TTC First Baby Thread 23

Sunday night again already!! The thought of doing 5 days at work is making me sad 😓 it will be good to get back into routine though!

CD7 and I’m feeling really positive this month! I’ve been healthy eating and no alcohol since NY and walking everyday, I usually do zero exercise so this is amazing for me to have kept up for the last 5 days 😂 I’m hoping to loose about 10lbs, I’m not really overweight but I want to feel better about myself 😊 also looking forward to my GP appointment on the 14th 😅

@orangeloo yes you are right I'm better not knowing, I just had it in my head though, never been that late before ever 😬
So sorry you've had a bad day, I think that's why I needed a little bit of a break, but on NYE I said to my DH this is our year, one way or another we will get there, made me feel all positive again 😊 hopefully it's all our year!

@MIW01 aww gosh, so sorry to read that, how awful for you. Did your sister know you had been trying too? It's really not fair sometimes is it, hope it's not caused a huge argument in the family!

@cocobell19 and @1990shopefulftm I too was naive and thought all I had to do was look at DP without contraception and I would get pregnant. Especially as my family are all fertility factories!

And on this note, my sister has just announced that she has fallen pregnant accidentally, the father and family want nothing to do with the child and she is deciding whether or not to have an abortion! I then got really upset and told her and Mum about my potential miscarriage. That's made for some great festive family drama!

@orangeloo sorry you think AF is on the way :( when you know she is coming you just want her to arrive so you can move on!!

@whatsthecraic91 yep I love my cat but he is a pain sometimes haha! No I think the occasional day doesn't matter but I try to make sure I always take my temps around the time of ovulation as you will notice the temp rise and know exactly what dpo you are then :) the year mark must be hard to hit:( xxx

@Lottiepink nice to see you back:) ahh could have been a CP! I am cycle day 9 today so similar cycles this month

@orangeloo sorry you’re feeling down, I always get like that when AF is here, even more so this time as it was the 1 year mark for me to! You just always think it’s never going to happen but it will happen for us!! 2020 will be our year 😊😀🤞🏼

I was really feeling down and frustrated last night and this morning. Officially tried for a year and not a hint of BFP. I know af is imminent and tested again this morn to be sure (bfn) as I'm having an aesthetic treatment tomo but can't if I was PG. All tests so far show we are fine, just waiting on a tubal patentcy test. Does anyone ever feel like you just can't go through another month of this, the disappointment, trying, OPK's timed intercourse, tww only for it to lead to disappointment again. Ugh! It's soul destroying. On a positive note, I'm glad it's Friday!

Sorry I've not been checking in, been so busy and kind of felt like I needed a break 😊

I've just had af, cd6 today, had a strange cycle, my apps were telling me to test over Xmas as I was late, ended up being around 5 days, very unusual for me to be that late, but we were away with family and had no tests with me 😂 probably for the best I suppose, but then I always wonder what if I was and i had chemical 😬

@whatsthecraic91 28 days, well last month was 26 for the first time which was hopefully a random fluke.
Well done for the walk in the rain, takes motivation to do any exercise in the bad weather.

@Anny27 😂 oh no! Cats are so funny I would love one but our landlord says no 😒 if you miss a day of temping does it really affect your chart?

@orangeloo I hate that, when you just know it’s not your month 👎🏼 Hopefully she shows up soon so you can get started again!

@1990shopefulftm depends on how long your cycle is, when I was doing them I started on day 10! Same here I’ve been really good today, drinking water, not eating crap and I went for a walk after work in the rain (not the run I said I was going to do) better than nothing I suppose 😂

when do you normally start opk's? . i m on day 7 so wondering if starting tomorrow is a bit soon.

making a conscious effort to have a better diet (i've never eaten 5 a day until now) and drink more water this month and started taking vitamin D again as i've had a deficiency in the past i figured it wouldn't do any harm.

13 dpo and waiting for AF (due tomorrow) as I don't think this is my month. Spotting and had some light cramps yesterday ugh, just let me know and get it over with please Aunt Flo.

Yeah your temps seem normal :) also I learnt that it's not the actual temperature that matters, it's the rise after ovulation that indicates it :)

@orangeloo @whatsthecraic91 this morning my cat made this crashing noise in the spare room at 6.30am so I shot up to see and then obviously couldn't take my temps this morning as I had ran out of bed and got myself all worked up Haha!

Yesterday was 36.42 and today was 36.22, was just making sure as I have no clue what I’m going yet 😂

@whatsthecraic91 yes as beautifully answered by @Anny27 you will also get days where it is messed up for one reason or another (lack of sleep, wake up time, illness etc etc) don't panic as long as your consistent enough to get a full picture on the whole and confirm Ov it will do what you need.

For past few days mine were
36.19
36.21
35.93

Then once I have ovulated it goes from about 36.0/36.2 to 36.5/36.6 and then stays above about 36.6 untill period (when I was pregnant it got up to 36.7 and stayed like that)

@Anny27 @orangeloo the temping experts! I have questions! My temperature was 0.2 degrees lower this morning, does that matter? Also I was quite restless but never once got out of bed or was fully awake just snoozing a while. Would that affect it? I took it at the exact same time as I have an alarm set to do it.

@Anny27 well it took about 3 minutes but it did say the first measurement can take that long so hopefully not as long in the morning! Surprisingly easy too, just put it back on the side until I was ready to get up, the bluetooth feature is great! Very convenient!

Starting my exercise tomorrow after work! Going to try running to the end of our road and back 😅 wonder how long I’ll keep this up for 😂

Cycle day 7 today so might be ovulating in a week or so, not sure what cycles will be like after miscarriage so will keep tracking and looking out for signs

Off out for a walk and pub lunch with some friends they have two kids and another one due in feb between them. Not sure why I arranged this now, haha and I know the dreaded question of 'when us two?' will come. Inclined to just be honest ish now and say we are working on it.
