Hi ladies . I’ve just finished my period today and my husband and I are now going to start ttc our first baby after having my Mirena removed last week.
Is anyone else TTC this month ? I’ve ordered some ovulation tests after I said I wouldn’t because I’ve read so many success stories on them so I thought I might as well just so I have some in case !

I’d love for people to share their journey with me ! I’m 24, 25 in two weeks . So excited for our journey . I’m trying to figure out this whole lingo on here and stuff sorry! X

@Itsemily I know! It's so uncomfortable. My friend thinks it might be implantation cramping because I don't have the burning sensation, but I assumed it felt like period pains?!

Do you think yours might be implantation bleeding?? I can't cope with the not knowing! I wish we could tell straight after conception lol

Maybe have a warm bath, something nice for tea and at least half a tub of ice cream!

@xoJellyBean ah no! I had a UTI the other week, worst feeling ever ! I hope it doesn’t turn into a full on infection for you .

I’m 10DPO , started to bleed today but not due til Friday and it’s stopped now so I’m hoping it was a slightly heavier implantation but I have no idea whatsoever anymore . I’m gonna test Wednesday anyway and then test again Friday to see . Awful lower back pain and terribly sore boobs today and hot flushes all over the place !! So I’m clueless now lol

@curbsideprophet I’m glad you are controlled that’s great! :) we will get our positives !

@Itsemily fully controlled for nearly 15 years and on a v low dose of meds, so I can't do any more on that front. I'm taking folic acid, so I'll just stop taking my daily multivitamin.

I had started with a PT in the summer to lose weight and was lifting weights. I'm back from honeymoon now and am not sure if the weights are a good idea. I've got a sore shoulder anyway, so I can't do anything with that.

Obvs trying not to be obsessed... But I've been broody for ages now and had to wait until I was on the safest low dose of my meds. I'm in a hurry now for my happy ever after Blush

@Itsemily thank you! Well I've got a sort of UTI feeling over the last couple of days, tender boobs & sooo bloated this afternoon!! I tested this morning but it was negative... what stage are you at?

@CurbsideProphet My epilepsy Nurse told me to just take Folic Acid 5mg and not to take anything else and just eat well when TTC, and the same when you become pregnant. So that's all I am doing for now!
Are your seizures controlled btw?
I'm praying that I don't bleed anymore and that it was just a bit of a rush and that's it for today. I don't know how to feel. I have had like a 2 hour nap lol

@Itsemily sometimes I get cramps when I ovulate, sometimes I don't feel anything at all. I imagine it can be the same for implantation?

I've been idly googling vitamin supplements etc. Apparently I shouldn't take vitamin A while TTC? I didn't know that Confused

@Itsemily So glad that the bleeding seems to have stopped and hope that you feel better! It definitely sounds like it could have been implantation bleeding and I would still test on Wednesday for sure! 🤞

@notalwaysalondoner I had my coil removed in September - the 26th .

@han2291 just been to the toilet again (woken up from my nap to take more paracetamol), and it’s dry . Nothing there at all and literally a pinprick of brown on the lad where I’ve been curled up in bed so it’s gone on it but I’m not exaggerating, it’s a teenie spot which I wouldn’t get with a period . I’m not getting my hopes up but deffo if I’m on my period I would bleed consistently not intermittently....

@Itsemily so it's definitely only a very small amount, it always looks like more on tissue. I think if you don't have any on the pad then it's not "running" out of you (sorry, I know that sounds horrible) which is good ☺️ sounds like it's drained you today. Make yourself a nice cup of tea and curl up on the sofa. I'd definitely still test if I was you.

@Konbanwa you're still not out though, I'm staying positive for you ☺️

@notalwaysalondoner that doesn't sound too hard on paper but I bet I'd forget haha interesting to watch the temperature change though. Wonder what my DH would think if I start taking my temperature every morning AND pee in a cup every afternoon 😂 I've been wanting to read that for a while now, you've just given me the nudge I needed to download it onto my kindle.

@itsemily If it’s not normal for you then it may well be implantation. Can you remind me when you came off contraception and if it was hormonal?

@Konbanwa and @han2291, yes you have to take it at the exact same time every morning as it goes up throughout the day, and before you get up or drink. I get up at the same time during the week for work anyway so that’s fine, and weekends I just see if I’m awake at that time and skip it if I’m not! It’s pretty cool to see the changes in your body that I just didn’t know happened every month - your temperature varies by up to 1C! But it does take some time for it to become a habit. I definitely recommend Taking Charge of your Fertility if you haven’t read it already - even if you don’t decide to temp it’s a great reference book and doesn’t have any pseudo-science crap!

I just feel really sad now . Got a banging headache as well so I’m gonna have a nap now I’ve finished work . I will still test . If not , onwards and upwards for next month ! Hubby’s birthday next month so maybe a good present for him if successful !

@han2291 Still no AF here but I'm still having bad period-like cramps. I think it's just my body trying to get back into the swing of things after the pill.

@Itsemily I'd definitely still test on Wednesday and I think that the bleeding sounds like it could just be implantation bleeding. Keep an eye on how it goes over today and see if it stays light🤞

@han2291 because you know when you're on your period, it goes on the pad doesn't it? It doesn't just happen when you wipe?

Hmmm idk how to describe it. Say probably, two wipes worth of like half a tea spoon. Like say if you have a tissue in your hand and you slightly ran the tap to wet it a little, it's like that. So I wiped twice and it had that much on, then when I wiped a third time there was nothing at all . And nothing on the pad every time I've gone to the toilet. I just don't know what to do. Shall I still test on Wednesday ? I'm devastated :(

@Konbanwa yeah I think you have to do it before you get out of bed, but I'd have to do more reading up on it because honestly I'm not sure. How is your day going? Still no AF?

@Itsemily how much is "a lot"? I think it's normal to have a little bit but I'd see it as a good sign that there's none on the pad. Try not to stress ❤️

I'm really not sure, because like all my other symptoms are totally pregnancy signs-especially the nipple change. But when I wiped earlier after going for a wee at work, there was quite a lot of blood and it was red not pink :( I'm wondering if AF is early. I can't believe it if it is because literally I've never had this before. No blood on my pad like a period, just when I wipe...?

I'm tempted to try tracking my temperatures next month but I think I'd keep forgetting!

Do you have to temp before getting out of bed in the morning?

@Konbanwa you are being very restrained! Let us know how things progress!

My temp is now increasing a little bit, but hasn't obviously 'spiked' so have no idea if I even ovulated this month so am not feeling at all hopeful. Maybe the measurements were just bad, and at least I know from temping earlier this year that I definitely do ovulate some months so no need to panic. I will definitely get OPKs next month for avoidance of doubt! But certainly not feeling positive. In theory AF is due next Wednesday so have a while to wait.
