Bleeding and low HCG levels?

First time posting on here, just need some advice and to hear other peoples experiences.
I found out I was 4 weeks pregnant but had very faint lines on HPT. Went to the doctors, got referred for bloods to check HCG levels which came back as 31.
I'm 6 weeks pregnant today and was sent to early pregnancy unit due to light bleeding which has got slightly heavier overnight, almost like a period. I had internet examination which confirmed my womb is still closed so that's a good sign but was told threatened miscarriage. I had bloods done again to check if HCG has increased over 7 days and it's now at 138. They want to repeat bloods in 48 hours so see if it's increasing or decreasing but I'm worried sick :( Has anybody else been in my situation and has gone on to have successful pregnancies?
Thanks Halo

Unfortunately I would say it's bad news sorry OP - hcg should be much much higher by 6 weeks - like in the region of 10,000 plus x

I've had this but mine was a miscarriage. That being said, if your hcg levels are going up (doubling) then that's a good sign. It's when they're not that there's an issue! Mine went down completely so I wouldn't worry too much. Congrats and fingers crossed for a healthy 9 months💕
