Yet another TWW thread (AF early October)

I can't seem to find anyone on the same timing - any ladies expecting AF early October?

I'm only 1 DPO with AF due 6 October, anybody else just starting their TWW to buddy up with?

Hey,

Had cramps last couple of days (which have stopped) and now my boobs are very sore (but they are always sore just before AF)

I can't help but feel really hopeful this month, which isnt good because it will set me up for a big fall.

Only 7dpo today! I'm thinking of testing on Friday (even though I know I should wait lol).

@LetMeIn321 what is the bleed like? is it red or pink? x

Made it to 10 DPO. Feel like the last couple of days will really drag. Don't think I have a lot of symptoms so I may be out this month.

How is everyone?

Hello! Sperm can live up to 5 days in the uterus so it only takes once really. Twice is good! x

Hi All, do you mind if I join? AF is due 8th, currently 9 dpo according to Flo app. 2nd cycle of trying but only DTD twice during fertile window this month so not feeling very hopeful!

That's ok though. The egg lasts 12-24 hours after ovulation so there is 5 days before when the sperm can survive and the one day after when it has a chance to meet the sperm :) x

Well my app said I was due to ovulate on the 21st September. But we didn’t dtd until 22nd September. To be honest I thought I was out so just accepted that it probably wouldn’t be my month. But a couple of hours after dtd I had ovulation pain on my left side. Lasted about 24 hours on/off. Now I don’t always get ovulation pain every month so just assumed I had ovulated on 21st so I felt a flutter of hope when I got the pain on the 22nd.

12dpo. I wanted to test today but my partner is adamant we wait til Thursday this time. I always try to push it to do the test early...!

@MrssC92 thank you. I'm expecting AF tomorrow... if she doesn't turn up tomorrow or Thursday I'll test then

@imnewtothis Yeah it's fascinating how our bodies are - and how much we manage to filter it out when not TTC! Hope your fatigue and lightheadedness are a good sign! I'm feeling quite normal to be honest, some nausea but I think yesterday was worse which is not promising. I have been getting weird pain in my boobs today and yesterday though (it's on an off, and in one boob at a time) - could just be my posture being crap though!

@raizelrea wow that is interesting, I have felt so rubbish today, really dizzy and light headed hope I'm not coming down with something. How are you doing? I want to test Friday too, but I also really want to test tomorrow which I know is a bad idea

Yes no long now .. just a couple of days. I can't wait but also dreading it. Getting a BFN is just devastating. I was pregnant 9 months ago but miscarries. I remember then having symptoms such as really sore and heavy boobs, full of a cold, and completed shattered. This time I've just had a painful lower back and bleeding. Really hope it's a good sign. X

@imnewtothis If they continue pregnancy is more likely because it means you still have high progesterone levels which would have stopped by 10 DPO in a usual cycle. Can definitely attest to this just based on last cycle alone - I had heaps of symptoms but they all went away at 10 DPO and I got AF a few days later.

@HayleyD84 You're halfway through the wait then, not bad! You can do this! Honestly I don't know about cramps and twinges, I get them all the time. I have been having weird pulsing pains in my breasts since yeasterday which seems new, but I suppose it could just be bad posture.

@LetMeIn321 Not long to go for you then, only a few days till test time. Unsure about the bleeding but by Friday you will know if it's stopped or turned into AF - you're on the last stretch of the cycle, hang in there!

@Confused38 Sorry about your MC, hope your rainbow baby comes soon! Sounds like you got the timing spot on! How do you know the exact time of ovulation if you don't mind me asking?

@MrssC92 I think I'll test Friday or Saturday too - though that will be 12 or 13 DPO for me. 9 DPO today and resisting testing so far, I figured at this point no matter if I got a faint positive or a negative I'd end up testing again later in the week. So I'm trying to wait till it will be a more definite answer.

@HayleyD84 I'm 6dpo too. I was planning on waiting until saturday but i 100% know I'll cave and test Friday. Hope we can both update this thread with our BFPs

@LetMeIn321 it could be implantation bleeding. I've seen some people say they bled all the way through their pregnancy/ first trimester

@Confused38 sorry about your loss 😞 hopefully this will be your month. I think sounds like you have a solid plan and do right waiting until AF.

I get too excited and then feel disappointment. Last month I could have sworn I was pregnant. Had all the symptoms and got a BFN!
My AF has still stayed away. Due tomorrow so not sure yet xx

Mind if I join. My AF is due 6th October and I am 10 days post ovulation. I had a miscarriage 4 months ago and this is first time trying since ( haven’t felt ready). We did the deed on the day of ovulation..... literally 3 hours before I ovulated. I will not test until the 7th October. Unless AF shows up.

I am due my period this Friday. Going to test Thursday. I've been obsessing over symptom spotting which is driving me mad! I've been having lower back pain since 4dpo and light bleeding each day since then! Very light bleeding. I wasn't sure if this could be implantation bleeding but could it really last this long?
Has anyone else had this?

Ive had a few sharp pains in my abdomen yesterday / today and been feeling slight AF crampy feeling? don't know what that might be.

and now starts the crazy symptom spotting

I just read an interesting article that basically said that all the progesterone you get in your body between 1 and 10 DPO basically makes it impossible to distinguish whether or not you're pregnant, but that most people's symptoms stop at 10 DPO, which is a good way to tell if something's up. Makes a lot of sense to me as that's exactly how my last cycle went. I'm 9 DPO today so we shall see how thongs progress. Definitely makes me think symptom spotting is pointless.

@Raizelrea I didn't get any more rest unfortunately. Just laid there thinking I wanted to hold my wee in as long as poss!

Me and the OH have been doing FAM for a few months and we decided if it happens it happens. So far we've been avoiding ovulation days but then this cycle we DTD a couple of days before and the day after ovulation but didn't feel like it was a mistake so we must both want it to happen.

Yes I agree with the alcohol. I've got some beer in but not wanted it. Not sure if I'm thinking "if I am pregnant I shouldn't have it so I'll wait for AF"

Fingers crossed it's a baby cooking and not food poisoning! X

@SallyWallyDoDah Hope you ended up getting some rest in the end! Sorry it was a BFN! Have you been TTC long? I think the alcohol thing can be psychological, last month I had a glass of wine at a wedding in my TWW and was almost sick but wasn't pregnant. OH said maybe I was sick because I'm expecting to be sick. Been having loads of nausea this TWW too, so maybe he's in to something!

Done a test with home bargains cheapy and it's was a BFN.... still no sign of AF so we shall see

Hi everyone!

Hope you don't mind me joining!

I cannot sleep at all. Been awake since 4am.

I am on CD26 and I am 12DPO. AF due tomorrow. Hoping she stays away but we shall see!

I've started with very sore boobies today and normally my only AF symptoms are moderate dull cramping the first two days of my cycle and wanting to eat everything.
I've gone off alcohol too which is most unusual.

Here's to all the babies this month!Brew (didn't want to "cheers" with a wine glass as we could be pregnantGrin) xx

@Mrsw1992 I've been there! I wosh there wasn't so much pressure to justify why you aren't drinking. Even if someone suspects you're pregnant, they should keep it to themselves as you clearly aren't wanting to share it yet if you haven't said anything. People...

@imnewtothis I feel the same! Already trying to reason with myself to see whether I could test sooner than saturday haha
