Welcome @TeaAndCrumpets1 and @TeeBagg 🙋🏼‍♀️

CooperLooper · 17/10/2019 20:03

Hey @ceebee21 I had another flashing smiley today which I can't even remember if that's day 7 or 8. I'm not going to do anymore for this month now, I'm just going to wait out til the the end of this month for either AF or a test. I'm in a good head space at the minute and would actually be happy for AF to appear, so I can at least figure out my timelines and then be more efficient with OPKs next month. Still just planning to DTD every two days until something happens!

What's your plan, are you carrying on with them? X

Nic555 · 17/10/2019 19:53

@plaw I use clear blue advanced. I always get 4 days notice of ovulation with them and you can use FMU so much better than having to wait 4 hours. I sometimes use a cheap one as well but the cheap ones only give 24-36 hours notice as they only detect the LH surge. The clearblue one yesterday morning was flashy smily for me and I think I'll ovulate sat/sun based on it but Internet cheapy didn't show anything at all tonight because they're not advance. They are more expensive but last cycle because I could kind of tell I was nearly ovulating based on CM I only used four sticks. Xx

CouscousEvaporator · 17/10/2019 19:13

@plaw I just buy amazon cheapies and then downloaded an app to help me categorise them. I use Femometer but I know premom also does this.

Plaw · 17/10/2019 18:09

To be honest, I’m not sure if I got ovulation time right so I’m thinking my chances are probably low. But there’s always hope. It’s my first cycle so going to try track ovulation properly next cycle.

What opks would you recommend?

ceebee21 · 17/10/2019 17:05

@CooperLooper any luck with your CB digital test?

I am on day 7 of flashing smileys now... why is this taking so long haha

xx

Nic555 · 17/10/2019 16:39

@Skygirl1983 fingers crossed for you though. I've heard plenty of people getting pregnant after only trying once in fertile week so you still have chance x

Skygirl1983 · 17/10/2019 14:27

I'm a bit gutted as we have only managed to dtd once this cycle that could be of any use!! I was due to ovulate either yesterday or the day before and dtd last night as I have been away with work! I'll more than likely be out so this month I'm not even going to test before AF or stress myself by obsessing over it!

TeeBagg · 16/10/2019 22:49

Hi I'm new here can I join the bus please?

TTC #2
Age 36
Cycle 1
Due around 31 Oct.

I'm on CD 13. My app says today is ovulation day but I had ewcm yesterday and the day before. So tww starts now! Good luck everyone x

TeaAndCrumpets1 · 16/10/2019 21:50

Hi everyone, hopping on the November bus.

Age 29
TTC #1
Cycle #2
CD 1

I'm using Clearblue Digital OPKs and both hubby and I have been taking Boots conception supplements for a few months now. Came off the pill earlier this year after 12 years, and have been tracking my cycle on apps since then.

Last couple of cycles have been 28 days, but before that anywhere between 26 and 36 days - hence using OPKs so soon!

I'm a bit of a control freak by nature so the idea of not knowing exactly when I'm OV'ing freaked me out a bit 😂 not to mention the TWW!

Fingers crossed for as many BFPs as possible for the November bus x

croissantmonster · 16/10/2019 20:40

@CooperLooper we'll see if it all pays off ☺️
It says due 10th Nov but if I extend it, I guess a few days after that! Excited to be in a new cycle!

@Nic555 hoping it works and is helpful! The spotting is so annoying 😤 each time I've thought implantation? But of course it's not a very common symptom...you never know until af arrives properly though do you 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nic555 · 16/10/2019 19:30

@mrsleb @GoAwayAF glad I'm not the only one struggling with smep. I've seen people BD once or twice in fertile window and get pregnant though so I'm not worrying too much. As long as you use OPK shouldn't miss it completely and manage to get a couple of BD in.

@croissantmonster @CooperLooper I've heard lots of good stuff about B vitamin complex helping extend luteal phase and saw a thread where a lady conceived first month of using a progesterone cream from ebay. My phase was 12 days my first two cycles but now I'm ovulating earlier I spotted from DPO 9 last month so may try something next month just incase.

Welcome to all the newbies sorry you had to join our little group but wishing you all lots of luck this month

CooperLooper · 16/10/2019 19:21

@croissantmonster well it's definitely a good thing to listen to your body and trust your gut instinct, so bring on the medicine cocktail I say! Absolutely here's hoping for some healthy eggos :) I'm not too sure on my test date as I'm waiting for my first AF after having my implant out on 5th Oct - so I was going to aim for 5th Nov testing unless AF turns up before then. What about you?

Hey @Peachyx2505 fingers crossed for you too!

GoAwayAF · 16/10/2019 18:28

@MrsLEB SMEP not going well for us either... I was so much more determined at the start of this cycle!
Not had a positive opk yet either... but there’s still time! Smile

croissantmonster · 16/10/2019 18:09

@CooperLooper nice to meet you too! Just vitamins/minerals...B6 and a B complex (I'm veggie so worry that the B vits are low!) and heard B6 can lengthen the luteal phase by supporting progesterone production. Vit C for the same reason and omega 3 & folic acid. A right old pharmacy 🙈
I can tell something is a little out of balance as my cycles have shortened and I've had lots of rubbish pre AF symptoms last 2 cycles. In the past I tried things to increase progesterone and it all felt more balanced and 27/28 day cycle plus very few PMS symptoms. Hoping to get back there and make some healthy eggs and healthy uterus to cook them in 😝
Good luck to you too! When will your testing be due?

Peachyx2505 · 16/10/2019 17:59

Hopping on from October too...if that's ok?

I'm 33
Ttc #2 (little one is 6!)
Cycle 10
AF due around the 12th

Had an ovary removed last year due to some crappy grim cysty tumour things.... my cycles are regular, give or take the odd day (apart from this last cycle!) and always have been but are shorter since my op. Going to try and remember to start my opk's at the right time this month! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Fingers crossed 🤞 x

CooperLooper · 16/10/2019 17:45

@ceebee21 yes those flashing little smug smiley faces! Stop winking at me and turn static will you 😂

Welcome @Treaclepie19. Sorry about your loss but fingers crossed this is your month.

Hey @croissantmonster 😊 nice to meet you. Which supplements are those? Fingers crossed for you too!

croissantmonster · 16/10/2019 17:07

Hi! Please could I join too? I'm out for Oct with AF a day early 👎🏼 but due again on 10th Nov, although I'm taking some supplements to see if I can lengthen my 25 day cycle a little for a longer luteal phase...spotting from 7dpo usually.

Age 30
Cycle ttc number 3

Treaclepie19 · 16/10/2019 16:01

Thank you @Maisy24 😊
I'm in a bit of a grump! But I'll get over it.

Flashing smiley means fertile window but static is peak :)

Maisy24 · 16/10/2019 15:55

@Treaclepie19 of course you are! Welcome ☺️ I am really sorry to hear about your little boy and wishing you lots of luck in conceiving. We are here to listen to any rants/moans/craziness and general rubbish xxx

@Nic555 This is my first dream, which is quite surprising given my brain is on babies for 99% of the time haha. Glad it isn't just me though! That is great news about your cycle; id say just make sure you do every other day and you are covered. I've read every day can lower sperm quality so don't beat yourself up if you miss a day, remember the sperm can wait for Days And can even meet the egg last minute. I've got my fingers crossed you have a sociable egg and lots of sociable sperm this month 😁

Can someone explain what the flashing smiley means? Is that fertile?

Treaclepie19 · 16/10/2019 15:07

Am I okay to hop on this bus? Af has just arrived so will be due around 12th November.

Age: 29
Cycle: 2
We have one 4 year old and lost a little boy in December (TFMR)

ceebee21 · 16/10/2019 12:54

@CooperLooper Sounds like you are similar to me... I am on day 6 of flashing smileys and it is so annoying. They are the bane of my life haha.

I had my implant out on 9th July and fell pregnant two weeks later, without a period in between. I unfortunately had a MMC and am now back to TTC, although first cycle after and have no idea what is going on... it is just over 2 weeks since my ERPC and am getting the flashing smileys, so guess that is a good sign!! fingers crossed that we get a static soon!!!

xx

Nic555 · 16/10/2019 11:55

@Maisy24 I dreamt last night my mum was pregnant after a one night stand 😂😂 I remember thinking it was a good sign if she can get pregnant at 59 I'm sure I'll be pregnant soon 😂😂😂 I have weird pregnancy dreams quite often. I got my flashy OPK this morning which means my cycles are definitely back to normal 😁 so happy. However not sure when to DTD this month. I was going to do three in a row then skip a day and then once more. However we DTD yesterday so would now mean 4 days in a row and don't want OH to run out of steam.😂 usually after my flashing I get my static on the 4th day which will Saturday but at same time don't want to miss a day and then get my static earlier. So bloody hard. May just do it when we fancy it and definitely the day after my static as that's when I noticed loads of EWCM last month xx

Maisy24 · 16/10/2019 11:07

@Jj2431 do you know when you ovulated? Could it be that you ovulated later than you thought?

@Nic555 I think I'm going to get the clear blue opks for November as using FMU sounds so much easier! I think I keep missing my peak with the stupid cheap sticks I use.

Does anyone else here dream they see two lines and are pregnant; and then wake up really disappointed? That happened to me last night it was awful!

My friend text me the other morning saying she dreamt I was pregnant, she doesn't even know we are trying so I'm hoping it's a sign it will happen in the next few months (wishful thinking after 14 months)🤣

Jj2431 · 16/10/2019 10:05

No signs of AF but still negative. Accepting I'm just late I guess or missing one :(
