@whatsthecraic91 I usually try and take my temps between 6-7 and make sure that I have been asleep for atleast 3 hours before taking them and they seem pretty accurate :)

@orangeloo definitley will try it :D

@Larrydavid hope you and baby are doing well ❤

@Lozzlepop thinking of you today ❤

orangeloo · 30/12/2019 19:10

@whatsthecraic91 you'll get used to the app I'm sure, my brain has taken on so much info since ttc haha.

Yes maybe drop temping all month for a month then @Anny27 and see if it helps you stress less.

whatsthecraic91 · 30/12/2019 17:00

@Anny27 @orangeloo great you’ll be my go to people now if I have questions 😂 I don’t like the app so far it’s quite complicated but I’m sure I’ll get used to it! II’ll just have to limit my fluid intake before bed as I get up for a pee nearly every night but it’s usually early on so hopefully it won’t affect it too much!

Larrydavid · 30/12/2019 16:24

@Lozzlepop so sad to read about your loss. Sending lots of internet hugs ❤️

Anny27 · 30/12/2019 15:36

@Lozzlepop no worries, we are here if you want to rant or moan. The miscarriage/ pregnancy loss boards really help me as well, I have a read of them/post on there from time to time xxx

@whatsthecraic91 I temp and use femometer :) really helps me to know that I have definitley ovulated and means I 100% know when period is due :)

@orangeloo omg I should totally stop temping after ovulation as it stresses me out and I get bad sleep waiting to see if its dropped or remaind high!

@cocobell19 i thought it would happen straight away for us too! We conceived in 3 months but sadly miscarried so this is my first cycle ttc after miscarriage :)

orangeloo · 30/12/2019 15:29

@whatsthecraic91 thanks hun. Oh that will be good timing I'm sure they will give you day 1 and 21 blood tests as a first step. I temp before and after Ov to confirm Ov then stop as it's just adds to my stress and disappointment if you get a dip late in tww. plus I don't want to have to wake up early at weekends to do it. It's definitely a valuable tool though and I would 100% recommend temping.

@Lozzlepop I'm so sorry and sad to hear this. Thinking of you Thanks

Lozzlepop · 30/12/2019 15:18

@Anny27 thanks so much hun ❤️ I’m hoping by knowing things might kick start over the next few days 🤞🏻

Anny27 · 30/12/2019 15:10

@lozzlepop very similar to my dates 💓 even after 3 weeks of be knowing nothing happened naturally which was frustrating! If you want to DM me about the surgical procedure then feel free - in hindsight, despite my medical anxiety, it wasnt a bad option!

Lozzlepop · 30/12/2019 14:58

@whatsthecraic91 thank you hun! I know roll on 2020!

@Anny27 thank you! It really has been the worst year 💔 I should be 8wks 1 day but baby measuring at 6 weeks 1 day. I think I’m going to wait and see if things happen naturally this time- I took such a horrible reaction to the medicates which DP told the nurse so not even sure that would be an option now.

Anny27 · 30/12/2019 14:44

@lozzlepop I was just thinking about you today actually! I am so so sorry for your loss :( 2019 has been the absolute cruelest year for you 💓💓💓💓💓

do the EPU have to rescan before they can offer treatment or is the baby over the size threshold where they can offer treatment right away?

Lozzlepop · 30/12/2019 14:23

@cocobell19 thank you so much lovely! A big welcome to the thread the ladies here are just the most lovely and supportive bunch ☺️

whatsthecraic91 · 30/12/2019 14:23

@lozzlepop my heart breaks for you 💔, so sorry to hear this. Please look after yourself. We are all here to listen if you need to talk, this thread has such a great bunch of ladies! Here’s to 2020, I hope it brings all of us some luck ☘️

cocobell19 · 30/12/2019 14:17

@Lozzlepop so sorry to hear your news. Hopefully 2020 will be much better for you xx

cocobell19 · 30/12/2019 14:15

Thanks all! I know, I was hormonal contraception for around 10 years and just sort of assumed that as soon as I stopped taking it I would be pregnant! Naive or what lol. I am using the Ovia app to help me track my cycles, currently 4th cycle and in the fertile period at the moment so the dreaded two week wait is just around the corner!

Lozzlepop · 30/12/2019 14:13

Hi ladies

I just wanted to quickly pop on and let you know we didn’t get good news at the scan today, unfortunately there was no heartbeat so we have decided to take a break and wait for our referral and see what answers the tests throw up- maybe this just isn’t to be for us. I can’t tell you how glad I will be to see the back of 2019. Hope everyone has some nice plans for NYE xx

1990shopefulftm · 30/12/2019 14:09

@cocobell19
It's not silly at all. I ve not been on hormonal contraception for years so thought it d just happen without much thought.

1990shopefulftm · 30/12/2019 14:02

@Anny27 28 days. Must have randomly ovulated a bit earlier.

whatsthecraic91 · 30/12/2019 13:31

@cocobell19 welcome! The more the merrier!! Not one bit silly, it’s drilled into us from a young age that if you even think about having sex you will get pregnant! I will never use a form of hormonal contraception again in my life they are evil!

@orangeloo so sorry, I also thought cycle 12 would be it because it’s cycle 12!! It’s still early so I’ll keep everything crossed for you! 🤞🏼 My GP appointment will be on CD16 so hopefully I can get the test this month and won’t have to wait!

I have decided to try temping this month as DP isn’t keen on the preseed idea 👎🏼 I’ve downloaded Femometer FYI it is on special offer for £28 for a one year subscription & I have ordered the Bluetooth thermometer which will be here tomorrow! It will be interesting to see if it confirms if I am ovulating or not. Sat and put 1 year of data into it the app - can you tell work is quiet 😂

Any other tempers out there?

orangeloo · 30/12/2019 12:59

Congratulations @MIW01 lovely news and wedding will be a lovely distraction from ttc life.

@whatsthecraic91 sorry about your bfn I'm 10DPO and tested this morn also bfn I was so hopeful. I know it's still early but it was an early test and the cynic in me says it's been a year why is this month going to be any different. I'm so fed up too and I feel your frustration. Great you've got an appointment booked. You should get the blood test 7 days after you ovulate. A lot of gp's just say say day 21 regardless but result will be useless if not done at the right time. You know better than them when you ovulate so book the 21 day blood test accordingly.

Thanks for checking in lovely & Hope your getting ready for smep @Anny27

Welcome @cocobell19 it's Not silly at all, we all hope and expect to fall pg quickly I think and why wouldn't we. when so many do and we are brainwashed for years about contraception. Keep going and distractions are a great ttc survival tool.

cocobell19 · 30/12/2019 10:50

Hi all, just wondering if i can join the thread? TTC number 1, on to month 4 - sounds so silly but I just thought it would happen straight away! Hope everyone had a nice Christmas x

whatsthecraic91 · 30/12/2019 10:44

I have my GP appointment booked for the 14th! I’m hoping they offer me the 21 day test! I ovulate different every month ranging from CD14-17 so what day would I get the test?

Anny27 · 30/12/2019 09:56

@MIW01 it's so fun saying fiance isnt it haha! I used to love just staring at my ring when we first got engaged 😊😊

@whatsthecraic91 ahhh what a rubbish first day back present :(

@1990shopefulftm how long are your cycles normally?

Hows everyone else - @orangeloo @Lottiepink ?

whatsthecraic91 · 30/12/2019 08:56

@MIW01 aww that’s so cute!! 😂

Well AF is here to ruin my Monday & back to work too - how shit!

MIW01 · 29/12/2019 22:03

Thank you everyone for your congratulations! It's pretty overwhelming but in a good way of course. We just keep doing cheesy things like saying to each other, "Good morning/night . . . Fiance!" All silly but so much fun! It's so exciting!

@1990shopefulftm sorry to hear about you BFN, fingers cross you get a BFP next cycle.

Sorry to hear you are fed up @whatsthecraic91 I don't blame you, it is so frustrating.

Levy to hear of your announcement to family @Lozzlepop

Have a lovely time in Cape Town @Kiza

1990shopefulftm · 29/12/2019 16:42
