If you are in a lot of pain go to a&e- there is a small chance it's ectopic. I had one two years ago and even though I was seem promptly (im nhs staff) id ruptured and was bleeding internally. The worst they will do if it's not is confirm it's not a viable pregnancy and give you painkillers and send you home.. the best that everything is ok. Either way you will probably get a scan so can find out what's happening. And they can see before 6 weeks what's going on- I was exactly 6 weeks at my ectopic and had a private scan at 5w4d for my second to be sure she was in the right place. Too early for a heart beat but could see the sac and little bean :)

@Courtney555 I'm honestly fine, My bleeding is so bad, I feel dizzy and sick still, I will make a appointment at the doctors tomorrow x

@mrsmummy90 they unfortunately won't scan before six weeks, not even on the NHS as its too early to see anything.
It's so frustrating wanting an answer and not knowing. With my chemical I was getting faint tests and negatives for a week before af arrived, I was gutted but also relieved to finally be able to put it to rest and move on to next month, as sad as it was.
@xblx I'm so sorry your going through this, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Dang that's a pretty long wait! I'm currently on Calander day 67 with no af 😩 but no BFP in sight I just wish she'd show already so I can move on 😩

Ok a quick up date, I couldn't get a appointment but spoke to a doctor he wasn't worried he told me to stop testing and try again in 2 weeks if no af, he will get me a scan! X

All taken in 10 minutes, I don't know when I'm due on I had bleeding 24th of September and spotting on 14 of October, and nothing since, I will be phoning doctors tomorrow but I don't feel right at all, I know they should be dark now? But I also sure I'm pregnant I feel sick dizzy even my nipples have gone darker also my Sense of smell is through the roof!
I will see what they say tomorrow x

I've had a look back and they haven't got darker so I'm wondering if they are all evap lines? None are very convincing lines and HCG rises every 48-72 hours so they would be obvious by now for most if it was a successful pregnancy

What day was your period actually due?
When did you take the first test?
Do the lines show within 10 minutes?

I would say though that if your feeling sick and dizzy to call your gp tomorrow and let them know your getting faint lines and for how long because sometimes ectopic or molar pregnancies can present like this. If you get any bad cramps please call out of hours immediately

I agree it is really odd you are getting such faint lines for such a long time OP. Normally I would say if the line doesn't get stronger then it probably isn't going to be successful. The lines have to get darker to reflect the hormones levels rising surely? I can see why it is driving you potty. Honestly I would leave it a full 5 days now and then test using a brand you have photographed so that you have something to compare it to. Perhaps using different brands is also confusing things? Good luck!

Phone first thing tomorrow. You need an emergency appointment. You have had long term levels of HCG and need a blood test with immediate effect to confirm or rule out pregnancy. They have "blood test" sessions every day, they'll just get you to turn up there. You'll have a concrete result in 24hrs.

(That was all said in a stern mother hen voice, you phone them up and you don't take no for an answer)

@xblx but why wait? I booked myself for a blood test and gynaecologist tomorrow, as spending more nerves, worries and money on the testing with HPT that turn to be negative or faint is false economy and just affects your health and even the health of perhaps the baby( babies) that you may carry XX

I'm booked in for a Hysteroscopy next month because I have been suffering from heavy periods and very long period for about a year, I Hurd cancer can get picked up but rare in pregnancy test! I just feel down from it all
