Hi

Right that's it. I've been brave enough to start a new thread to look forward to a summer baby next year. I really don't think I am going to be successful for the spring. But at least if we fall now, hopefully we can have summer 2008 off to enjoy the sunshine.
Does anyone care to join me?

Libralady xx

Oh, forgot to ask - I'm still struggling with terminology: what is AF, BD, BFP? Sorry to be a complete numpty

Roskva · 31/08/2007 19:12

Moodymoo, I find that seduction works better than asking dh to perform on demand , and I have to say, I find it more fun too

It took nearly 3 years of trying to conceive dd, so don't despair. I hope it happens quicker than that, for everyone, though.

tigerschick · 31/08/2007 12:57

AFAIK seven is a lot.
Not been down that route personally but people tend to talk about 2 or 3, not 7.

welshprincess · 31/08/2007 12:44

7 ivf cycles. am i naive (sp) or is that a lot? glad to know that after all that it just sometimes happens.
lissielou and missush- happy bd! you know you loveit!!

tigerschick · 31/08/2007 12:42

I think that most people on here find the monthly threads a bit depressing, moving from month to month ad nauseum. At least here there is a wider window of opportunity.

lissielou · 31/08/2007 12:38

thanks, ive started avoiding the month by month threads. always wanted a summer baby anyway

tigerschick · 31/08/2007 12:30

Hi lissie

Looks like you are coming up to the 'busy' time in your cycle. Good luck for a Summer baby.

Doh!

I copied and pasted that from another thread and it didn't copy the s!
So it should look like this:

Hi all

Just got back from M&T group and learned a tale that I thought I'd share with you:

There is a lady who goes to the group who has a ds, turned 2 last week, and a dd, 1 in December. We were chatting about children, ttc etc. She told me that she had seven failed IVF treatments over 8 years. They decided to give it a rest for a bit after the seventh one and within a couple of months she got pg naturally! Then, no sooner had she had her ds than she started trying again and she got pg naturally after 4 months.
A success story that made me so I thought it might make you too.

Hope everyone is happy and well.

Morning All, I am getting to that part of the cycle where much BDing is required!!

According to the babycentre.co.uk ovulation calender my fertile time will be between Sunday and Friday (nothing like a being specific ) so I am going to be checking my cm and getting down to business!!!

The only snag with this plan is that dh works night shifts (7pm-3am) so any BDing needs to be done when he gets in before dd wakes up at 6.30!!! The novelty of sleepy sex wears off v. quickly!

welshprincess · 31/08/2007 08:09

Morning ladies

I agree that it seems nicer over here as it is a little quieter so easier to keep up with than the September thread. I used to keep up with the monthly threads but my RL was non-existent then Sorry to see so many low CD numbers (I've moved everyone on a day - hope they are all correct) Summer bambinos all 'round hey?

Welcome to anyone who has joined since I last posted, it's nice to have new people to chat to as everyone seems to have read or heard slightly different advice and, let's face it, in this game, knowing lots can only be a good thing

Good luck everyone.

welcome shreksmissus - of course you can join us - we seem to be a smaller thread than the September one, tend to dip in and out of that one. Bit easier to keep up with everyone on this thread I think.
Don't let 9 cycles out you off - it too me 10 months last year - happened when I finally stopped expecting it to happen - typical!Dreading it taking so long this time though - will go mad if it does - am halfway there now .
Have you been doing any monitoring with opk's or BBT?might help you identify if and when you are ovulating which I am sure is half of the battle in this game.

moodymoo · 30/08/2007 20:44

libralady , if it had to come at least it has come early and you will soon be back to trying again IYSWIM.
got another high day on my monitorso am hoping that dh will carry out his duties later , best do cos he didn't last night, whats the point in peeing on sticks every blooming day if he is going to refuse to put out on the bloody high day! Result - one huge argument and 2 very tired grumpy people today! Hope everyone else is having better luck with their dh's . Think mine still believes that the stork brings babies

Sorry to hear that, Moodymoo, that must be devastating. Here's to hoping tonight's the night

moodymoo · 29/08/2007 19:02

Evening all - nice to see some more people joining us. Am chceking in now as planning on a spot of baby making later - got a high on my clearblue monitor today so intend to make the most of it .Have given dh plenty of warning so he has no excuses. .
Roskva - yes it does mean child number 2 - it takes awhile to get the hang of all the abbreviations - took me ages. I am not sure what to put as I am trying for my second baby in theory, I lost my first baby when I was 21 weeks pg - feel's wrong saying that I am trying for my first baby and I don't want to mislead or confuse people saying I am trying for my second - will have to give it some thought and see what I am comfortable with . oing to resuce tea now which I have just burned.....

Roskva · 29/08/2007 17:30

OK, updated to include me:

Looneytune - CD7 of 2nd cycle ttc #2
Moodymoo - CD11 of 2nd cycle
MissusH - CD12 of 2nd cycle ttc #2
Roskva - CD16 of 1st cycle ttc #2 (I assume that last bit means child no 2?, sorry I'm a newcomer to this)

Anyway, had lots of fun earlier this week on what I calculated to be my fertile days

MissusH · 29/08/2007 11:47

oooh thanks for the advice looneytune - didn't know that...

I'll save my pee & sticks for a more productive time (pun intended )

Roskva - welcome CD's are Cycle Days. CD1 is the first day of your cycle (the day period starts). Copy the list and add yourself!

MissusH - welcome What CD are you? We need more added to our list I did my first test with the stick and then read the manual and it said I should wait for 2 natural cycles before their tests will be accurate. So, I'm no longer bothering this month as 2nd cycle - will do it next month instead. Just thought I'd mention in case you didn't know this like me
