Ovulation day - 2ww just starting

I'm 38, 39 next march. Thank you it's been a shitty few years cause it was the 3rd miscarriage.

It can be difficult at times to be together more with my husband getting up early for work, being tired, me being tired and looks after our little boy, just got to try and make more time. I thought we might have stood a good chance this month as we dtd 3 times on what I thought was the fertile window and going by the ovulation tests too. I think when I go I'm going to ask for some advice and see what they say.

We've been trying properly since Jan, trying without really discussing it before them for about 4 months.

I don't think you already having a little one makes a difference as you still might need help

How old are you? Nhs has different suggestions of time to wait after trying - I went to the GP after 6 months as I'm ancient (41). If you're worried after your miscarriage maybe see the gp after 6 months? I'm so sorry for your loss 💐

Every other day is the ideal but we rarely manage that with DH's shift work, plus I've had a series of bugs the last few months. I've been tracking my cycle and we've been aiming to do it every other day during that period (apparently about the same as doing it every day). We might go 2 weeks around my period without doing it. DH is also super stressed at work which doesn't do anything for his sex drive either.

This month I think we gave it a great shot. Dtd on the first day of my fertile period, again the day I ovulated and the day after that as well. The day after THAT I came down with a hideous streaming cold with a fever so neither of us wanted to do it again!

@TigerJoy about 4 months now, I'm worried something is wrong even tho I've had tests done at the miscarriage clinic they came back normal and projesterone at the time was 50. I think it could be down the fact also that me and hubby might not be having enough sex through the month, I was saying to him today we need to be trying more through the month, just been reading on the NHS website and it says like every 2 to 3 days so is that like every other day say? and also with my periods seeming to vary by a few days makes it more confusing. With having my little boy I don't know if it would make any difference getting a referral for fertility testing but then when I had projesterone done earlier this year the doctor did say I would be referred if the levels were still the same. How long have you been trying? I wouldn't be fobbed off by the fertility clinic push for the testing.

I've been referred to a fertility clinic, but I've heard they might just say go away and keep trying...

Do you know girls is it possible to have ovulation twice in one month? Only because when I put in an ovulation calculator the two periods I had in September it gave me two dates for this month?

How do you feel in yourself? Sorry you got a BFN, but you know you're not out until AF arrives! The cramps do sound good - do they feel like AF cramps? Maybe your uterus is preparing stand stretching?

12DPO today (2 days late for AF now as LP is 10days usually) and I'd said I'd test this weekend so did FRER this morning - BFN. Bit gutting.

Still having on and off AF type cramps which is weird. Have had this all week now and it literally never happens usually so no idea what's going on.

Told DH to hide tests now until next weekend. If AF hasn't arrived by next week then I'll test again.

Bloody ttc. So stressful!

@Lauraliverpool yes it could be that. Got to prep those swimmers before hand and then they should be fresh and strong ready for FW 🤞🏻 It can't hurt to mention it, can it! See what they say 🙌🏻💖

I think it is @Gigi318 I've explained to hubby that we need to try more through the month and I'm going to the doctor's next week for something else and I think I'm going to explain my concerns about getting pregnant. Got everything crossed for you Hun 😘 Xx

I don't know what I was thinking but did a pregnancy test way too early this morning. At least 6 days before period and after found this test can only be done 4 days before! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️waste of money and plastic!

Got quite bad cramping and still feel sick - gave half my bacon sandwich to the dogs this morning. However sickness might just be acid stomach playing up with all the chocolate I've been eating!!! It's wall to wall apples here today 🍏🍏🍏

It's a lovely sunny day so I might take the pooches for a short walk

Think af might be starting, at the moment it's just on tissue paper and pale pink. I hate all this. She's a great mum @gigi318 I'm so lucky! Can't always remember the dreams I have but I remember that one. Glad to hear you're feeling relaxed today!! 😘 Xx

@gigi32 think we're going to be in a similar position if af comes and it's my next fertile window staying with my mum but we're only over the road from our house so might have to go there as the bed we're sleeping in is from my own room when we lived in our family home and let's just say when you move around it can make a bit of a noise! 😂

@gigi32 that's good that you've been able to hold off. Are you having AF symptoms? Hope it holds off! Hehehehe that's good that you're close. I say go for it if you're happy to let them in on the knowledge you're TTC. They'll be more than willing. Or, you'll need to quietly sneak about at bed time like teenagers 🙊👌🏻

@Gigi318 lost all urge to test which is great and dd is keeping me busy which is nice. Feel like af is around the corner. Want it to come so I can just get on with it.

In laws arrive from Manchester in 10 days! Right on next fertile window! To stay for 4.5 weeks!! We're mega close to them so my partner thinks we should just say to them "can you take dd to the park for an hour" and tell them why! I don't mind at all! Something to laugh about tho! Anyone been in this position before?!?!
