@Tamalama you timed your DTD really well, so fingers crossed it was enough for you this month 🤞🏻honestly symptom spotting is driving me mad, I thought I was coming on my AF a couple of days ago but apparently not. It's frustrating having symptoms that are probably just AF on her way it you can't help but think 'oooo ovulation pains' or 'ooo implantation pains?!' Etc 😅 but in your case implantation pains are usually around 6-7dpo aren't they so you might be onto a winner. When are you going to test? X

Tamalama · 27/10/2019 09:18

Does anyone feel really confident during the first week of the tww and then start to feel really negative at around 7/8dpo onwards?

I'm 7dpo today and I've got some very mild abdominal cramping today and my ovary is a bit twingy. I had a couple of sharp vaginal pains yesterday but I'm starting to think it's just my usual af symptoms, which do usually tend to start a week before I'm due (due 3rd November)

We only dtd once during my fertile period due to us both being unwell. It was the day I got my static smiley and I think I ovulated that night as I had ovary pains.

Yeah I don't know if anyone ever believes the antibiotics line 😂 mocktails and alcohol free beer/wine may be a shout if I can get away with it. I have heard that one or two in the very early stages is okay so maybe as long as I don't overdo it. I literally overthink everything so I'm just driving myself crazy! 🙈

MeganMama28 · 26/10/2019 08:21

@jemx maybe just have a few weak drinks or get some mocktails and pretend they're cocktails? I've bought alcohol free beer/wine 'by accident' before when heading to a friends and then drank it as it 'would be shame to waste it' 😂 that trick worked well! Not that I'd recommend going wild haha but apparently this beginning stage it's okay to have drink or two! The antibiotics excuse is always met with people automatically thinking pregnant I find!

jemx · 26/10/2019 07:29

@MeganMama28 it's so hard isn't it? The only reason I want to try and test early (other than because I have no patience 😂) is because we're going away for the weekend to visit friends when AF arrives, and I'd like to know if I can have a drink as I haven't seen them for so long or whether I'm going to have to make excuses not to! I know it's not the end of the world but it's those little things that start stressing me out.

MeganMama28 · 26/10/2019 07:07

@jemx my amazon IC was VERY faint at 10dpo but the FRER was really clear. Would definitely recommend those if you're testing early. They're pricey so if you hold out the ICs will be clearer after a missed period. I've ordered both this cycle - as much as I'm telling myself I'll wait until a missed period I know I'll cave and will most likely test early too 😂

jemx · 26/10/2019 06:54

@MeganMama28 just did one of the little strips from amazon, unsurprisingly it was negative! Maybe need to wait a week and try again. Is it worth buying one of the proper FREE tests rather than the strips?

Plaw · 25/10/2019 23:25

@CooperLooper aw sorry to hear but it is a positive that you are getting your cycle back! Hugs to you all the same!x

CooperLooper · 25/10/2019 22:11

Getting some serious period cramps and spotting 😭 looks like AF is back after a 5 year hiatus (Nexplanon). At least it will give me a better understanding of my cycles and timing, onto the next month! X

MeganMama28 · 25/10/2019 11:16

@jemx 8dpo may be a little early but a FRER might pick something up if you really can't hold out!

@BurnerPhone sorry to hear you had a chemical before that must've been hard. A good sign that AF hasn't come yet! Have everything crossed for you 💕

BurnerPhone · 25/10/2019 10:34

AF is due today but so far no sign...I'm desperate to test but I don't want to until next week as I've had a chemical before and the disappointment of a BFP that turns into a BFN was worse than this waiting...! Feel like I'm nervous every time I go to the toilet today

jemx · 25/10/2019 10:09

@MeganMama28 according to Clue/Flo/Ovia, I'll be 8 dpo but I think I ovulated earlier as the OPKs I did around that time were negative 🤔 I might just do it tomorrow, if it's negative then I can always just test again I guess..

MeganMama28 · 25/10/2019 09:51

@jemx how many dpo will you be on Saturday? I agree it's best to try to wait but I never can! Last time I got a strong positive at 10dpo so I may test around that time again which will be around the 3rd.

Fingers crossed for everyone that this will be a lucky bus 🤞xx

Nic555 · 24/10/2019 19:15

@Maisy24 yes it definitely has im seriously flagging. Not been off since honeymoon in June. I start a new role for a few months after this so I have so much to do tomorrow before I change jobs. Fingers crossed for u as well x

jemx · 24/10/2019 18:58

@12goldstars I know I should really hold off but the anticipation is killing me! Deep down, I don't think I am so there's probably not much point in testing early. I'm going away for the weekend from 31st Oct to 4th Nov though so might do it a couple of days early... or maybe I should just wait to see if I get af while I'm away?! Ahh it's so stressful.

It's just so hard to know isn't it? I'm really unsure when I ovulated this month. That timing would have been perfect, I was hoping for this month as then it would be around my partners 30th birthday!

Maisy24 · 24/10/2019 18:46

@Nic555 that holiday has landed at a great time for you to relax in the 2WW I've got my fingers crossed this is your month!!! 🥰

Nic555 · 24/10/2019 18:33

@Maisy24 yes that's a good idea. CB are better and will stop you sympton spotting ovulation.

I am trying not to stress either only 3/4 DPO but suddenly felt very emotional tonight nearly cried twice over something stupid. Think it was just a crappy day in work. I'm on holiday next week so can't wait for a bit of chill time x

12goldstars · 24/10/2019 17:39

jemx I got a positive 5 days before af was due with dd2. I felt weird for a couple of days before that and I knew so it is possible you’ll see something that early but it’s unlikely. This time I’m going to test until af is definitely late because testing early just made me more anxious about a chemical.
I was convinced I ovulated yesterday because I had loads of ecwm after 3 days of ecwm. It completely stopped after lunchtime yesterday but then I’ve just had some more over 24 hours later. I think that’s probably me out for this month because it’s been 4 days since dtd and I’m not sure if I’ve ovulated now. Very annoying because I wanted to time it with the beginning of the school holidays Sad

CouscousEvaporator · 24/10/2019 16:37

@Makeafamily19 @MrsLEB that will be good to all test at the same time!
🤞🏻

@jemx I’d try to wait as that’s so early and you’ll just end up not believing whatever result you get anyway haha
Easier said than done though!!

Peachyx2505 · 24/10/2019 15:59

I'll be testing a bit later around the 12th depending on if AF has shown xx

jemx · 24/10/2019 15:29

I'm due AF on 1st Nov, would Saturday be too early to do an early pg test do you think?! Or am I best just trying to have patience 🙈

Maisy24 · 24/10/2019 14:14

@Nic555 I've been using the cheap strips from amazon, but I have ordered the clear blue ones that you use, as I'm not temping I or anything anymore I want to try and stress less, so just going to use the clear blue opks from day 10 to make sure we don't miss it.

Nic555 · 24/10/2019 13:36

@mrsleb I know exactly what you mean. Although I stress a bit the week up to ovulation scared that I might not ovulate. I don't find the first week of the TWW that bad its the 2nd week when I try and spot symptoms of AF. I don't feel too bad this time don't think I'll get my BFP so already resigned to Af and means I can still go away next July if I'm not.

I haven't set a date to test yet as AF always arrives by surprise before I get chance anyway 😂

@Maisy24 glad you're feeling positive. I can't remember if you use OPKs? If not may be worth it for the next three months just so u know you're timing BD right? It easier said than done not stressing. My friend tried for 2 years, went to doctors and found out she wasn't ovulating every month and the next month got pregnant. I think not expecting it to happen may have made her have more of a what will be will be attitude

Xx

MrsLEB · 24/10/2019 13:35

@Makeafamily19 @CouscousEvaporator I am due on the 3rd/4th of Nov too!

I don't know how long I can hold off with testing. If I've ran out of ICs then I won't test until af is missed as I don't want to waste anymore pricier ones.

Every month though I convince myself I am pg but they are all just af symptoms that I am now being hyper sensitive to.

When I was actually pg I can't really remember any symptoms before bfp
