Hi ladies . I’ve just finished my period today and my husband and I are now going to start ttc our first baby after having my Mirena removed last week.
Is anyone else TTC this month ? I’ve ordered some ovulation tests after I said I wouldn’t because I’ve read so many success stories on them so I thought I might as well just so I have some in case !

I’d love for people to share their journey with me ! I’m 24, 25 in two weeks . So excited for our journey . I’m trying to figure out this whole lingo on here and stuff sorry! X

Getting all the classic AF symptoms over here so it’s not looking good! Who knew baby making was so hard!? Hmm

CurbsideProphet · 20/12/2019 21:52

So pleased for you @itsheapsswell Smile

I'm 5dpo and waiting impatiently. I don't think I will be pregnant, so I'm just waiting for AF really 🤷🏻‍♀️

Littlepea90 · 19/12/2019 15:00

Girls using opk If you haven’t already got it, there’s an app I downloaded called Premom, you upload your sticks and it gives you a precise reading of whether you’re low, high or peak. Might be useful for some of you.

GaaaaarlicBread · 19/12/2019 13:29

@Maddy0405 ride it out a bit longer ! @Konbanwa had a ridiculous cycle about two months ago that went on forever 😂 so frustrating but keep going !

@itsheapsswell OMG I’m so happy for you !!

@itsheapsswell huge congratulations!! I bet it must be so hard to keep is a secret?!

My period still isn’t anywhere to be seen. Day 47 today 😂 not sure whether to make a GP appointment or just ride it out and see if my period ever comes?!

itsheapsswell · 19/12/2019 08:42

@CurbsideProphet good thank you! Now booked in to see the midwife on 2nd Jan which means I can take a day holiday to not arose suspicion and all is well! Did some more tests and definitely pregnant! I am definitely more paranoid about it sticking than I even was about getting pregnant in the first place- which was very!

Good luck to all you girls. Hope you all enjoy a drink this Christmas (if you can)- I truly believe it was my laidbackness when being constantly hungover that helped me get the BFP, if that even makes sense! Symptoms wise- I had NOTHING so don’t worry if you don’t either. It wasn’t until after my BFP that my boobs started to get really sore, but I woke up yesterday and they’re far less painful. Oh and I’m thirsty 24/7, so much so my partner gives me 24oz of water to take to bed with me every night :)

@notalwaysalondoner Oh I know what you mean about the roller-coaster. Do you have some nice treats in? I'm on tenterhooks until 30th Dec, even though I know month 2 of trying would be very lucky. I can't help the hope, but gosh the disappointment is tough.

GaaaaarlicBread · 18/12/2019 13:58

@LouLou0406 welcome to the thread ! Fingers crossed for you , have you any symptoms yet ? I’m worried that these sore boobs and slight stomach cramps are signs AF is on the way 😭 but I just feel different to normal .
@notalwaysalondoner oh no !! But remember @Konbanwa thought she was out due to work travels but still caught the egg so you might too!

AF just arrived 😭 so third month unlucky for us. And DH is going to be away visiting his parents in fertile period next month so that’s probably out too.

God I hate how you just have no control over this, or when it will finally happen - I’m just so ready. It’s such a rollercoaster, getting your hopes up when AF is even a day late then having them crushed again.

CurbsideProphet · 18/12/2019 11:01

How are you @han2291 and @itsheapsswell?

CurbsideProphet · 18/12/2019 10:52

@notalwaysalondoner 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you.

@Littlepea90 AF isn't due until 30 Dec, so 26 Dec would feel far too soon to test Confused I'm having my nails done by the same beauty therapist before then as a Christmas treat for myself so I'll speak to her and see what she says.

Littlepea90 · 18/12/2019 10:38

@CurbsideProphet I didn’t know that either, gosh it’s so hard to know what to do when you’ve got the possibility you’ve conceived hanging over you. Could you test a day or two before just to be sure.

LouLou0406 · 18/12/2019 09:55

Hi ladies, I'm new on here and also ttc for our first baby. I'm 33 and have been on the pill for years. My cycle seems to have kicked back into action since coming off the pill (mid October) and I'm now 9dpo. The o amazon strips have been very useful but I'm similar to all of you and finding the TWW to take a test very tricky. AF due Christmas Eve!

notalwaysalondoner · 18/12/2019 09:18

Still no sign of AF - let’s hope it continues to hold off!

CurbsideProphet · 18/12/2019 08:10

In the first 12 weeks. I remember reading it. I think it's to do with blood pressure 🤔

GaaaaarlicBread · 18/12/2019 07:55

@CurbsideProphet why aren’t you allowed to have a massage if you’re pregnant ?? I never knew that 🤭

OP posts:
CurbsideProphet · 17/12/2019 22:58

I can't drink anyway which makes things easier! I'm sure a few won't hurt. I'm booked for a massage on 27th Dec and the irrational part of my brain keeps saying "but what if I'm in the super early stages of pregnancy?" Hmm

Littlepea90 · 17/12/2019 22:14

Anyone going to be having a Christmas tipple? I’m due to ovulate sometime over Boxing Day and NY so would feel guilty. I fancied a drunken rant on Christmas at how ttc is driving me crazy Xmas Blush

CurbsideProphet · 17/12/2019 22:07

AF is due for me on Monday 30th, so I'll be hanging on over Christmas to see if I've been lucky this month. It's only month 2 of ttc so I'm trying to be realistic...

GaaaaarlicBread · 17/12/2019 20:46

@Cheyanne101 I agree it’s psychological , my husband was starting to struggle so we made the agreement that he makes the first move so I know he’s deffo up for it and not feeling pressured . It’s helped !

@LeaBri yay cycle buddies ! I’m testing quite late I think. I want guarantee that AF isn’t arriving , so might even leave it a whole week after I predict she’s due because I don’t want a false negative .
@CurbsideProphet my app says 30th going by last cycle but going by ovulation it’s due 25th December - so I don’t think I’m going to test til new year , I’m going to be strong and hold off !

Cheyanne101 · 17/12/2019 16:47

Thanks so much guys for all of your advise i really appreciate it!

Its great to come here and get it off my chest with no judgement its not exactly something id be telling my friends lol.

Yeah something has to change and yeah i defo agree it must be something psychological xx

CurbsideProphet · 17/12/2019 16:44

@notalwaysalondoner I'm usually 25 or so days too. Fingers very tightly crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻

notalwaysalondoner · 17/12/2019 16:19

I’ve been logging my cycles since April 2015 and have only had three 28 day cycles in that time (all others have been shorter) so hopefully Thursday which will be day 28 will be ok to test - here’s hoping I make it that long!

notalwaysalondoner · 17/12/2019 16:17

@CurbsideProphet I can’t wait a week!!! I’m trying to wait two days until Thursday! But may cave tomorrow...
