Wondering if anyone else experienced this... I am already setting unrealistic expectations for myself. I had my coil out 2 weeks ago, had sex maybe twice since and for some reason am disappointed I am not pregnant ... any tips on how to not do this to myself??

Oh man I feel you! I stopped my pill in January and didn't have sex til March. Still thought I could've been Blush I didn't have a period til April. Good luck, and you're not silly I think we've all been there! I'm one day post ovulation and imagining symptoms haha

ScaredFlamingo · 25/04/2020 21:13

@27andcounting nausea and tiredness kicking my arse but not debilitating which is good. Will be 8 weeks on Monday so fingers crossed the next 4/5 weeks goes quickly haha! How are you?

@ScaredFlamingo how you getting on?

27andcounting · 17/04/2020 13:41

@ScaredFlamingo still great news, how weird I was exactly 6weeks 4 days when I had mine haha. But that's brilliant! So happy it went well.

Not too bad keep getting really bad nausea at night which is so annoying but I've invested in my pregnancy pillow which is great, it's a must have 😊

ScaredFlamingo · 17/04/2020 06:13

I ended up having it moved to yesterday as they were low on staff. Saw heartbeat and everything is ok :) so happy! I’m 6 weeks and 4 days today so a little less than originally predicted.

How are you getting on?

@ScaredFlamingo
Very excited for you tomorrow let me know how it goes and post pictures.... fingers crossed all goes well 😘

ScaredFlamingo · 11/04/2020 10:55

@27andcounting Eek that’s very exciting!!

Luckily time is flying by at moment because work is so busy! No cravings, and I can keep nausea at bay if I eat regularly and move when I feel sick!

Just keep everything crossed it’s all ok on Thursday!!

@ScaredFlamingo
I know it makes me so happy every time I look at it ❤️❤️, I didn't get to hear the heartbeat and I forgot to ask to hear it because the sonogapher was doing the checks for the three syndromes.
Got a list of people I want to tell directly so
Will probably do that next week because I'm officially 12 weeks on Sunday and then once done I will post on Facebook or something for family friends and such to see.
Well I'm hopeful for you but bet feels like time is dragging whilst you wait.
I didn't have like really bad symptoms just little bit here and there. But the tiredness thing I can relate you making a lot of the important bits for baby so your body is working hard which is a really good sign. Have you had any cravings yet? I've not had specific cravings yet just get fixated on wanting something and won't go away until
I've had such thing driving the OH mad.

ScaredFlamingo · 09/04/2020 07:04

@27andcounting Omg look at that!!! You can see his/her little face!! I am so happy for you :) did you hear the heartbeat yet? You going to start telling people?
My early scan is a week today - nervous but excited... really just hope that everything is ok!! I'm ok, I haven't had much in way of symptoms yet - a lot of people say 6 weeks is when it really hits you with symptoms and that's tomorrow, so see how I am over weekend. I've been v tired and I fall asleep at 9pm every night and I am so bloated - I look pregnant already! But that's it really.

27andcounting · 08/04/2020 17:19

Can't wait for your early scan, how you get along now. That metallic taste is horrible I haven't had it much but know some who have it throughout most of their pregnancy.
I don't blame you just because you pregnant doesn't mean all the fun has to be taken out of everything, i still have little bits of food I shouldn't sometimes I forget and some times I just crave it.
Had my scan today! Literally the best thing ever and dated me exactly when I though I should be officially 11+3wks 😍😍😍

@27andcounting
Yea I've got real acidic taste in throat today, so feeling bit queasy. I am also very emotional and mood swings are pretty crazy!!
I've heard this from a couple of people, it can take ages to "feel" pregnant - I don't feel pregnant at all.
Must have been a nice feeling though, seeing the heartbeat? That's what I have next Friday and it cannot come quick enough!!
Ha! I was drinking most nights before we found out (quarantine will do that to ya!) but weirdly could tell I wasn't really feeling it and we decided that I won't drink at all for at least the first 12 weeks - then if everything is ok I may ration myself to a small glass of wine once a week haha!
I bet!! Have you had any cravings or weird aversions?

OP posts:
27andcounting · 05/04/2020 21:05

@ScaredFlamingo yeah you'll get a mix of symptoms I'm sure, although the one I haven't had yet is that "feeling pregnant" like I know I am but I think until I can feel movement it will be that way, I'm very much a physical person like I believe things when I can physically tell it's true. And yeah I saw the heartbeat couldn't hear it at that point but they check everything else and confirm baby is in the right place etc. I know exactly what you mean, just take it easy try and avoid stress and don't be harsh if you eat or something that you should avoid.... I still eat the wrong things.... but most
Of my favourite foods are on the do not eat list haha.

ScaredFlamingo · 05/04/2020 18:39

@27andcounting Yea I’ve had to start wearing sports bras to bed haha! They’re not awful, I just feel them a lot more than usual. I’m not getting much in way on symptoms; but I’m only 5weeks2days so expect it might get worse!
Ahhh that’s so exciting!! Did you see heartbeat? I want my scan now... this waiting is going to kill me! I don’t want to let myself get too excited yet.

27andcounting · 05/04/2020 18:33

I think I got off pretty lightly, only sick a couple of times just nausea, has the painful boobs kicked in yet?

How exciting. Yeah we had ours on the 5th March. Here's the picture we were dated at 6 weeks 4 days. The baby is between the two yellow markers.

ScaredFlamingo · 05/04/2020 15:06

@27andcounting How was the morning sickness? I get slight nausea but nothing major.
I have my early private scan on 17th so fingers crossed everything is ok there.
Did you have one in the end?

OP posts:
27andcounting · 05/04/2020 13:42

@ScaredFlamingo it's okay busy lives and all 😊 doing really well thanks for my scan on Wednesday. Hospital have me at 12 weeks although I'm sure they will put me at 11 at the scan because I ovulated a week later. But all good here.
I'm so happy to hear that what fantastic news! Congratulations!!!! Keep me updated and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

ScaredFlamingo · 01/04/2020 11:07

@27andcounting Sorry I missed this??
How are you getting on?
So this month I have not even thought about getting pregnant... and guess what I got this morning?? BFP!

27andcounting · 02/03/2020 21:59

@ScaredFlamingo sorry been MIA manic few days with family just not had any time to check my phone oops. How you doing? Like you say was your first cycle need to get back in the swing of it.
I wonder how @goodforbrian is doing?

ScaredFlamingo · 28/02/2020 09:42

@merrz Thank you so so much for that. It is exactly what I needed. I feel pretty sad today but I’ll be ok. I had been stopping myself getting excited every day I was late, this morning I let myself believe it might be and there AF was, such a disappointment BUT it does mean I’m on a new cycle and a new start so trying to be positive. I’m gonna let myself have a little wallow today though :) x

Merrz · 28/02/2020 08:51

I've just read your post OP and wanted to say i know how you feel. It took us a year from coming off the pill to getting my bfp and it was horrible, every time af showed up i was so upset, it totally took over my life. Now have a healthy 14 month old DD. I know everyone says this but for us it was the cycle I stopped stressing about it that it happened so try to relax. Also remember it is totally normal for a healthy couple to take up to a year to fall pregnant. I read somewhere that getting pregnant is like playing golf for the 1st time. If everyone stands in the same spot and tries to hit a ball in a hole 5 meters away some might be lucky and get it in 1st or 2nd time but a lot of people won't but by 12 attempts most people will get it in or be very close. Every cycle is such a small window of chance and there are so many factors that need to be right in that small window, sometimes it just takes time to get it all perfect. Hope that helps!

ScaredFlamingo · 28/02/2020 08:22

@27andcounting I did a test this morning and as I wiped there was AF... my body is evil.

Haha! I’d be the same!!

27andcounting · 27/02/2020 20:47

That was means to say completely spaced

27andcounting · 27/02/2020 20:47

@ScaredFlamingo omg I co portent spaced on that last message sorry :(
Oh that must be so nerve racking you going to try and wait it out? How long till you might test again?

I said the same to my other half about nausea at work. Worst part is it keeps waking me up and I really want to wake him up so he can suffer too haha.
Never thought so much about everything that I eat.

ScaredFlamingo · 27/02/2020 08:17

@27andcounting I’m 3 days late but far too nervous to test and convinced she’s coming, just late....

How are you?
