Being unrealistic with myself

Wondering if anyone else experienced this... I am already setting unrealistic expectations for myself. I had my coil out 2 weeks ago, had sex maybe twice since and for some reason am disappointed I am not pregnant ... any tips on how to not do this to myself??

Sorry, I have just needed a bit of time to myself. This is going to sound really silly but not getting pregnant this month has hit me really hard. Like, really hard. I am on my last day of AF so I should be gearing my myself up this next cycle but I just feel like I can't 😢 I don't know why I am feeling this way and I am hoping I will snap out of it.
From the bottom of my heart I wish you both the best of luck with those BFPs this month. I just feel I might have to have a break from it all x

@27andcounting Considering my exhaustion today I definitely ovulated yesterday and had sex Saturday morning so I should be good time wise, it’s whether it wants to stick on now haha!

Mine seems to really be dragging so now I'm back to symptom spotting, and I always seems to convince myself it's different this time, like my boobs somehow ache differently or my cramps didn't feel like this last month.... I'm probably just making it all up haha 🤣

1 week to go! I want try and hold off for a long as I can (think I should be testing Sunday/Monday)

@27andcounting Yea, I was predicted ovulation yesterday so I’m now about 14-16 days from period. I had cramps yesterday so pretty sure I did ovulate then. Fingers crossed now that we got the timing right...!

How are you feeling?

@goodforbrian AF yet? Or even better BFP?

My original expect AF would've been tomorrow but I'm not sure still got another week from when I had the positive OPK so providing AF hasn't come I plan to test next Sunday/Monday

@goodforbrian oh hun Im so sorry !! But... it’s still early and even if it is correct then you’re due to start AF soon - new cycle!! Everything happens for a reason.. your body is waiting for that ultimate time and best egg and sperm combo!

@27andcounting How are you doing?

Date night was cancelled in favour for us both to have a lads/girls night out separately.. I think we both need it and we’ll get to DTD tonight when we both get home, or in the morning.

I took your advice about only having sex during fertile period and told my partner that I’m gonna be fertile (for informational purposes only ;) haha!) so see if makes a difference!

I'm bored of waiting but I have the worst patience ever! Trying not to symptom spot or anything but I'm bored. Work is not helping with keeping my mind off it at the moment 😩

@ScaredFlamingo thank you! I didn't do a test this morning (I am very proud of myself ha!) and I will test tomorrow as long as AF doesn't show 🤞🏽
Date night sounds lovely, I am sure you will time it right! Good luck and definitely keep us posted. I completely agree and understand about 'saving' sex for fertile week! What are we like? Haha.
I am ok, symptom spotting like a loon again. I'm bloated and hormonal but that could be true for AF or a BFP, only tomorrow will tell I suppose!

Hold out!! If you get AF then at least it’s a new cycle, better than a negative test. Fingers crossed though!!!

How are you both feeling?

I’ve noticed my sex drive has dropped massively over last 6 month. I used to want it all the time, now I’m just like “I’ll save it until Friday because that’s when I’m most fertile” hahaha! I’ve planned a date night with the OH on Friday as I’m due to ovulate Saturday or Sunday so hoping I’ll time it right haha!

Hi @ScaredFlamingo and @27andcounting So, I'm due on in 2 days and I've gone and bought myself some clear blue tests. I have decided that seeing as I have waited this long, I am going to wait until Friday to test... I am trying my best to be sensible for once and I can't bare another negative test! So far I am feeling ok, cramping has gone and I just feel 'normal' no AF symptoms and no BFP symptoms.
How are you guys getting on?
Also re sex drive... mine isn't anything to write home about either lol. The older I get the more it dwindles haha. I am definitely more of a let's have sex to make a baby rather than let's just have sex for the fun of it!

@ScaredFlamingo glad to hear you made it through without catching the illness. I'll sure you'll manage to DTD during your high fertile time.
For me and my OH it was the other way round d I have quite a low sex drive.

@goodforbrian I have such terrible patience Sadalready bored of waiting haha

@goodforbrian I have a suppressed immune system so I’m really not sure how I got away with it haha! That’s such a good idea, I might slyly run it past him.. although he did say he didn’t wanna put pressure on it and do all the tracking... it’s such a tightrope to walk with these men sometimes!!
Nice to meet someone who faces the same issue I do with the male sex drive. I’ve always thought men want it all the time but my boyfriend could go a week or two without it ... thought there was something wrong with me but starting to think it’s an age thing haha!

You might be implanting... not long left to wait!! Try to relax (soooo much easier said than done haha!)

Yay @ScaredFlamingo that's great news! I think I need your impressive immune system because I catch every bug going. DH also doesn't have the highest of sex drives so we save our DTD's for fertile week only! Seriously, we even make jokes that we are only allowed sex for one week a month 😂 Maybe you could do the same? That way the men should look forward to it haha.

I am feeling ok today, very crampy but not in an AF way as too soon? Or at least I hope too soon and AF isn't going to arrive early for me! It started last night in bed. I don't know what to make of it in all honesty! One minute I convince myself it's a sign of pregnancy and the next I am like naaaah it's just AF again! I am trying my best to hold off doing a test until Thursday (AF due Fri) I have no tests left in the house so should be easy (haha as if!)

So I didn’t get the bug!! Not sure how but I swerved it haha!
Fertile towards end of week... see if I can time things right haha! My partner has a really low sex drive so without actively trying I think it’s gonna be down to luck if we do the deed at the right time!!

How you both feeling?

@ScaredFlamingo oh dear that's the worst timing! As gooforbrian said I hope you don't get it and can make it DTD as much as you can

Thanks ladies! I am remaining positive (story of my life haha) and still hoping for that BFP at the end of the week.
@27andcounting sorry you didn't get a BFP but you seem really on track with your plan moving forward and I'm wishing you a quick TWW!

I am having a mare... the boyfriend is down with a sickness bug and I am working from home and literally just waiting for it to hit me.... not the best vibe for fertile week haha!

@goodforbrian I tested this morning negative on the pregnancy one but still peak on ovulation. So think I've just ovulated really late this month, or ovulated twice but seems unlikely. So going to start my TWW again and fingers crossed!
Still early days for you hold out for a new more.... hoping you get a BFP

I caved and done a test this morning... negative again 😢 but I'm very early as not due AF until Friday so I still have a little bit of hope (but not much!) Hope you both have a better morning than me! x

I'm going to test in the morning but will see what happens, seems like it would be much to early for such a strong result even thought I have heard that OPKs can pick up pregnancy.

Also I'm 27...hence the name

@27andcounting I agree, could you be pregnant? Worth taking a test! I have no other explanation? I did read someone some woman can ovulate twice in a cycle but I think that's rare? Keep us updated x

@27andcounting Yea it’s a pain but we’re just going to see what happens and let things happen. I’m in my fertile period towards end of week so we shall see!!

Could you be pregnant? Could symptoms be implantation maybe?
