I am SO so happy for you @KatBeCool !!! 🤩
The best news! It seems like the 2 year mark is the lucky time! I can't believe it was a completely natural cycle too, amazing! Xx

KatBeCool · 08/04/2020 07:29

@starkid thank you. I'm going to venture out in my stupid mask to get some (a dozen or two) tests. The second pee stick is definitely positive though. Need to schedule a blood test too, hopefully they even do those still due the virus and not just tell people to rely on the pee stick.

starkid · 08/04/2020 07:21

@KatBeCool ahhhh I see it! Get another test too do tomorrow pronto! Tentative congrats! Loving these positives coming through 😍😍 Grin
AF unfortunately is here now so cycle 23 for me, but I'm feeling hopeful for the next couple of cycles at least :)

KatBeCool · 08/04/2020 07:05

@RosettaR this is completely natural! Our fertility clinic hasn't been starting any new cycles due to the virus for over a month now. I peed on a stick an hour later and the line was more visible. I'm in so much shock I'm literally walking around in circles. I've never seen two lines before.
And the only thing I did differently was that I started taking a preventative antihistamine for my allergies instead of nuking it when it happens. I doubt it has anything to do with getting pregnant though. I diligently took vitamin D and prenatal, totally slacked on fish oil, took none of CoQ10, and literally nothing else. I did make sure to exercise and do yoga everyday before ovulation though.

FlapJackered · 08/04/2020 07:02

Omg @KatBeCool !!! That is a line!!! Get a FRER or 7 and pronto!!!! (Tentative congratulations 🎉)

RosettaR · 08/04/2020 06:40

@KatBeCool I see a line!! Congratulations! Were you trying naturally, or was this more IUI? Either way that's amazing!

@starkid sorry you think AF is on her say. Our cycles are really close atm. I will probably start spotting soon...

KatBeCool · 08/04/2020 05:13

Omg... Am I seeing things? It's super-diluted but been my DH sees the second line. I can't even wait until morning, I'm shaking. Two years! TWO YEARS! And literally we spent a ton of money freezing my DH sperm, it was our last time trying "fresh". I'm 14dpo, boobs are hurting, and zero spotting which I usually get.

And how did I not see any of your messages for the past ten days?

@Lina365 huge congratulations!

@RosettaR - those are the worse cycles, when you don't know when to expect your period at all :(

I'm due tomorrow and got sore heavy boobs and tingly nipples, but also had a bit of brown streak in my cm today so looks like is right on track to come tomorrow :( then cycle 23

RosettaR · 07/04/2020 19:59

@starkid well I'm on day 27 of a weird cycle. Not even sure I ovulated this cycle, I ran out of opks without getting a positive and I didn't have much ewcm. So I don't know when to expect af and I'm in danger of getting my hopes up if it doesn't show soon!

How are you?

starkid · 06/04/2020 20:39

How is everyone doing at the moment? :) xx

Lina365 · 29/03/2020 20:25

Thank you @FlapJackered! I'd gotten so used to hearing bad news about the sperm count that I thought it must be the main reason we've not had success.

I hope someone in similar situation is reading this because I've been googling for success stories with low sperm count and feeling sad the past few months. Our post wash count wasn't good enough to continue with IUI - we had results from a few dozen to 1 million. Queueing for IVF. And then we got pregnant naturally. Don't give up hope x x

FlapJackered · 29/03/2020 08:22

I have just seen this @Lina365 !! Congratulations!! Such lovely news! And so good to see a bfp on this thread. 🎉

I hope you guys are all doing ok in this strange new apocalyptic world!

starkid · 26/03/2020 10:22

@Lina365 - ahhh so exciting!! Grin Grin xxxx

Lina365 · 26/03/2020 10:19

@starkid Thanks! No pic I'm afraid, but did a digital test and that was a positive, too.

starkid · 26/03/2020 07:37

@Lina365 - ShockShock tentative congratulations!! Do you have a pic?

Lina365 · 26/03/2020 05:04

I got my first two lines this morning... I'm telling myself the test must be broken.

Lina365 · 25/03/2020 13:39

Hi everyone!
@starkid We didn't even discuss the option of taking a break from trying naturally - not sure how I'd feel if we got pregnant now, though. I find it hard to believe that it would happen, so perhaps that's why we're not worried and preventing.

Having said that... I usually have a fair bit of spotting about a week before AF. She's due any day now, but I haven't had to use any panty liners - the spotting has been so so so light. So my hopes are up, maybe this time we're lucky! I may imagine this, but when I get hungry I feel slightly sick. It's 2 weeks since positive OPK, and if AF doesn't show up in 2 days I will take a test.

RosettaR · 24/03/2020 11:54

@starkid I'm still trying naturally too, although I think my chances of actually getting pregnant must be very remote after all this time.

They don't think it affects pregnancy but with it being so new they are not 100% sure. The link is here: www.rcog.org.uk/en/guidelines-research-services/guidelines/coronavirus-pregnancy/covid-19-virus-infection-and-pregnancy/

Probably still not a great time to get pregnant given the nhs is likely to really struggle but I don't want to stop given my age and low AMH.

@KatBeCool it's good to see you back. I've also noticed that some clinics are still open (not mine), but I agree they are likely to be the less good ones. So I think we are going to wait it out for IVF. At least the worry about covid-19 and my older family members is distracting me from ttc ... :-(

KatBeCool · 24/03/2020 04:34

@starkid I read somewhere that this virus doesn't affect the fetus, but there's very little research on that. We're not leaving the house. I work from home to begin with, my husband's company has them now working from home until end of April, for now. Extra time to bake things!

starkid · 23/03/2020 22:41

Yeah I meant naturally too, just didn't know if it was a bad idea time wise...

KatBeCool · 23/03/2020 22:34

@starkid naturally lol. Not that it worked for us. I had a video consultation with ivf specialist earlier today, but they're not starting any new cycles due to Coronavirus. There are some clinics that are still open but they aren't as good. My main worry is PGT-A testing, it's so expensive but I guess necessary for my age. I was planning on doing at least one more IUI round, he said he'd just up Gonal F to 100-150mg from the 75 I was taking.
I don't think there's any other way to go through this right now other than naturally.

starkid · 23/03/2020 21:07

Are people still TTC at the moment? I'm not sure what to do :(

RosettaR · 18/03/2020 13:09

@ValidUser they have now cancelled everything here too. I am devastated really, we've got no idea when it will all resume and my AMH is already low so who knows what kind of chance I will have in a few months or years time. I also blame myself for not going ahead in January, we could at least have tried.

I'm hoping to get my results from the other tests tonight but it doesn't feel like it really matters now, even if it's good news I will struggle to be pleased.

RosettaR · 16/03/2020 08:04

Sorry af came for you @starkid. It doesn't seem to get any easier, and every month I hope for a miracle. We're almost in sync this cycle!

RosettaR · 16/03/2020 08:02

@ValidUser sorry to hear you're cancelled! I'm in the UK and we have very little in the way of restrictions so far, so I've not heard of anything being cancelled yet. But if our government turns out to have made the wrong decision and the virus really overwhelms us then I can only imagine things will get cancelled. I am still going to book on if I can as we have no idea how long the disruption will last. And hopefully if it does get cancelled, that will mean I'm one of the first in the queue when they re-open.

It's going to be a really hard few months, but particularly for people in the health service, as you say @Lina365, so I feel I shouldn't complain too much!
