@Missgoldilocks I would ask for the oil too, really pester them for it. I'm excited for you now, 9th July is only next week! 😬☺️ xx

Gems7 · 02/07/2020 07:39

@Missgoldilocks yes I know exactly what it is now, I thought you were just having blood work done etc I didn't realise you were having your tubes flushed. My sisters friend had it done and she did say it was extremely painful, I also know somebody who was booked into have it done but that was before covid. It's pretty common so surely can't be that bad.. at least you will have that piece of mind knowing that everything is okay in there!
@Annny27 Defo back in the game, I had the worst left sided ovulation pains (I assume?) that I have had in months last night, only for about an hour but I had to take some paracetamol, usually I never take painkillers with any sort of pain I just get through it, then this morning I have just got a flashing smiley.. so something is going on in there!! Only CD10 today though and I used to OV on CD15 so will either OV earlier or have days of flashing smileys!
What CD are you now?

@PrettyTulip @Laur89 hope you girls are okay xx

Missgoldilocks · 01/07/2020 10:19

@Gems7 also can't get the oil one done because its an old fashioned way of doing it with xray lol but when I see the doctor I will ask him if there's anyway he can use the oil substance instead

@anny27 no they don't give general and if you can't take the pain then you have to get it but it's more money and so I'm going to firm it lol get to dtd girl!! Xx

Annny27 · 01/07/2020 09:48

Morning :) cd15, no peak yet but lots of ewcm so imagine its gonna be soon next few days!

@missgoldilocks yeah I have heard that about that procedure. Fingers crossed!!! Do they not use any kind of anesthetic then? Hopefully will all be fine!

@Gems7 yayyy you are back in the game! It can be totally different can't it. We conceived after 4 months and now we are on month 7 of this try so it really varies each time!

Missgoldilocks · 01/07/2020 09:44

@Gems7 I'm hoping you get that spurt of fertility some people get after a MC fingers crossed 🤞 🤞
Interesting isn't it? Basically it clears out your tubes so if there was any left over stuff in the way it clears it, or if there is like light scarring the liquid can push it through. BUT annoyingly the oil substance is the one with higher pregnancy rate afterwards but I'm getting the water one I found out yesterday, which is still good because its flushing out your system and stoll a higher rate of pregnancy after but the oil based stuff for some reason works better. It might not make me more fertile some people still don't get pregnant after but there is a chance. If you Google hycosy make you more fertile? There's some info on it. At least I'll know either way if my womb and tubes are A okay 👌
So when are you due to test? Xx

Gems7 · 30/06/2020 18:43

@Missgoldilocks how does it make you more fertile afterwards? 👀 that's interesting isn't it..
What do they do?
I really hope it's not too painful for you, I thought I could handle pain until I attempted that MVA under local anaesthetic 😖 fuck me that was painful! You're a tough cookie though hun, you've got this!!
Yes we DTD last night, fingers crossed it doesn't take another 9 cycles (or longer) this time 🤞🏻
Xxx

Missgoldilocks · 30/06/2020 14:28

@Gems7 so glad you can get back to it now! Did you manage to dtd last night? Yes it is pricey 😬 but so worth it just to know plus it makes you more fertile for 3 months afterwards so that's always a plus. I'm booked in for the 9th July 11.15am I'm soooo scared but so happy they said my partner can come in with me! I'm going to have to firm this pain because otherwise they'll need to do it under general but I'm not paying more for that!! Xxx

Gems7 · 29/06/2020 18:43

@Missgoldilocks they did a chlamydia test on me in hospital 😂 it's standard apparently but when I saw if on my file I was like WHAAAATTT!

CD7 for me now 😃 I officially started using my OPK's today, felt kind of weird! Should really DTD tonight but I really can't be bothered 😂😂😂 I'm going to have to get back into it though!

£600 seems pricey, but if it helps you in anyway then it's worth every penny, if you can afford it then pay it, I would!! XxX

Missgoldilocks · 29/06/2020 18:36

@Gems7 yep everything you said basically lol

@Annny27 😂😂😂😂 they have no idea lmao!!

How are we all? Af started Sunday for me as predicted, I rang up the fertility clinic and it's going to be £600. Also I've been looking at what women say about the pain and I'm pretty damn scared! going to get my mum to give me her hardcore cocodamol before hand 😂 they'll ring me tomorrow because I have to do a chlamdiya test first because if I do have it they can make it spread to the tubes apparently (which I don't) lol

Annny27 · 28/06/2020 11:30

@Missgoldilocks @Gems7 totally! I get jealous/ upset when people talk so blasé about how quick and easy they fall pregnant like it is such a joke to them. They often say "we wish we had a few more months of trying hahaha"

No you don't you idiots 🙄🙄🙄🙄🤣🤣🤣

Gems7 · 27/06/2020 15:29

@Missgoldilocks I must have read it wrong, I thought he was supporting you. Men are so shit at times. Mines the same, he's so laid back and just takes everything in his stride but it's like talking to a stone cold brick wall at times and we can clash because I'm so open and emotional. Don't think they will ever understand what we go through emotionally and physically each month, it's draininnnng.
and don't ever apologise, you aren't moaning and even if you were so what! It's totally fine. I think we have all had it pretty shit to be honest us girls on here, we have all had to struggle in one way or an other and it's not fair.
Agree with both you girls about the low mood, I don't think I've ever had depression either, but sometimes I can just sit and burst into tears, full on sobbing my heart out because of what's happened.
None of us deserve this crap!

Missgoldilocks · 27/06/2020 13:16

@anny27 I think it's on par if not depression itself I'll be honest, and no one really understands unless they've been through it. Even now when people say oh I fell straight away I'm just sort of like wow you will never know what this is like that's why you're so blasé about it all. We will get there babes we all will! Xxx

Annny27 · 27/06/2020 12:59

@missgoldilocks same I am totally down. I have never had depression before and even though this isn't depression, its the lowest I have ever felt. Its just such a hopeless time for us all!

Missgoldilocks · 27/06/2020 12:47

@anny27 I'm okay :) I knew it was coming and that made it easy to deal with I woke up angry because pms lol but yeah the test will put my mind at rest and then hopefully tubes are fine and I can just know it'll take time! How are you feeling??

Sorry to all you ladies @Gems7 @PrettyTulip @Annny27 if I'm always moaning I've been really down these past few months so not the best to talk to lol but I think I'm coming out the other end so fingers crossed my tubes are okay xx

Annny27 · 27/06/2020 11:13

@Missgoldilocks I think the private tests will give you peace of mind :D and not toooooo expensive! Sorry AF is on the way. Its such a deflated moment seeing the brown or red blood 😪

@Gems7 so we conceived in 4 months with our pregnancy and so didn't see a GP before obviously and now it has been 7 months since our miscarriage and the GP won't refer us until 12 months. They say if you have gotten pregnant then they won't see you until 12 months after that pregnancy doesn't matter if it was successful or not! (6 months for you maybe as you are over 35 aren't you?

@msunflower probably best off starting your own thread lovely :) we are in 12 months now and probably not the most happy and optimistic people to be around. Good luck in your journey and I hope you find some new ttc ladies who have just started their journey too :)

msunflower · 27/06/2020 11:06

I'm about 7DPO and I'm pretty sure I have just had implantation bleeding. My period isn't due for just under two weeks time and it was only a small bit of darker/brown diluted blood. Got some cramping now and feeling a bit nauseous. I was feeling a bit nauseous the last couple of afternoons but I thought it was my mind playing tricks on me. I also just feel a bit different, none of these symptoms are PMS symptoms for me. This is my first cycle of ttc, I'm guessing this is a good sign? Earliest I can test is in six days time!

Missgoldilocks · 27/06/2020 10:46

@Gems7 I've started brown spotting which always happens before af so it'll be here today/tomorrow. I'm scared to do this test but I think it's best if it's done for peace of mind! He hasn't been supportive at all I don't think, it took me having a massive cry for him to listen and even then he was looking at his phone and didn't even hug me. When I told him af would come he said life goes on... Which is why I had a massive cry and explained everything to him. He's just not the emotional type he doesn't mean to be horrible that's why I explained to him. I woke up in a bad mood today pms lol but I had an hour walk listening to motivational speeches and I feel better xx
£200 is a steal, just for the tube test they charge £550 here and there abouts x

Gems7 · 27/06/2020 09:11

@Missgoldilocks I'm so sorry it's not happening for you yet lovely 😔 i know what you mean about having to stay away sometimes. I deleted Facebook a few weeks ago and I feel so much better for it.
We are going to give it another 3-4 months of trying again and if it doesn't happen then we are going to pay privately too. I have found a clinic to check all blood work and tubes etc. I know my ovaries are okay (no cysts etc) because they scanned me in hospital, it's around £200 which I don't think is bad. I have also had another clinic recommended for IVF (£2,500) which I don't think is that bad (if it came to that.)
Sometimes it's good to get it all out and have a good cry though, your OH sounds really supportive, are you having your usual pre AF cramps?

@Annny27 my period was just like normal, no more heavy than usual. First day was heavy like always then it has tapered off to barely anything now so today should be my last day and that makes it 5 days just like always. I can get TTC again now! Thank god!
Just out of interest have you spoken to your gp about TTC since your MC? Just wondering if they will make any referrals etc to fertility clinics if you have had a MC or not because you have technically been pregnant..

Hope all you girls are okay xxx

Missgoldilocks · 26/06/2020 10:00

hiya, I've just been taking a break from mumsnet, even though you get a lot of support here I think it just makes it play on my mind more. I had a huge cry a couple of nights ago to my OH and told him literally everything that was on my mind. It made me feel so much better, he was as supportive as he could be I suppose lol but just getting it out helped. Anyway we've decided that if my period comes Sunday which it will we will pay privately to get the hycosy test to put my mind at rest. But I have felt a lot calmer already which feels really good for the first time in a year.
How is everyone else?

@PrettyTulip it's pretty fucking shit

PrettyTulip · 25/06/2020 13:31

@Annny27 hello lovely.
Absolutely nothing from me 😂 I had the worst cramps just underneath my stomach area for a few days (felt like pulled muscles?) but I don't know the correct term for what area that is and I have no idea what it was or if it meant anything. I've also had lots of CM but don't think that means anything with me either 🤣

Welcome @Vea1601 !! I've been trying 18 months too so I completely understand your frustrations .. we're all hear to support one another tho and we deffo won't judge you for getting annoyed or jealous at others!!

My follow up of the original appointment I had in November (that's been cancelled twice already) has now been scheduled as a phone call where the hospital will liaise with each department and then let me know if they want me to have further screening etc. Bit weird but guess I save on parking costs haha x

Annny27 · 25/06/2020 13:22

@Vea1601 I am concerned that I am turning bitter haha. When someone announces a first month try pregnancy I am like 🙄🙄🤣🤣

@Gems7 how's AF? Lighter or heavier than usual?

@PrettyTulip any sign?

@Missgoldilocks any sign of AF?

Vea1601 · 24/06/2020 10:28

@Annny27 yep. December 2018 I had my implant out and started ttc in January 2019. I work as a nurse - lots of family planning. And see ltos of people falling pregnant at the drop of a hat. Whilst taking the pill etc. Baffles me how I can't fall pregnant dtd all the time no contraception. And someone can get so 'lucky' doing it once whilst in the pill!

Annny27 · 24/06/2020 10:20

@gems7 yep dtd isn't as exciting and fun as it used to be haha! Oh I am glad your period has arrived, I know the feeling of relief ot your cycle coming back!!

@Vea1601 sorry you find yourself here for the long run as well! We came off contraception in June 2019 and s few friends have fallen pregnant since 🙄

Gems7 · 24/06/2020 07:09

@Vea1601 we all know how that feels hun don't worry. My sister caught really quickly before me. It's really tough. I was using the clearblue digital advance OPKs also before my MC and I have some in the cupboard ready and waiting to use again next cycle. Good luck to you this month xx

AF is officially here 🎉
She came yesterday, 4 weeks and 2 days after my surgery so hopefully my cycles will get back to normal quickly.
CD2 today, I am back in the game ladies! Xx

Vea1601 · 23/06/2020 07:54

Morning ladies. I've just read through the entire thread though I'm new to the forum. 18 months ttc. This month used the clear blue digital advanced ovulation kit. 8dpo. Woke up with the worst sensitive teeth this morning. I'm so bad for symptom spotting but for some reason I think that's a positive sign after googling ha! I've been feeling really defeated recently. A friends starting to ttc and I know she'll catch before me. I don't want to feel jealous but I know I will! Xx
