anyone waiting for AF this week (w.b. 21/10)

@Broom19 I've been seriously wondering if pregnacare have been having a negative effect for me too. When you ran out did you stop taking anything at all or just take folic acid and vit D? Interesting if you stopped taking them and that's the month you conceived.

I know the NHS website says that the only vitamins needed are vit d and folic acid (during pregnancy) and there is no research to prove prenatal vitamins work or are beneficial. My midwife said the same.

I did take some coq10 when trying to conceive too (however only during my last, successful cycle).

@Broom19 I've been taking folic acid along with COQ10. Not sure if that could be having an affect.

I just want to chip in about pregnacare.

I tried to conceive for 9 cycles and was taking pregnacare conception. Throughout this time my periods became closer and closer together and I also began spotting for up to 4 days beforehand.
I ran out of vitamins and, at the same time, had spoken to my doc who ordered some preliminary blood tests to check hormones. Blood tests showed irregularities in hormones, which would've been causing issues conceiving. However, I actually went on to conceive the very next month before any further testing could be done (I am currently 9+4) and I sincerely believe the pregnacare were messing up my hormones/ cycle.
If you google it, you'll find loads of stories from women who have experience the same.
My advice would be to stop taking them and just take folic acid and vit d.

I think if this wasn't my first cycle of TTC I would also be on the bottle of wine boat. Probably in the next couple of cycles I will

@Bananaloaf88 ugh I dunno what to think now. OH thinks I am, I'm like naaaaaah I'm probably just late again. I literally have no symptoms other than a bit of an itchy/stabby tit every now and again. Should of come on on Tuesday x

@CrazyFooLady I keep trying to stay positive. But I was in such a foul mood waiting last night I ended up having a bottle of wine. I am 99.9% sure I am out this month, just fed up waiting.

@Lizziedu49 I had light bleeding on CD 12 (ish) it was a lot lighter than my normal period but it lasted about 2 days longer.

I put it into Ovia as "spotting" so it hasn't counted it in CDs as a period but it did move my predicted period date to tomorrow.

So I am either on CD42 or CD30. I'm starting to wonder if I did have a 12 day cycle. I had really bad side pains during that time, the doctor did an internal exam and took a urine sample but everything was clear.

I'm glad someone else has been in the same boat! I just want to be pregnant already! After my miscarriage I have suddenly went into hyper broody mode.

I'm still late, but have been testing every morning and getting a BFN....... guess I'm not out until the old bag turns up

@Bananaloaf88 was it bright red blood? Funnily enough i had the same between my last 2 cycles, I had one day of bright red blood but Clue did count it as AF
So I either had one 16 day cycle and another 22 day one or one 38 day one. SO CONFUSED

I'm am SO glad to hear it's not just me ☺️ also it's really interesting that Ovia didn't count it as AF

@Lizziedu49 It is so frustrating. I had some mid-cycle bleeding so i'm wondering if this has reset my cycle. According to ovia with the mid-cycle bleeding (which it didnt register as a period) I am due on tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Have just ordered 50 OPks for Nov 😂

Oh gosh @Bananaloaf88 we are in the same boat, I'm CD35 and my longest ever was 38 so surely something has got to happen soon

I have the worst sore throat and cold today, just came out of nowhere! 8 DPO so could be a symptom but clutching at straws now!

Still no AF or BFP. CD 42. Really bored now waiting. 🙄

@Annies1923 sore boobs is a Verrrrrry good sign, especially if you don't usually get that before AF

Hi @lizziedu49 thanks for the assurance, its so easy to start to think it may never happen, the cramps I had are mild now, and very sore boobs, hoping this may be our month x

Welcome @Annies1923, sorry to hear it is taking a long time. I guess if one of your tubes is narrowed, you're counting on ovulating from the other in order to conceive.
My best friend has just gone through IVF and it all went through soooo quickly and she is due to give birth in a month and a bit!

@Crazymummyto3 no AF for me either and I am not getting cramping anymore. I calculated the last viable date I could have ovulated and that would put me at 12DPO today. I got a BFN yesterday! CD34 for me today

Still no AF. Tested again with an IC but still just the faintest of lines 😩

Hi guys, first time posting, me and my partner have been TTC for 2 years now. I'm 23, him approaching 30, I've always known that I wanted to be a parent, had all the tests done and awaiting the appointment to confirm when we can start IVF. I recently had a HSG test, with a delayed tube, not quite sure how much that effects everything but trying to be optimistic each month, just becomes harder and harder.
AF due on a Tuesday but have quite a lot of cramping so hoping it's implantation. Fingers crossed.
