Hey ladies! Couldn't find a November bus so thought I would create one! Who's hopping on? Please introduce yourself. I will start...

Ttc #2

OV due 2nd nov
Af due 17th nov

Xxxx

ceejla · 31/10/2019 16:08

@stepmumma91 relatively chilled yes haha. We've talked about having kids for YEARS and he is honestly the best with children and he can't wait to have a family. But he is also one of those that would also sh*t themselves when it actually happens (as most people I do I imagine)! Doesn't help when he has noooo idea about the whole ovulation thing and I think he would be pretty shocked if I fell within 6 weeks.

Those little devils can hang around for 3-5 days so you hopefully you are covered for this month.

Lolly271 · 31/10/2019 16:02

Hi guys, jumping on board!
TTC #1
1st cycle
Currently 1 dpo
AF due 14th November
This tww is torture
Good luck to everyone x

Fsid00 · 31/10/2019 10:27

Hi,

I'll join rather than lurk for a change!

TTC #3
Cycle 5
OV due 7th Nov
AF due 16th Nov

MC April 2019

First time using CB OPK's this time. After the last few months of cheapies. Found out I'm ovulating later than I originally thought and have a short luteal phase of between 9 & 11 days.

Good luck everyone Thanks

stepmumma91 · 31/10/2019 09:04

Hi @ceejla!

We have BD'd every day since I first got a high reading (CD9), just not yesterday. Hoping DH feels better later so that we cover bases for the next couple of days!

Fingers crossed for you!!

Not so much worried about DH's reaction. He already has a daughter so I think he knows what he's signing up for! Has your DH been reasonably chilled up til now?

ceejla · 31/10/2019 08:54

hi @stepmumma91!

Have you been BD'ing every other day or so around your fertile window? I don't think you need to worry about doing it bang on OV day, as long as you get a few tries in before they can be there waiting ready!

I thought I may have OV early at the weekend but in actual fact, don't think it happened until yesterday/today (although not charting anything). So I will be hoping NOT to expect AF same time as you!

Question to everyone on here, especially those TTC #1 - is anyone so so excited for a baby but at the same time dreading how their partner will react when it actually happens?

stepmumma91 · 31/10/2019 08:46

Hi everyone, do you mind if I join?
TTC #1 (one 9 y/o stepdaughter from his previous relationship)
Cycle 1
CD 13
OV due 2/11
AF around 16/11

I got my first peak reading this morning using the CB advanced fertility monitor. Already panicking that I may have missed our window! Slightly concerned because I had to test twice yesterday - first test didn't 'errored', had to squeeze another wee out before I went to work as the monitor only lets me test within a certain window!! Hoping it was accurate and not missed a peak day yesterday otherwise may have missed out this month!

Have been getting high readings since Sunday so have been DTD each day but DH was ill yesterday so nothing yesterday, hoping he feels better later!

Is anyone else feeling super overwhelmed?! Feels like such a huge this is happening but you can't talk to anyone about it! (Except you ladies obvs! Smile)

Fredthespider · 30/10/2019 13:48

Late ovulation isn't unusual for me unfortunately, I was just hopeful that this month was different :)

WooMaWang · 30/10/2019 10:17

It might just be an unusually long cycle this time. Hopefully you'll never actually find out how long because no one wants to see AF arriving on this board.

Fredthespider · 30/10/2019 10:06

Welcome @ceejla!

7th day of flashing smilies for me so it's not looking good. I've had pretty regular 28 day cycles so I ideally need to ovulate by tomorrow to have half a chance this month, if I follow the usual pattern I'll get my solid smiley on Friday which is too late. Ah well.

ceejla · 29/10/2019 16:25

Please can I join ladies??

TTC #1
Implant out 25th September
Currently on 1st proper cycle CD13
AF due somewhere around 11th-15th Nov

Periods have always been somewhere between 25-29 days. I had EWCM CD10 & 11 and THINK I ovulated around CD11 due to the OV pains.

Other half isn't 'trying' he just wants it to happen so not charting temp or anything like that!

Good luck to you all!

WooMaWang · 29/10/2019 14:41

I was listening to some of the male fertility stuff on 5live earlier.

Performance anxiety is difficult. It's amazing the difference that confidence (or lack of it) can make.

Fredthespider · 29/10/2019 14:10

Performance anxiety can be so stressful! I really feel sorry for the men having all of that pressure on them. BBC 5 live are highlighting fertility issues today so they have a few pieces online about it.

Day 6 of flashing for me today. Was hoping to get a static today, but it's looking more likely that this month isn't for us either.

WooMaWang · 28/10/2019 20:47

The purple CB OPKs say to start on CD8.

I think DP finds TTC a bit stressful. He seems to get a bit anxious at a smiley face because it requires him to perform. He always does anyway, but the TTC makes him overthink everything.

AegonT · 28/10/2019 19:55

Cycle 1. Was supposed to start SMEP yesterday (CD8). No idea when I ovulate really. But didn't DTD, was tired so fell asleep on the sofa so decided to start this morning but DD1 is ill with a random virus (rash, tummy ache, fever, tired) so woke us up in the night and super early in the morning needing comfort. Now at in-laws for the next two nights. I feel like it's not just my age that will make it harder to conceive this time round! I'm also a bit confused about OPKs, use FMU and start on CD 11 as Clear Blue instructions say or do in afternoon (at work?!) and earlier in cycle as internet says. I haven't used an OPK yet or brought them to the in-laws' house.

Ginblooded · 28/10/2019 19:45

Yellow1c, I’m also feeling a little daunted! I don’t think we’ll manage to dtd every day before ovulation so trying to figure the best possible combination of days.. very romantic 😂
hopefully it will chill your dh out a bit!

Yellow1c · 28/10/2019 18:30

Ginblooded, I'm entering my fertile period tomorrow too. I'm excited and also a little daunted haha. How're you feeling about it? My husband is super stressed at work atm so this week will either relax him and take his mind off things...or just stress him out even more! Here's hoping for the former! Wink

blackpinkinyourarea · 28/10/2019 09:11

@clolo i have clearblue ones but they kept having a blank face so i got cross and shoved them in the drawer, as they are too expensive to 'waste' using them when i have no idea when my fertile window is! My temp today is 36.6 (highest temp yet) so apps still saying ive ovulated last wednesday but why have my OPKs not reflected this :( oh well im going to assume i have as i really want to be in the two week wait!

Ginblooded · 28/10/2019 08:27

Eek, I’m entering my fertile period tomorrow.. have already pre-warned DP 😂 I’m hoping he’s not bloody sick of me by Sunday (approx OV date)
If I’m not lucky enough to conceive this month I think I’ll look at opks 😊

WooMaWang · 28/10/2019 07:56

Unexpectedly my (purple) CB OPK came up with a solid smiley face yesterday morning, with no flashing ones before hand. I was expecting at least a week until an LH surge. In fact I'd been moaning that they make you start testing so bloody early so you use loads of sticks unnecessarily. Turns out I know nothing. 😂

I'm never sure when to assume 1dpo is though as it's still a somewhat fuzzy guesstimate of when you'll ovulate (12-48 hours). I guess tomorrow or maybe the day after to be sure. Then I can (very impatiently) wait 2 weeks before testing.

blackpinkinyourarea · 27/10/2019 10:38

@clolo af is due for me on 10 nov too.
I am using cheap onestep opks twice a day and havent had one thats anywhere near positive, but my temp has been increasing the last few days so my apps are saying ive already ovulated :/

tal71 · 27/10/2019 09:56

I used the cheap OPKs last month along with the clear blue advanced so will just use them again! AF is just finishing for me so will hopefully ovulate around 4th November! I ovulated quite late in the cycle last month - its the first month of me paying close attention to ovulation etc so not sure if that is the norm for me, we'll see this month hopefully!
I've also bought pressed to give that a go what with all the dtd Smile

Fredthespider · 27/10/2019 09:10

Good morning ladies! I have been on the 'end of the month' bus, but over the cycles end of the month has now become middle of the month when AF is due. I'm using the clearblue connected kit and flashing started for me on Thursday. Flashing again this morning but the second line was strong so I did a cheap OPK and it's very close to positive. I don't know if it's because I've been a bit dehydrated so the urine was very concentrated or if it is genuinely going to happen soon. I'm still breastfeeding my first so for the past few months I've been ovulating later in the cycle but this would be around the right time.

Hi all, can I join too? I'm on cycle 5 ttc #2, ds is 18months old. I was really lucky and got pregnant first month trying last time, not having that same luck this time around though. I'm on cd 9, due to Ov around 1st nov, and af due 14th (according to ovia app). Best of luck to everyone! X
