Start TTC November/December, fresh off the mini pill, anybody else?

I’m due to stop taking the mini pill next week and then hopefully going to start TTC properly once my periods return to normal but in the meantime I’m aware that anything can happen and I for one am hoping that I’ll be one of the lucky ones to get a BFP quickly but I won’t hold my breath!

My OH is somewhat less enthusiastic as me so I think I need to proceed with caution and not mention when I’m ovulating or schedule DTD - I’ve waited years for him/us to be ready I daren’t scare him off now!!!!

Anybody else looking to start TTC soon after the mini pill?

Anybody else got any tips on how to proceed in terms of TTC, ovulation kits etc...

Oh thank you, that’s really helpful. I’ve wanted a baby for so long but because the OH has always been so hesitant I’ve never really looked into it or considered things like this so now I feel a bit like I’ve thrown myself into the deep end!

I’m the type of person who probably can’t just relax and go with the flow of it especially having waited for this for so long. Is it bad if I just do the full steam ahead option but keep the tests and when I’m ovulating to myself 😂 and not really discuss it with him, it would scare him off he’s much more into the just see if it happens naturally method and I’m way too impatient for that!!

Hello! I can give tips 😊. It's up to you whether you go full steam ahead straight away or take the relaxed approach (dtd (doing the deed) every 2-3 days throughout the month) instead. Full steam ahead would be to get some opks. I recommend one step. They're cheap and cheerful and you can find them on amazon. The first cycle you take them start as soon as you stop bleeding in case you peak early. Once the line starts getting darker do two a day, then when it's close to being as dark as control line do 3 a day. Always take using dark urine and don't use first morning urine. Once you get your peak (as dark as control line) dtd every day for 3 days. You can download the app premom to take pictures of the tests so you don't have to keep them all. I used preseed which is a special fertility lubrication. The month I conceived is the month I used it very liberally I managed to dtd 3 days in a row by ovulation. You can also take your temperature but I never did this as I wake up at a diff time each day. If you have anymore questions let me know!

Oh yes absolutely I was worried nobody would join me haha!

Mine runs out next Sunday so I’m yet to come off it, really nervous about how long it will take for things to happen!!
