DTD last night and got static smiley this morning so will try to DTD tonight too. Thankfully DC is playing ball and going to sleep at 7 giving us the time and energy to DTD before dinner and slobbing in front of the tv!

It is definitely functional, no frills sex though. As my cousin once said “x (her husband) would be all like mmmm yeah baby” and she’d go “nope, none of that, in and out”!!! 😂

burntpinky · 04/11/2019 16:39

Can I join please:

Age: 41
TTC: No. 2
Cycle 1
Testing around 12/13 Nov

Had 1st DC at 39 and he is almost 14 months now. Would've liked to have waited before trying for a second but I'm 41 and my periods have now changed significantly since having DC so am worried am peri-menopausal so we are getting on with it. Finding it hard to DTD due to having DC and him knackering us out so this is the first month we've tried. DTD yesterday and hoping to try again tonight as still on flashing smiley (well, was this morning, need to do another test shortly). Am so so worried we won't get lucky a second time and have previously had a MMC (before DC) so am also worried about that. This whole TTC business is so stressful!!!

Fsid00 · 04/11/2019 14:28

@WooMaWang my DH travels a lot with work. It can be really frustrating when it falls at the wrong time!

My ovulation was about 5 days earlier than usual this month. Must be something in the air!

WooMaWang · 04/11/2019 13:37

Maybe once will be enough this month.

My DP is away tonight with work too. I didn't feel like DTD at 5am either. 😆 I'm 7dpo though so it doesn't really matter this cycle.

We had expected me to get an LH surge this weekend (based on the previous cycle) so we had discussed whether I could actually go with him. He used to joke about a colleague he used to work away with regularly whose wife had a spreadsheet and would come to visit him on site (sometimes driving hundreds of miles) to DTD. I pointed out that he is in danger of making himself that guy.

Fsid00 · 04/11/2019 13:08

@Ginblooded Ummm no, I can confirm I was definitely not in the mood at 5am Grin. So only the once this month. But still hoping it might happen.

My CB OPK went straight from a blank circle to static smiley so didn't even BD on the run up. So I'm not holding out much hope but still keeping everything crossed.

Ginblooded · 04/11/2019 12:13

@Fsid00 ohh, good luck! Did you end up dtd at 5am? 🤔😂

Fsid00 · 03/11/2019 21:34

I had my static smiley on My Clearblue OPK today Smile.

Husband is away from tomorrow until Wednesday night, so only today's BD but hopefully that will be enough. Got everything crossed!

He did mention doing it before he leaves at 5am but I'm a bit of a grumpy cow in the mornings, highly unlikely I will be in the mood at 5am Grin.

Monstamio · 03/11/2019 07:42

Can I join please?

Age 39
TTC #3
Cycle 1
Testing around 17th Nov if I can hold out that long, but I'm stocking up on internet cheapies!

I had 3 miscarriages on the journey to my two lovely children, so I'm expecting a bit of a rocky road, especially as I'm now even more geriatric!

Good luck everyone!

Ginblooded · 02/11/2019 21:41

I’m definitely going to try and make myself busy, it’s so easy to obsess!

I am so confused about ovulation 😂
I have two tracker apps on my phone so I have an least an idea... one predicted I’d ov on the 1st nov and the other the 3rd. I Think I ov on the 1st as I had some crampy feelings on Thursday night and today I’ve had sore boobs. I’ve read that’s a sign you’ve just ovulated? I didn’t notice any ewcm though, but it was watery and slippery wed-fri 🤔

We dtd Tuesday, Thursday morning and Friday night 🤞🤞

So I may now be in the tww! May have to dtd throughout next week too, just to be sure though 😂

Overthinker1988 · 02/11/2019 14:34

Hehe yes, and then you're looking forward to that thing instead of AF. Keeping fingers crossed for you on the 17th!

Louu99 · 02/11/2019 14:26

@Overthinker1988 yes! A treat always makes bad days better, especially if it's a massage! Not that I need an excuse 😂

Overthinker1988 · 02/11/2019 14:24

@Louu99 I know, you can never switch off completely. I found it helpful to book a treat-type thing for the day AF is due (like a massage or a manicure) so it takes the sting off a bit if AF does come.

Louu99 · 02/11/2019 14:21

@Overthinker1988 I do try, sometimes it's so difficult not to, especially when you really want it to happen!

I am going to be busy for the next couple of weeks so that should help. Another good thing is not having any tests in the house haha
The wait until the 17th begins!

Overthinker1988 · 02/11/2019 14:17

@Louu99 Thanks :) And nooo, do not over-analyse. I made that mistake already and it makes time go at snail's pace. I try to line up as many pleasant activities as possible to take my mind off it.
Personally I would test on the day AF is due though, because if I end up having repeat chemical pregnancies/early miscarriages I'd want to know rather than thinking it's just AF. Then I can go to docs to see if there's an issue.

Louu99 · 02/11/2019 14:13

Good luck @Overthinker1988 ! Smile

What does everyone think about the "wait and see" to test method, instead of analysing very symptom, like I already do? Grin

Overthinker1988 · 02/11/2019 14:08

Hi everyone! Will be going back to TTC (cycle 3) after an early miscarriage in week 5. Hoping it happens quickly again. Wishing you all luck!

Louu99 · 02/11/2019 13:15

Hi everyone!

Can I join in here?

TTC #1
I ovulated on 31st October
AF is due 17th November

This is only my first cycle but I'm trying to remain optimistic and not symptom spot every pain or niggle Grin x

GeminiCancer · 02/11/2019 13:10

Hi jumping from October bus to November bus.
TTC #2
Cycle 4
AF Due 1st December
Ovulate around the 16th.

Thought I'd have conceived by now as OH and I have been DTD constantly even outside of ovulation window.
Fingers and toes crossed for everyone. X

CooperLooper · 02/11/2019 12:49

Hey I'd like to join please.

Age 28
TTC #1
Cycle 1
DPO 0 (got my LH surge today)

I've had the implant in for 5-6 yrs had had it out on 5th Oct, never had any periods whilst on it. I had a week of flashing smiley faces on the CB digital about 2-3 weeks ago but never hit a peak or a surge on the cheap dip tests.

Finally got my LH surge today 🥳 I've had sore boobs, cramps on the left side and good grief my sex drive has gone through the roof (sorry)

So I guess tomorrow I count it as a 1DPO is that right??

Nice to meet you all! X

Yellow1c · 02/11/2019 12:17

I'm 2dpo and absolutely nothing. Then again, I didn't really expect there to be... apart from extreme impatience - that's got to be a symptom, right? Wink I'm only cycle 1 but can already tell this experience is going to be one I obsess over!

So, my husband was absolutely knackered on the day I ovulated. He was great all the other times but - bless him - was so so tired that we didn't try that day. But we tried the two days before so I'm hoping that'll be enough...! Fingers crossed.

Lolly271 · 02/11/2019 10:04

@clolo I feel really weird this month, constant nausea and weird feeling in my tummy (kinda like gassy feeling which is not normal for me, don't really ever have any symptoms of anything apart from cramping/backache the day before AF)! I'm only 3 dpo and have had this for the past 2 days. I'm trying to not get my hopes up as it's all probably physcholigical as it's only cycle 1 😂 I have been tracking my cycles for about 2 years now though and these symptoms are completely out of whack for me!

How's everyone else?

Fredthespider · 02/11/2019 09:52

I hit 9 days of flashing smiles yesterday morning, but as I tend to ovulate late in the cycle I was expecting to get the solid smile yesterday, tested in the afternoon and there it was! So should be ovulating around now. Based on previous cycles I've got a short luteal phase so I'll start spotting on the 11th with AF due on the 12th, fingers crossed for something different this month.

TTC: No. 1
Age: 28 DH: 33
Cycle: 9
Cycle 7: High testosterone
Cycle 8: normal?
I have depression and think stress levels aren't helping but I've tried everything. Wanted a month off from TTC as didn't think the timing would be right for this month. Hope everyone is doing well and baby dust to all! I'm generally feeling a bit meh.

stepmumma91 · 31/10/2019 18:10

@ceejla I think most men are exactly the same! Mine doesn't have a clue about all of this ovulation stuff either. Hopefully will be a happy surprise for them both! I don't think it really becomes real for them til the baby arrives anyway!
