@MIW01 wow that's shocking! Where do you live?

MIW01 · 29/11/2019 16:28

Hello @Anny27 and @Kiza in our area they wont find any fertility treatments if the woman is over 35 and as part of the referral process I need to have all the blood tests and ultrasound first before they will refer me.

@SunnyFlover sorry to hear AF arrived

whatsthecraic91 · 29/11/2019 15:06

Ah starting to get a wee bit crampy on and off now 😓 let the knicker checking at 5 second intervals commence 🙁

Kiza · 29/11/2019 12:55

@MIW01 do you mind me asking why it has to be before you're 35?

Anny27 · 29/11/2019 12:12

@MIW01 what the ultrasound for? That's a shame you have to wait till Jan!

Is this referral for fertility treatment before you are 35?

MIW01 · 29/11/2019 11:24

No ultrasound appointments until January! Going to be tearing my hair out! Sad and worried they're cutting it fine because I need to be referred and seen before my 35th birthday in September and there are looooooooong waiting lists!

Kiza · 29/11/2019 10:35

@Lozzlepop sorry I missed your post but congratulations! Completely understand your feelings, am I right in thinking your appointment was for reoccurring mc?
If it was me I'd keep the appointment but phone up 2-3 days before explaining the situation that this BFP cannot be guaranteed that it will stick and you'd still like to keep the appointment just in case as initial appointments are discussions anyway. They wouldn't be doing any tests during your first appointment but instead taking history and potentially booking for future tests.

Kiza · 29/11/2019 09:56

@Jadey31 welcome to the group, as @Lottiepink mentioned it appears only 1 of your opk looked close to a peak reading.
Here's a photo of mine the last 3 days, as you can see only the middle one is a peak reading, the other 2 are just highs so I wouldn't interpret them as peak.

@lozzlepop ahh that's really exciting and obviously not the best timing ith your appointment but perhaps it is......hopefully they can work around it and help keep this little one stick!!! They can check your hormone levels and what not.

Congratulations, really pleased for you but understand your anxieties xxxx

whatsthecraic91 · 29/11/2019 09:41

@Lozzlepop I would definitely not cancel it yet and do as @MIW01 and just see how it plays out. Fingers crossed this little one sticks for you 🤞🏼 ❤️

@SunnyFlover sorry to hear you’re out this month! I’m due Sunday - Tuesday and I’m willing AF to stay away!

Lozzlepop · 29/11/2019 09:37

@whatsthecraic91 I really don’t know- I think she said they might do some bloods! I’m not sure if I call and explain we’ll still get seen or if it’s just a no?

@zeeeex well no...... we’ve been waiting 16 weeks on an appointment to the recurrent miscarriage clinic so now I’ve totally screwed everything up 😞

SunnyFlover · 29/11/2019 09:37

@Lozzlepop what to do you ask...? Jump for joy! Congratulations lovely!!!

Ladies, my af arrived ... so it seems 2 months in a row at 10DPO. Shot Lutheal phase? What to do to prolong it? I am worried that this will affect my chances of getting pregnant. Been off the pill for 3 months now, 2 months trying to conceive. I get faint positives around 6/7 DPO and then period arrives at 10/11 DPO

MIW01 · 29/11/2019 09:35

Oh @Lozzlepop ! Sod and his bloody law! I would just keep testing just in case and if still BFP 48 hours before you'll have to call and tell them. Sorry that's probably not very helpful but best I can think of atm.

zeeeex · 29/11/2019 09:29

@Lozzlepop that's great news isn't it?! ♥️ congratulations on your positive! I'm sure you'll be in shock xx

whatsthecraic91 · 29/11/2019 09:29

@lozzlepop OMG 😮 is this your first appointment? Will they be running tests or is it just an initial consultation?

Lozzlepop · 29/11/2019 09:22

Ladies please help I am freaking out! Just back from Vienna and we have our appointment in 2 weeks and I’ve got a BFP- what do I do? Spent the whole morning crying - I’m in bits

whatsthecraic91 · 29/11/2019 09:06

@Anny27 going to go to the GP in the new year if nothing happens before then. I’m really worried about going as I have just changed GPs from the one I have been with my whole life as I moved house, no idea what to expect 🙁

ValidUser · 28/11/2019 23:49

@Lottiepink yes, hoping to hit ideal range soon. The clinic I'm going to is usually happy with a BMI under 30, but because of the whole dodgy clotting thing they want mine lower.

Thanks everyone. Looking forward!

@MIW01 here's hoping you get seen soon. X

And now DP just pulled out a 1kg bar of dairy milk and claimed he didn't know we were starting this week! I made him put it away and promised I'd make it up to him which he did begrudgingly Envy

MIW01 · 28/11/2019 21:52

Real empathy @orangeloo @whatsthecraic91 @Kiza @Anny27 @ValidUser and also welcome @Jadey31 reality really sucks sometimes.

Got a phone call from the diagnostic centre to book my ultrasound today but unfortunately missed the call! Impressed by how quick that is though so keeping fingers crossed can get that and bloods done before Christmas 🤞

Finding the nutrition programme tough . . . Supposed to drink only water and herbal tea but struggling as despise the taste so I have decided to drink the clipper decaf with goats milk this week and try and up the ante next week when I'm off work. And despite eating well and sticking to the plan I feel ravenous! I think repercussions after recovering from the stomach bug.

Lottiepink · 28/11/2019 21:40

@Kiza I didn't think so but I'm not totally side either! I the one day drop is usually an implantation sign but mines actually been 3 days 😐 so flipping frustrating 😂 that's strange too, well we are in the same boat 🙈 if you find anything let me know haha!!

@zeeeex welcome!

@Anny27 mine always does before af but not this many days, usually only day of or day before! Totally confused! I'll just take it as a bad sign as got full on af cramps!

@Jadey31 welcome! I'm not 100% sure if I would take any of them as full positives apart from the last one. Even then to me it just looks like it's really high but I'm no mega expert and it could be my eyes as I'm shattered! But I always thought it had to be the same as the control line or darker? Does your app say if they are positive or not?

Anny27 · 28/11/2019 21:24

@Jadey31 welcome :D

Sometimes your body will gear up to ovulate and produce LH hut not actually ovulate. So probably you geared up to ovulate but then didn't? Defo DTD toNight/tomorrow just incase:)

(But my mother in law told me that her doctor says she ovulated twice a month so could be that haha),

Jadey31 · 28/11/2019 20:56

Hello everyone

I hope you don't mind me joining in on the thread. I'm after some advice.

My partner and I are trying for our first baby. We have been trying for 6 months and I've been keeping track of ovulation by taking tests and using the Ovia app.

This month I was due to ovulate on Tuesday however felt my usual aches and pains down below on Sunday so I knew I was ovulating so I took a test and I was right. So I usually carry on taking a test until the test line become negative. This month that never happened and now looks like I've ovulated more than once! Has this ever happened to anyone before?

Sunday evening - Positive
Monday morning - Positive
Monday evening - Negative (DTD that night)
Tuesday morning - Negative
Tuesday evening - Negative
Wednesday morning - Positive
Wednesday evening - Negative
Thursday morning - Positive
Thursday evening - Positive (hoping you DTD tonight 🙈)

Really hoping someone has had a similar situation happen to them before and able to point me in the right direction as to why this has happened! Thanks you xx

Thank you @Lottiepink mmm my temps have dropped and then risen before but if it's close to AF time then might not be a good sign :(

@Kiza thanks! Hopefully my rough ride this time means I get an easy pass next time?....haha here hoping

@whatsthecraic91 are you going to see the GP at the year point or have you already been?

zeeeex · 28/11/2019 19:38

Hey I hope you don't mind me joining in!

I came off the pill mid October and haven't had a period since 22nd October... I've been having really bad cramps for about two weeks now, back ache and fluctuating temperatures. I have an exam on Tuesday so I've vowed that I won't test til after it's done and dusted!

🤞🏻
