@MIW01 that sucks balls. Waiting makes this whole process so much harder!

I did have a bit of a cry when talking to my lovely fertility nurse today. February for IVF feels like years away! And if I hadn't got a bit portly on my hormones I wouldn't be waiting, so feeling a tad cross with myself.

But if it weren't my weight, Christmas would still get in the way, so it's not like it makes a massive difference.

Hello @ValidUser @whatsthecraic91 @SunnyFlover @Lozzlepop @orangeloo @Anny27 @Kiza

And welcome @Shuckle @GalaxyGirl24

The spunk in a cup and cervix stories have brought smiles to my eyes and I'm soooooo fed up hearing about people accidentally falling pregnant now!

It's been a bit manic recently, I've had a job interview and submitted an application, had family stay for the weekend and am recovering from another stomach bug and started my nutrition programme!

And, the GP has now informed me that I need more blood tests and an ultrasound before she can do a referral so don't think that'll happen until the new year now!

ValidUser · 27/11/2019 21:58

Sorry @whatsthecraic91. X

On my last follicle tracking cycle.

So I got my pre ivf smear and chlamydia swab today. I need to lose 10kg but I'll manage that easily. Got into a comfort eating habit in recent months!

Filling out the paperwork now and our first appointment will be late January!

@whatsthecraic91 so sorry 😭😭

Lottiepink · 27/11/2019 21:07

@XjustagirlX aww fab they are taking you seriously and good with getting the tests done! Haha I'm a nightmare I don't like the thought of mine doing it himself even though it's totally normal 🙈😂 I like to be a part of it, feel hard done by 😂 hopefully though it will totally take the pressure off and work for you both🤞🏻

Hope you all are doing ok?

Katlia · 27/11/2019 21:00

I should say that my husband will not be pleased about this which is why I'm getting into a state

Katlia · 27/11/2019 20:56

Hi
I've never posted here but need some advice. I've been on the pill for six years since I had my daughter but recently been on some medication that makes me a bit fuzzy. I've also been very stressed in a new job. Anyway I missed a few pills and decided to test to check. I've missed a few before with no issue so thought I was just being ott. I used a digital even though I hate them because when I was trying for my daughter I had a bout five positives on them in as many months that all turned into chemicals. The digital came up like you can see. I immediately panicked and drove to a supermarket and picked up a clear blue with a strip and it was definitely positive. Then I read these are notorious for false positives too. So then today I went back and bought a pink dye which is supposed to be more sensitive at 10 rather than 25 but there's only a barely there line as you can see. So then I did the second blue dye test and that was clearly positive. Idk what is going on.

@Lottiepink I’m 30. He said he will ‘relieve himself’ a few days before haha.

@whatsthecraic91 how many dpo are you?

whatsthecraic91 · 27/11/2019 20:15

BFN of course 😶

whatsthecraic91 · 27/11/2019 19:33

Ps caved and held my wee for 4 hours, I done it in a pot and put it in the cupboard under sink before I got in the bath, DP likes to come in to talk to me sometimes so I’ll test when I get out 😅 so scared of seeing a BFN 🥺

whatsthecraic91 · 27/11/2019 19:30

@XjustagirlX that’s brilliant they were so good! I am really scared going to the GP in January as I have recently moved house out of the area so I have had to leave the GP I was with my whole life and going somewhere new is worrying me so much.

Lottiepink · 27/11/2019 19:00

@XjustagirlX how good they have told you they will do the tests now, how old are you? I thought it was only if you were over 35? Totally get why you are going to try a different way this cycle, hopefully it works fingers crossed!
Weird question tho, will your DH relieve himself (better way to put it 😂) before you try after the peak smily? I only ask as if they don't ejaculate for over 7 days I think many of the sperm are not viable, but that's based on what they say for the sperm test?

Kiza · 27/11/2019 18:56

@XjustagirlX that's really positive your gp requested those tests so quickly. My first attempt at a GP was rather rude and adamant we had to wait a year, despite my age. Hope the tests go smoothly for you

XjustagirlX · 27/11/2019 18:18

@whatsthecraic91 the gp was lovely actually. I was really worried in case they were really unhelpful as I’ve read done horror stories. But I was really impressed.

This cycle we have decided to not DTD until i get a peak smiley. Then do it for 3 days. We have tried doing it every other day and it’s just not working. Apparently that’s what worked for my DH brother the month they got pregnant.

whatsthecraic91 · 27/11/2019 18:14

@xjustagirlx we have been trying since January- going to my GP in January if I’m not pregnant before then 🤞🏼

XjustagirlX · 27/11/2019 17:25

@whatsthecraic91 since May this year

whatsthecraic91 · 27/11/2019 17:09

@XjustagirlX how long have you been trying?

XjustagirlX · 27/11/2019 15:53

So af arrived on Sunday. I was so gutted. I decided to go to the gp and I am having my blood tests done on Friday. She said I should get the results within a couple of days but I will need to wait 6 weeks for the ultrasound. DH has also ordered a sperm analysis from his gp.

Kiza · 27/11/2019 12:52

@SunnyFlover it was with a couple of other pregnancies whereby I mc. I think everyone's bodies are different and maybe some of us produce hcg at a slower rate? 🤷🏼‍♀️

SunnyFlover · 27/11/2019 11:22

@kiza, sorry for asking, but how far are you now? ( or was it with the previous pregnancy?) all info I can get is amazing 🌻

Kiza · 27/11/2019 11:09

@SunnyFlover my lines didn't start to get darker until about a week past AF was due... so around 20dpo. Wishing you all the best for this one though as a line is still a line and hoping it sticks for you.
@Shuckle live that acronym!

whatsthecraic91 · 27/11/2019 10:58

@SunnyFlover there are definitely lines there, just strange they aren’t getting darker! Are you 9/10DPO now or from when you first started testing? What symptoms have you got?

SunnyFlover · 27/11/2019 10:23

@Shuckle I am laughing out loud...🤣🤣🤣 the best abbreviation I heard in a long time

SunnyFlover · 27/11/2019 10:18

@whatsthecraic91 well, maybe for 39 euros the test helps one to get pregnant...! Not like these little eBay cheap tests that are driving me mad... faint positives on the day and then looking at it once it's totally dry the next day- nothing. 9/10DPO that silly faint line is just not moving any closer to the real deal for last 3 mornings... 😡

FRER done on Sunday ( I am traveling and didn't get time to find FRER in local stores, but using 10mlU sensitivity cheap strips to see if it is progressing... clearly not)
