait then, bet you just want to know now, fingers crossed you get some answers!

@Lozzlepop thank you, least we have some answers now though, I've only had day 21 bloods so far, so I suppose I'm not ruled out yet either, could be potentially something with both of us but who knows!

Lozzlepop · 22/11/2019 08:41

Morning ladies Happy Friday!!

@GalaxyGirl24 sorry I can't see anything on the hpt but the IC aren't that great, maybe test again on a FRER if AF doesn't show? Did you go private or was the hormone test an optional extra?

@Anny27 I'm glad to hear it, it does take to get over more so emotionally so be kind to yourself, always here if you need a chat ❤️

@XjustagirlX I dont chart I'm afraid so can't offer any guidance 😞are you going to hold off or test again in a few days?

Has anyone had any experience with earlier than anticipated OV? Since we started this journey I have always got my positive OPK at CD17/18 currently on CD20 with low readings -apps are saying that OV is due today but last Saturday I felt what may have been OV pains but I would have been CD14 and have never OV that early. I know stresses etc can affect your cycle making it longer but can it make it shorter? I have had the cold for almost 2 weeks so I'm not sure if it will actually be delayed just the pains are causing me to wonder 🤷🏽‍♀️Any advice welcome

GalaxyGirl24 · 22/11/2019 08:15

Thanks @Anny27 - it's a difficult one as I think my eyes and body are just playing tricks now. DH couldn't see any lines on those ones or the ones I did today. No AF yet, if she still isn't here by tomorrow then this is the longest cycle I've ever had since recording them. Started tracking BBT this morning, been meaning to get on with it for ages so hopefully that'll give some clues in the next couple of months when I get some sort of picture of my temps

XjustagirlX · 22/11/2019 07:01

@lozzlepop ye I pop in and out of the thread. I get so down and upset each cycle that goes by. I did track ovulation. I got a static smiley in CD20. My temp is still high this morning 14dpo (or could be 13 dpo or even 12dpo). I was under the impression that the luteal phase was fixed but I’m not sure where I read that. Here is my chart.

@GalaxyGirl24 mmm i cant see anything but i know how hard it is to photograph squinters! In regards to the OPK thats not a positive i'm afraid, i have a faint 2nd line at all stages in my cycle so a positive is two lines of the same darkness or the test line being slightly darker than the control line. Hope that helps xxx

@Lozzlepop yes i am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!! Those pesky hormones definitley played a part hahah!

GalaxyGirl24 · 21/11/2019 18:11

@SunnyFlover hey, yeah I have read that about OPKs so trying not to read into it at all! However, I have never had a second line on an OPK when testing for ovulation so it was odd I'd get one so close to AF being due - I hope I don't ovulate so late in my cycle!!!!

@Lozzlepop thanks for the welcome! No stressful situations I am aware of!! I bet I'll come on tomorrow after doing like 6 million tests 😖 the fertility clinic was ok, we've had one appt and so far have had:

  • internal scan (showed no issues)
  • A 2nd Semen analysis - waiting for results
  • blood tests done on both of us
  • £70 Anti Mullerian Hormone test
GalaxyGirl24 · 21/11/2019 18:05

@Anny27 I've attached some pics of what I thought was a squinter and also my OPK ...I agree, I think I'd be showing on a HPT if I was -

@Shuckle welcome to the thread, the ladies on here are fantastic- supportive and always have plenty of advice!

@Anny27 glad to hear you are feeling a bit better! thank you so much lovely, definitely a sad time but hopefully our appointment gives us those long awaited answers! I found going back to work was actually good to keep my mind active and focused on something.

@Lottiepink sorry the SA weren’t the results you wanted and it’s frustrating that they haven’t given you much advice. Hopefully being over the Xmas period the weeks will fly in!

@Kiza I think my guy is pretty old 😂 but he seems to have published a lot of stuff which is encouraging- fingers crossed, not long for you now!!

@GalaxyGirl24 Welcome to the thread 👋🏻 you are in the right place! How’s your experience been with the fertility clinic? We have an appointment in 4 weeks for recurrent miscarriage but I’m sure a lot of the initial tests they run are the same! Are you going to wait a few days and test again? Any stressful situations (other than TTC) that could be causing AF to be late?

@XjustagirlX nice to see you back on the thread! Did you track OV this month? Anything that could cause AF to be late for you- stress wise?

SunnyFlover · 21/11/2019 17:15

@GalaxyGirl24 OPK will indicate the pregnancy only if the result line is the same or darker than the control line and you are 100% sure that you are not ovulating that day. As OPK's always have second faint line and it doesn't mean absolutely anything unless it is getting darker or the same as control.

Anny27 · 21/11/2019 14:38

@GalaxyGirl24 how strange!

From experience, a opk can show positive if you are pregnant but you would get a clear positive on a hpt before the opk would start being positive if that makes sense.

Can you post your photo og the squinter or does it not photograph well?

GalaxyGirl24 · 21/11/2019 13:11

@Anny27 thanks :) so we're in a similar position then, I think I had a chemical/very early MC in Sept 2019. AF still isn't here but I've done about 20 hpts over today and yesterday and all BFN except one v v v faint squinter and a positive OPK which was a random spanner in the works 🤦🏾‍♀️

Anny27 · 21/11/2019 11:42

@XjustagirlX that makes more sense, i was wondering why you were saying that it didnt feel like AF if you had a bfp 😂😂

Well thats promissing that it doesnt feel on the way! Perhaps test again in a few days xx

XjustagirlX · 21/11/2019 09:52

@Anna27 I’m such an idiot. I was typing on the tram and I meant to write BFN. I wonder if that’s a sign 😂

Anny27 · 21/11/2019 09:37

@XjustagirlX so you have a bfp???

@Shuckle i ttc for 4 months before my MC anf EVERY month i had symptoms haha. Its part of being welcomed to the ttc journey haha!

@Lottiepink yeah it must have been hard news for you :( xx

@kiza hopefully thr times you see eachother will coincide with ovulatoyion!

Welcome @GalaxyGirl24 :D i am 27 and ttc since June 2019 (feel pregnant in September but MC in november)

Ahh the sperm sample in the hospital does sound humiliating haha!

XjustagirlX · 21/11/2019 08:54

Ok so I’m sooo confused. I am currently on 11, 12 or 13 dpo (I’m not certain on which day I ovulated as I took my temps a bit later around ovulation). I usually have a 12 day luteal phase. So that means af was either due yesterday, today or tomorrow. I took a frer this morning and it was a BFP.

I had twinges pains yesterday and my nipple has been super itchy. But I don’t feel like af is coming. I usually have a low mood and cramps and painful boobs but I don’t have any of that.

I don’t have achy or veiny boobs and my nipples aren’t darker which I thought was all the usual signs.

Sorry I don’t really have a question I just wanted to vent.

Also I usually spot for one or two days before af so on 11 and 12 dpo.

GalaxyGirl24 · 21/11/2019 08:16

Just reading through all of these messages @ValidUser I thought I could see a squinter on that test but I may also have line eyes as I've been squinting at my own all morning 👁

Also, @Lottiepink we have had to do 2 SA's for DP and they are an absolute nightmare how they set it up. DH absolutely hated it because were too far to do it at home and dash in to drop it off he has to book a room at the hospital and he says it's awful walking out to the receptionist and just handing over this cup of semen like some sort of oddball 🤣 we both had lots of blood work done also this month so we will find out results early Dec 2019 at our next fertility clinic appt.

GalaxyGirl24 · 21/11/2019 08:11

Hello all,

If this is an active thread then I will join if that's okay ☺️

TTC #1
26 yrs old
Cycle 8 (or 9 if I don't conceive this month)
Roughly 28 day cycle

Currently with the fertility clinic due to unusual periods and blood work showing low progesterone on day 21 tests.

AF was due yesterday but that's a whole separate post 😅 I've had negative FRERs then I thought I had a squinter on IC but DH can't see anything. ARGH. 😖

Kiza · 20/11/2019 21:08

@Lottiepink it's ok, yeah we got our date a while ago. It's 2nd Dec so only a week and half to wait.
The GP also didn't give us much advice re: morphology so we did our own research until our fertility appointment. DP already is a non smoker, non drinker, gym bunny so the only things he could change was caffeine (in his pre workout drink), bought big baggy boxers (which are hilarious!) started trying to de-stress his life and taking vit E, Coenzyme Q10, zinc, lycopene. We shall see if it's made any difference.

@Lozzlepop not a lot about her on the internet so will just have to wait and see. Yours sounds promising though!

Welcome to the group @Shuckle ☺️ yeah symptom spotting is the worst! Messes with my brain each time I do it and I convince myself I'm pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Anny27 all you can do is take each day as it comes. Starting back at work may be helpful in some respects as it gives you something else to focus on. Take it easy, AF is just about coming to an end. DP is away sun-fri so no SMEP for us this cycle will just have to cram as much in as we can when he gets home Friday next week!

Lottiepink · 20/11/2019 19:05

@Lozzlepop I know, need to do another on test, I'll do it shortly (holding in wee for as long as possible 🤣) hope the traffic this morning didn't interfere with your day too much!
They haven't really gave us a strategy to increase the sperm just said the normal things cut back alcohol, keep them cool etc then we will be referred if the next one comes back as bad...

Welcome @Shuckle 😊

Thank you @orangeloo

@whatsthecraic91 haha that made me chuckle 😂😂

@Anny27 pleased you are feeling a little better, maybe getting back to work will help a little, a bit of a routine etc! We are totally gutted to be honest, but seeing in these treads, it obviously happens more than you expect!

Dr rang me, sperm count is only 5million and the normal is at least 37 million (or 39 can't remember 🤣) The movement seems fine but morphology is only at 2% and 4% is the lowest normal range, and PH was also higher than normal but not much... feel like a bit in limbo, but won't know more until the next test in 6 weeks 😕

Shuckle · 20/11/2019 18:47

@Anny27 thanks!

Yes just used cheapies this month as I wasn't really sure I'd do it right to start with and didn't want to spend loads! Managed to get a really strong positive on Saturday (CD16) and have managed to DTD 3 times since Saturday so feeling optimistic! I keep thinking I have all sorts of symptoms and have no past experience to compare it to so it's all very exciting (and a little bit scary)!

Been convinced all day my left boob really hurts. Realistically I know at 3 or 4dpo there's no chance of symptoms just yet so trying to stay calm, eek!.
