I thought I'd start a new thread as the other one is full. Sorry if I've missed anyone out.

@Mrs71 I am sorry to hear about the anxiety. My entire family never had proper pregnancy symptoms so I think I will probably be similar to you. I read a reassuring stat from the charity Tommy's that said once you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks your chance of miscarriage is less than 2%.
It is hard in the early days not to worry though and I don't think the hormones help. Let us know how the scan goes on the 19th! X

Hi @Jessharlow81 if you had your period last week then you're probably not pregnant, unless for some reason you don't think it was a proper period. Either way the only way of knowing is to take a test. Hcg is meant to double every 48 hours so wait a few days and test and if it was a faint line and not an evaporation line it should be darker. Good luck.

Jessharlow81 · 04/02/2020 00:31

Hi sorry to drop on I had what I think was a period last week it came 4 days early and lasted 7 days on the Tuesday and Wednesday I started spotting on friday I started spotting again after an internal and then I started light bleeding Saturday and Sunday and was still light bleeding this morning it’s all stopped now I have like a lotion type discharge could this be a sign I’m pregnant forgot to mention I took a test Saturday and me and my OH (other half) thought we could see a vvv faint line I’m really bloated and my boobs feel fuller oh squeezed one last night and it hurt like mad! I’m really hormonal aswell don’t want to get hopes up any help or advice would be great TIA (thanks in advance)

Mrs71 · 04/02/2020 00:28

@FlapJackered I'm good thank you. I don't have any symptoms apart from bloating and my boobs hurt if I poke them 😂 so it just doesn't feel real half the time. I've been suffering with anxiety really bad I think it's the lack of symptoms. I'm 10+4 now these first few weeks have gone so slow! I have my 12 week scan on the 19th, I'm so excited but nervous anxious all at the same time. Even though I had an early scan and saw a heartbeat I still can't help but worry as I get brown spotting now and again which is so common but still freaks me out. Also we haven't told anyone not even parents so I just can't wait to share my happy news just have everything crossed all we be ok.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. Hope we have some more bfp's soon. 💕

@ValidUser that's great you can start so soon and amazing work on the weight loss!

@Mrs71 thank you! 😊 how are you getting on? How many weeks are you now?

starkid · 31/01/2020 22:17

@ValidUser that's great news that is so soon and not having to do the down regulation! Fingers crossed for more BFPs on their way the next couple of months :)

ValidUser · 31/01/2020 21:17

@katbecool just saw your question now. Weight loss going great. I'm about 1.5kg off healthy, so I'm getting there!

How are you doing?

ValidUser · 31/01/2020 21:14

@FlapJackered delighted for you!

So I'm starting IVF in either early or late March (depending on clinic slots for egg retrieval).

No need for down regulation beforehand and starting on a decent dose of gonal f, so feeling good!

Mrs71 · 31/01/2020 20:32

@FlapJackered I just came on to the thread to see if you had tested!! Congratulations 💕xx

I'm so happy this thread is picking up with it's BFP's now :)

FlapJackered · 31/01/2020 14:38

Thank you all so much, I couldn't have got through this process without you. ❤️
I will definitely be sticking around if that is ok with you, I want to see you all get your bfps.

Lina365 · 31/01/2020 09:48

@PineappleC You're starting IVF, too? So many of us! Sorry I can't remember who's doing what and when, but it looks like a lot of us going the same route in the next few months or so.

PineappleC · 31/01/2020 08:00

@FlapJackered congratulations!!! So so happy for you!! That test is pretty decisive! And also well done for holding out until your test day 😉 That gives me lots of hope starting out on my own IVF and ICSI cycle too! Xx

RosettaR · 31/01/2020 07:30

@FlapJackered congratulations, that's wonderful! Two very clear lines. Thanks for your support all this time, I don't know what I'd have done without you sometimes. Please come back and visit us!

@Lina365 yes fingers crossed it happens for us while we're waiting. My tests are timed well in those terms, just after af ends so we shouldn't have to miss any months of trying.

starkid · 31/01/2020 07:19

@FlapJackered yes congratulations!!! Two brilliant lines Grin

Lina365 · 31/01/2020 06:59

This gives us all hope! @FlapJackered 's news really cheered me up and made me feel that it's going to happen for all of us. Just need to be patient and trust science. :)

@RosettaR I'm facing a similar wait for IVF, 5-6 months from now. It can happen while we're waiting, who knows.

KatBeCool · 31/01/2020 06:50

@FlapJackered that's great news! When I got an email notification that there's a new post here, I just knew it would be your bfp. Congratulations! I'm sure the blood test will confirm it.

@RosettaR even with a few months left, having a plan with more or less set dates is helpful and less stressful.

Positive opk for me today, like super positive, only CD12. A bit early but I guess it's fine. I think I had more ewcm this time around than I've ever had, sorry for tmi.

Lina365 · 31/01/2020 06:35

@FlapJackered That's amazing!! Congratulations 😍😍😍😍😍 I'm so happy for you…!

FlapJackered · 31/01/2020 05:29

So I hardly slept last night and this just happened! In total shock, but very happy to see those two lines!
It is early days so I am trying not to get too excited. Blood test is today to confirm the level is high enough. 🤞
Thank you so much ladies for all your wise words and support, I couldn't have got through this ivf malarkey without you. ❤️

FlapJackered · 30/01/2020 20:47

Thank you all for your kind words ❤️ what would I do without you. Currently feel like AF is about to start so who knows 🤷‍♀️
I have a bottle of wine and a carton of coconut water in the fridge waiting. Hopefully I will be celebrating with coconut water tomorrow but I have a feeling it is more likely to be the wine 😕.

@RosettaR April is not too far away and I am sure the time will fly by now we are almost in Feb. X

@KatBeCool I am sorry adoption is not straightforward where you are, it seems really unfair and also detrimental to the many children that need a family. X

RosettaR · 30/01/2020 19:39

I now have a date for my tests, 22 Feb. After that they will probably need to send some biopsies to the lab most likely so it will be a few more weeks after that that I get the results. So hopefully I'll be able to book on for ivf in early April, to have ivf proper in late May or early June. I'm sure it will come round more quickly than I think!

RosettaR · 30/01/2020 19:34

@FlapJackered all the best for tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you. I don't think the lack of symptoms really means anything, how many months have I had symptoms and not been pregnant!

@starkid I hope you get some answers from your tests, maybe they will find something that's been missed before that you can work on.

@PineappleC glad you are moving forward and feeling more positive. I did wonder how the sniffer drug would feel, it's a bit of a strange idea.

@KatBeCool that's a shame adoption doesn't seem to be an option where you are. We will consider that if all this fails, but having done some reading it sounds quite a difficult process even here in the UK. At this point I find it hard to imagine I'll have the energy left for something like that!

PineappleC · 30/01/2020 08:27

@Flapjackered I have everything crossed for your test tomorrow too! 🤞 I bet it will be great to just have the wait over with, I can't imagine how long the TWW feels on this!

@Katbecool that's really sad that adoption comes at such a cost where you are. Pretty crappy too, as surely it's best for all if kids get parents without the money-making!

@starkid hope your tes6s go well and you get some answers 😊

I am FINALLY on the nasal spray bit of my IVF procedure 🎉 Its been a long 3 weeks. So glad I don't have to take the pill any more as that seemed such a "backward" step! It came out of my nose a bit the first time but hope that doesn't matter too much!

starkid · 29/01/2020 09:04

@FlapJackered - got all my fingers crossed for you!
@RosettaR - hoping your tests come back quickly now - I think as much as it's not heard that hayfever would affect IVF, you'd have always blamed it if you didn't get it checked out beforehand and wasn't successful xx

I'm having a blood test tomorrow due to the lightheaded/fatigue/weakness/brain fog I'm still getting on and off every day. The doctor said he'll test for 'everything', as my blood pressure and heart rate were fine, so that will be interesting to get back next week sometime. It might shed a light on fertility problems which might not have been considered yet. Hopefully it's something simple...

KatBeCool · 29/01/2020 07:21

@FlapJackered I guess I should now share the fact that I'm not in the UK and the main reason I'm here is because I can't stand the people on the local boards and couldn't find much support. Adoption here costs an exuberant amount, at a minimum an average yearly salary, and the wait is 3 or more years. International adoptions are a bit cheaper but not by much and mainly only the special needs children are available.

@RosettaR is it known that your condition might interfere with ivf or pregnancy? There has to be some research information available online providing some insight. Hopefully you're in the clear regardless of the tests.

FlapJackered · 29/01/2020 06:34

@RosettaR i am sorry it is going to take so long. It will go more quickly than you think though and I think you're right to go with your gut and get it sorted. You don't want to wonder if that is what caused an ivf cycle not to work. X
Also @KatBeCool interested to hear why you think you'd only be able to adopt a special needs child?

Still no symptoms and only 2 days left before testing day. Definitely feel it hasn't worked, but feeling quite calm about it now.
