Have any of you ladies heard of seed cycling to balance out hormones? The idea being we eat pumpkin and flaxseeds before O to boost estrogen and sunflower and sesame seeds after O to boost prog estrogen. I think the idea is a teaspoon a day. Just thinking @MIW01 if it's part of your nutrition plan?

Anny27 · 12/12/2019 15:15

So had my EPU appointment this morning and they said there is a small bleed/blob in the womb which will probably come out naturally soon. Lining looks fine and doesn't indicate any products left it. And I had some blood tests to check my hcg levels and I will need to go back to get them checked again to make sure the levels drop from the first test. Also saw a women get told her bad news about her baby which was quite emotional and brought me back to when we found out our sad news :(

@MIW01 another guider! I am a brownie guide leader and we had our last session on Tuesday....oh how I need the break haha!

@Lozzlepop fingers crossed it's just an upset tummy and nothing to worry about! Did you cancel your recurrent miscarriage appointment or still going along?

@Lemonysherbet yep she is definitely an ex friend now 😂 do you have a gender preference?

MIW01 · 12/12/2019 09:33

Hello @Lemonysherbert nice to hear from you. I hope you are enjoying the pregnancy as much as possible. Do let us know whether it's a boy or girl when you find out! We're very pro gender neutral but like you I'm rubbish with surprises so I will definitely be finding out!

AF is here with a vengeance. She's a day late and is the worse she's been for a while. I'm not very happy about this as the nutrition plan is supposed to balance my hormones and reduce PMT not male it worse! And I've got a long day today as it's the last Guides meet for this term. I've also got to go into town at lunchtime to get Christmas presents!

Lemonysherbet · 12/12/2019 08:41

@kiza thanks, I miss checking in here and seeing how everyone is doing so wanted to pop by :) sorry to head about AF arriving.

@Anny27 you really have had a horrible time, but in so glad you've had lots of support. Most people are amazing but you always get that one insensitive dickhead who you quickly disown after 🤣

@lozzlepop I know, the first 12 weeks dragged so very slowly, I was so sick and didn't want to tell too many people but it was hard for them not to work it out at work! Since that first scan time has flown by. I think it will so more now I feel 99% human again apart from having a baby growing inside me. Some days I'm amazed by it all, others I freak out 😂 we will find out if it's a boy or girl because I'm rubbish with surprises! How are you getting on?

Lozzlepop · 12/12/2019 08:23

Morning ladies!

Not feeling great today, have an unsettled stomach which is usually the start of when things go wrong! So I’m thankful that I’m working from home this morning and have this afternoon off to relax.

@MIW01 oh yeah it’s great to sleep in but it’s an Olympic event to change the sheets 😂

@Lemonysherbet it’s so nice to hear from you! Wow 16 weeks that’s flown in, will you be finding out what you are having or are you team yellow?

@Anny27 I thought they would have done another scan, hope you get on ok today 👌🏻
Oh wow she actually said that 😳😳 not a very good friend, guessing she might not be a friend now!

@orangeloo good luck for SMEP- the acupuncture sounds so lovely and relaxing 😌

@Kiza sorry to hear AF is on her way, but at least you can enjoy a Xmas drink and your tests are just around the corner!

Hope everyone has a great day

Anny27 · 12/12/2019 07:39

@orangeloo our good old friend smep 😂😂 good luck!!

@Lemonysherbet thata lovely that the yucky symptoms are going! And yes I actually told a lot of people, partly because I was off work/wfh for a month! And also because I had to have emergency surgery so had to get someone in my family to pick up my car from hospital as i couldn't drive for 2 days after the anesthetic. And I am really glad we told people.

One "friend" however compared how I must be feeling to her abortion that she had after a fling.....deffo not the same 🙈

@Kiza ah sorry AF is on the way :( but like you said, you had little expectation this month so not as much of a shock I hope xx

Kiza · 12/12/2019 07:13

@Anny27 hope it goes ok at the clinic today and they can give you a few answers as it does seem to be taking quite some time for you.

@Lozzlepop sounds like you're having some classic pregnancy symptoms there! Didn't know restless sleep was one of them though- I'll dread that as love my sleep!

@MIW01 I normally suffer with SAD during winter but this year I splashed out on a vitamin D oral spray and am amazed at how normal I'm feeling most days and evenings with it. Hopefully it'll settle down for you soon

@orangeloo glad you're enjoying the Accupuncture, I need to get back on it in the new year

@Lemonysherbet lovely to hear from you and that the first trimester symptoms are now behind you, I've heard the 2nd trimester can be lovely.

So I started spotting yesterday and getting the usual AF cramps so think I'm out this month (not surprising) on to cycle 16! Going to the hospital Monday for the FSH & LH tests and DP has his appointment for 2nd SA at the end of Jan when we return from our holiday. Just waiting on my TV scan appointment also.

Lemonysherbet · 12/12/2019 06:45

@Anny27 oh in so sorry to hear that, that must have been hard, how are you feeling now? Did you tell many people in real life so you have a good support network? I only told 2 with my MC but one of the people I regretted as she wasn't very supportive which was odd as she usually is! It put me off telling anyone else.

@orangeloo I'm good thank you, looking forward to a couple of weeks off at Christmas and sleeping!

I'm 16 weeks Saturday, stopped throwing up at last and feeling back to my usual self which is very nice.

Sending you all lots of love and good luck 🥰🥰

orangeloo · 11/12/2019 23:03

@Anny27 yes cd7 so smep starts, The great slog haha.

@Lemonysherbet hello, nice to hear from U. How are u getting on?

Had my 4th acupuncture tonight felt very relaxed. Fingers crossed it will do more than just relax me.

Anny27 · 11/12/2019 22:42

@Lozzlepop ahh yes I remember the crazy pregnant dreams haha! I had a scan after my medical miscarriage and before the erpc but haven't had one since as they expect it all to be removed in erpc. I suspect I am just a bit slow to release the hcg.

@MIW01 ahh sorry af is on the way :( Christmas day drinks for you though!

@lemonysherbet nice to hear from you :) (I check the due in June pregnancy board from time to time to see how you are all getting on 💓) I had a pretty rough ride with the miscarriage not going to plan and had a few complications but hopefully all is good now! You must be 15 weeks or so by now!?

Lemonysherbet · 11/12/2019 22:15

Hey ladies,

Hope you don't mind me dropping back in, just wanted to see how everyone is doing?

MIW01 · 11/12/2019 20:43

Sorry to hear you think you missed O this monthe @Kiza tbh I'm usually running on empty all the time due to ME symptoms so this up& down malarkey is actually an improvement! I'd just like a bit more consistency.

So AF was due yesterday and no sign this morning so I took a test @Anny27 and it was BFN and I've just started to spot so AF on her way and me out again this cycle. At least I have my scan next month!

@Lozzlepop we also have a Super King and it's amazing for sleeping in but I can't change the sheets by myself! Grin

Lozzlepop · 11/12/2019 13:17

Hi Ladies,

sorry for the super late reply!

@whatsthecraic91 aww hehe, I'm not much better, I'm 5'4" but we have a superking bed so it's a bloody nightmare. Monday didn't really feel like a
day off to be honest, the baking took longer than expected but I had a happy army of gingerbread men at the end of it lol!

@Anny27 I didn't manage to get one, think i left it too late, ah well theres always next year! Feeling ok, been having crazy dreams, and felt a bit sick last night and this morning, no other symptoms yet really 😬sorry to hear you are still getting positives thats frustrating, did you get the OK from your scan after the procedure?

Hows everyone else doing? I am WFH tomorrow morning then off wreath making with my friends and I can't wait! Will be glad of the lie in too, was up at 2:30 this morning and struggled to get back to sleep!

Anny27 · 11/12/2019 13:05

@orangeloo nearly fertile window for you then! Yep I think I will DTD immediately before we leave for my family home and then the second we get back haha!!

@Kiza how many do are you? Ifs nice for you to have a TWW when there are no expectations so you can relax! Hopefully you did manage the catch, that would be a Christmas present :D

@Lozzlepop glad you are all decked up! Yep I want a stair garland this year, just gotta find a nice one 😊 how are you feeling?

@MIW01 have you tested??

@whatsthecraic91 ahh bet you cant wait ti get away :) how long are you going for?

Back to the EPU tomorrow as still faintly positive....I am confident it's just taking a while to go vs there actually being anything left behind. Time for another delightful transvaginal ultrasound though 😬😬

1990shopefulftm · 10/12/2019 19:28

@Kiza I used to work in a pharmacy and benadryl has very little research on its safety in pregnancy whereas the other over the counter antihistamines they've done more research on so the nhs choices advises you can take them if other things don't work.

If needs be I ll buy a prevalin spray as that's very safe but pricey so would rather go without.

Kiza · 10/12/2019 19:06

@1990shopefulftm I didn't know Benadryl isn't recommended? Is it just that brand or all anti histamines?
@orangeloo thanks for the info, I got it mixed up it's the FSH & LH test but think it looks for the same result in my reserve, fingers crossed I don't have to take the test! 🤞🏼
@MIW01 wow that sounds a bit tough having bursts of great energy with lowness. Hope it gives you the outcome you're hoping for. I've decided to wait for AF on Saturday, I honestly think we missed O this month with DP being away as we could only DTD in the evening the day after a positive opk.

MIW01 · 10/12/2019 18:12

@Kiza just wondered when you're planning on testing or if your AF arrived?

MIW01 · 09/12/2019 21:51

The nutrition programme is to reset my gut microbiome as I think I've had dysbiosis for a while and that may be aggravating symptoms. Interestingly, I woke up pre-alarm feeling pretty good and then within half an hour of being in the office felt like someone pulled the plug on me - completely drained of energy! Thought it must be aunt flow but oh no. No sign of her today, struggled to make it through the day and then within 10 minutes of getting home (train journey is 20 mins) perked right back up again! So I think os as I suspected, the office environment is impacting my health significantly, draining me of energy due to the air con and constantly cold, cramped and noisy conditions! We have no windows that open and are stuffed into a tiny space, don't even get a full desk space each.

orangeloo · 09/12/2019 20:15

@Kiza I haven't had it and disclaimer definitely don't know much about it but I have heard and seen a few specialists recently say it's not that accurate and not the be all and end all. Something like; a persons results could fluctuate depending on the day it's done. So if result is not great please don't panic and lose hope.

1990shopefulftm · 09/12/2019 19:36

I think i m on CD9, I've been away a night and then at a funeral today since AF finished so hoping we might DTD every couple of days from tomorrow. Had allergies this morning so took a capsule but since benadryl isn't recommended in pregnancy I won't be taking it again.

Kiza · 09/12/2019 16:18

@whatsthecraic91 not that I usually wish time away but hope the week goes fast for you! And wow super organised, means you can relax a bit and enjoy the countdown
@MIW01 out of curiosity is this a fertility nutrition programme?

I'm curious has anyone had the anti muller Ian hormone test? If AF arrives for me this weekend then I've got to go and have it on Monday.. just curious by potential results

whatsthecraic91 · 09/12/2019 09:05

Morning all! Monday again, I am on the countdown to my holidays on Saturday 😎 currently 22 and sunny where I’m heading ☀️ Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I sat last night and wrapped all my Christmas presents so I am officially ready! Tesco food shop booked for the 23rd too! I’m never usually this organised but with going away I had to be and it feels good!

@Anny27 oh no! Definitely baby make before you go and as soon as you get home!

@Kiza glad you had a great time!

@Lozzlepop aww changing bedsheets kills me too, I always make DP help me! I am like a little Christmas elf, I’m about the height of one too barely 5ft 😂 enjoy your day off and baking sounds lovely 😊

@MIW01 ooo hopefully that’s a good sign for you if it’s unusual for you! Finger crossed for an early Christmas present 🤞🏼

MIW01 · 08/12/2019 22:48

Sorry to hear that @whatsthecraic91 but that's good to know not tracking has helped with your mental wellbeing.

That's exactly what I'm thinking @Anny27! Sorry to hear about the ovulation timing issues!

@orangeloo that's 1 of the reasons I'm leaving vitex now. I've heard you have to be absolutely sure it's a progesterone/ovulation/leuteal phase balance issue otherwise it can make things worse!

Brilliant tactic @Kiza I must remember that one. Actually minimal symptoms today, just back ache but pretty sure she'll be here tomorrow or Tuesday. I think you're right and a much needed break will be a welcome rest.

That's just it @Lozzlepop I'm not a drinker but I love my mulled wine and cheese at Christmas and no way am I missing that unless I am 100% preggers! Enjoy the Christmas baking.

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend? So AF sumptoms have subsided and I've experienced a huge energy surge today unlike anything I've experienced for long time . . . And this never happens right before AF is due. My energy levels are usually on the floor this time of the month! I am hoping that I'm feeling the benefits of the nutrition programme and that things will only get better as I keep going with it as I am pretty sure AF is due either tomorrow or Tuesday. So fingers crossed I have healed myself to some extent!

Lozzlepop · 08/12/2019 20:30

@ValidUser that makes sense hun! At least you have a plan and it sounds like a solid one and I know you’ll be eager to get the ball rolling now!

@MIW01 thank you! I’ve not left the house today and I think it’s done me the world of good! I’m sorry to hear AF is on the way, a little break to reset and refocus will be good, I really enjoyed our time not TTC and just allowing ourselves to eat and drink what and when we wanted!

@whatsthecraic91 I am starting to feel a bit better although I just changed the bedsheets and now I’m wiped 😂 wow check you, like a little Christmas elf ☺️

@Anny27 yes we got the tree and all the other festive bits up yesterday, I fancy a garland for the stairs so that’s my mission tomorrow! That’s lovely you have a little bauble for baby, make sure it’s gets a lovely prominent position ❤️ As @orangeloo suggested just get DTD before you head away for Xmas ☺️

@Kiza glad to hear the work party was fun, sounds like it was better than mine 😂😂 we were just at a restaurant so the wild was my oyster 😂 😂

I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, I’m feeling very smug with myself that I booked tomorrow off and am planning a day of Xmas baking ☺️

Kiza · 08/12/2019 14:12

The work Christmas do was tons of fun and I just had 1 drink and then drank water in a wine glass so no-one noticed. Busy doing lots of cooking and baking today for the week ahead, really feel like we didn't catch my ovulation this cycle due to DP working away so haven't even really been noticing my body or counting down my TWW- which is a refreshing change!
@Anny27 that's so frustrating! I agree with orangeloo and try to DTD before you leave, the one cycle you'd probably like to O slightly early!

@MIW01 how are you today? Still feel like AF is coming? Having a break helps, it helped us reset a bit

@Lozzlepop they were serving tea at your Christmas do? Wow I'd have loved that!
