First time TTC - Coming off the pill. Anyone with me?!

December was the first month we tried, so this is only the second month. I had my implant out in August so I’ve been tracking my cycle since then. I got the static smiley on a clear blue test this month so I’ve got my fingers crossed!! Previous months I’d used ovulation sticks and was convinced I’m not ovulating!

Currently in TWW, due on between Fri and Sunday. I usually get sore boobs the week before my period for a couple of days but it hasn’t gone and I’ve been feeling weird twinges alongside feeling slightly sick. On Monday I was exhausted. Pretty sure it’s all in my head but I have my fingers crossed all the same. Not going to test until my period is late. Hope you are all getting on ok.

This is my first time TTC, I stopped taking the pill in July after my gp thought it would be a good idea back in January to start it due to having symptoms of PCOS. My periods have been monthly since stopping never 100% accurate varying between 31 - 35 days.. Finished my period 3 days ago, yesterday and today I've had clear slippery CM. Is this normal. I really hope this month is a positive month xx

So I've been reading through this post and all the comments, and feel like I can relate to so many of them!!!!

My boyfriend and I had the discussion a few months ago and decided we both want to TTC!

I stopped taking Mycrogynon combined pill on 15th October, had my withdrawal bleed (?!) from the 18th-21st October and let me tell you there has been a lot of deeds being done between then and now . I told myself I would take it this whole thing as it comes... but I've already taken 3 x tests.. all negative! And have a stash sat in my flat ready for the next time I feel the slightest 'early pregnancy symptom'. I took my packets of microgynon back to back pretty much all the time... so no idea when (if positive) a test would show up?!

I never knew how much I really wanted this until we've started properly trying

Wow that's strange isnt it !!
Well it's odd really for me because I got EWCM before my peak but not too much of it but I'm scared I've missed it even thought I think we covered it, but not as much as I would of if I knew. The tests at the time of the EWCM where all low and a few days later the CM stopped and I hit my peak. Isnt it odd how everyone is different.
Fingers crossed for us both that we just got lucky and AF doesn't turn up. When is yours due to turn up?

Please can I join ☺️ I am 25 OH is 31 and we decided to start TTC this year.

I came off Cerelle on 20/8 after being on it for 5 years with no periods, and I was on Mycrogynon for 2years before that but ran pill packets together 🤦🏻‍♀️.

I've not had a period yet ☹️ had a couple of random spotting like things, but these have been after DTD and I have a condition that causes the womb lining to grow over onto my cervix so I have no idea if this is because of that or is actually a withdrawal bleed.

Had a drs appt last week and they said take another test and come back in a month if it's negative and then they will start testing hormones. Well the test was negative so gotta wait until 25th for next appt.

This is going to sound odd, but my first ever long term bf & I were stupid reckless kids, and we had unprotected sex for 2.5 years but I never got pregnant and I've convinced myself I must be infertile. Does anyone else have any experiences like this?

I really need some support, I feel like I'm not actually a woman right now, and I hate not knowing what is going on with my body.

The only good things about coming off the pill are that my libido has miraculously reappeared (wehey!!) And my skin is so much better than it was.

@JEMMA18 ooh I’m in the same boat I’ve been tracking and got peak on Sunday night so we are pretty close with that one again, how weird! Yeah I’m still worried I haven’t as had very little EWCM infact-none! Just normal CM which turned slippy yesterday. Have you?

@gegi no way!! I can’t believe you’re still waiting for it, sorry to hear that! You never know you could be ovulating anyway though so keep holidingn out. Have you asked docs for a blood test?? Mines a bit of a weird one I had AF for 4 days then started taking clear blue advanced opk kits. I got 4 days of blanks 3 days of flashing smiley then a static (peak) on Sunday evening but absolutely no EWCM at all, if anything I’ve got started to get more CM the last day or two, so I’m not more wiser on my cycle haha! X

Hey @ACMJ nothing new here really, been tracking my ov and I think yesterday was my peak. I was starting to get worried I wouldn't ov but it seems likely I have now or I am. I cant tell when exactly it is with the tests kits. Is the peak the time you ov or is it shortly after?
Anyway I have a long 2 week wait now until I'm suppose to see AF arrive. How about you? Anything new ?

@ACMJ Oh it's just a mind field isnt it. I bought ovulation tests today to try and see where I up but your right I probs wont get a good idea until AF turns up. I have everything crossed for you that you get posstive Ovulation this month! And that's great to hear your blood came back normal, it gives you a peace of mind doesn't it.
I'm so glad to find someone in a silmar situation to myself.
I do hope the funny symptoms die down soon, I feel so ill with it.

@JEMMA18 honestly so was I! Totally convinced I was pregnant but wasn’t which’s as a shame but I’m glad AF came in the end. I’m ok thank you, like you I was so irregular before going on the pill, literally had about 2 periods a year so was so shocked that I actually got a real period 6 weeks after coming off it. I think because I have had a real one I feel a lot better, it was such a release of hormones as soon as I came on like they had been building up so once you have yours I am sure these symptoms will subside! I’ve been tracking ovulation for this cycle yeah, I did it a bit last month but with having no period I didnt know how reliable it was. On cycle day 8 now so approaching what should be my ovulation gap so will see if I get a positive result! I got so worried about my past cycle and it not turning up after pill so I asked the doctors for blood tests last week and they all came back normal so god knows what the irregular cycle was for!! I would say wait for at least 2 weeks after it would be due and go from there! So strange how the cycle works!

@ACMJ Hey there, oh it's nice to know I'm not the only one coming off the cilest pill. Glad to hear that is normal signs, obviously I was hoping it was early signs of preg but I know how unlikely it is due to it being so soon! If only eh!!! How you are you feeling ? Are you tracking Ovulation? I'm thinking of doing that once AF turns up ( if she does ) I was so irregular before taking cilest. 😭

@JEMMA18 also those symptoms are totally normal it’s just the pill leaving your body. I thought I was pregnant ALL month! Spent a load on pregnancy tests when actually it was just the cilest hormones leaving my body!

@JEMMA18 hey! I came off cilest as well but on September 3rd. I had a withdrawal bleed for 4 days from 6-9 September. I was on cycle day 46 before I got my first period (about 2 weeks late) and then it just randomly turned up!

Hey all! New here and was hoping I could join you ladies on the journey. I came off the pill and had my withdrawal as usual on the 23rd of this month which only lasted 4 days. We've decided to take the " let's see what happens approach " Yesterday would have been the first day for me to start my next month of pills ( I was on Cilest where you have 1 week break a month ) since yesterday I've had cramps and back ache and not sure why.... is it possible I will get another withdrawal bleed even if I've had it last week? 🙄 confused.

Hi all, hope its ok join here. Im new to all this TTC and its quite daunting!! I stopped using the pill the end of September. Got my withdrawal bleed from 1 - 6 October. I didnt track ovulation or anything this month but im nearly certain that i ovulated around the 17th. Today my first AF arrived, would i be safe to assume that i am one of the lucky ones whos cycle returned to normal straight away?

Day 21 and finally finished my first AF. Can't believe it was so long. Just a waiting game now to see how long I have to wait for next one. How is everyone else doing?
