You may not bleed until hcg levels reach 0
Which can take weeks

A scan isn't actually routine to confirm a miscarriage especially if hcg levels are very low - hcg needs to be over 1000-1500 to see a sac in the uterus

NoseringGirl · 28/09/2019 11:10

I agree with your parents, a scan and a second opinion could be helpful.

LochNessMumster87 · 28/09/2019 11:05

He said the test he done could of been a mistake, my levels were very low and together with the tests getting fainter and fainter he said it definitely sounds like a missed miscarriage. But I was speaking to my mum and dad last night and they said if I'm worried, and I haven't had a bleed in the next couple of weeks and my symptoms are still there or getting worse then I should go for a scan just to put my mind at rest. Which I think is a good idea. I thought he would of wanted a scan, it says online to confirm a miscarriage you should have a scan. Maybe he was just sure and I didn't need one.

Did the GP say what your levels were and are they going to test them again to see if they're going up or down?
They must've been fairly high for the hook effect? Doesn't seem right for them to just leave it at that.
Sorry you're going through all this, so stressful for you!

LochNessMumster87 · 28/09/2019 10:26

I definitely will @sardi28 the only thing I'm confused about with all of this is I'm not bleeding yet. And I still have pregnancy symptoms. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it normal. I thought symptoms would decrease. If anything they're increasing. I woke up with very sore nipples and feeling sick.

@LochNessMumster87 big hugs xxx it's bitter sweet news. How amazing that you ovulated on your own though! Your body is amazing! Roll on next month using your clomid! You must keep this thread open and keep us updated! You'll soon get your BFP. Your body will be more fertile now too xxx

LochNessMumster87 · 27/09/2019 23:00

Thanks ladies Flowers I just don't want to sit and be miserable and stress myself out. The doctor said just relax, don't put too much pressure on myself and to have the best chance of making our little miracle I need to be positive and confident. We'll meet our little one eventually, and they will be loved so much because we've gone through so much to bring them into this world Smile

Oh @Lochnessmumster87 so gutted for you. What a rollercoaster you have been on. Can’t wait to see your next BFP when you get it Smile xxx

LochNessMumster87 · 27/09/2019 22:31

@Alone thank you, you've all been so nice, and I'm very grateful. I wish the outcome was different but I'm confident it will happen soon. The doctor was amazing too, he sat with me and made sure I was ok and explained everything, I left feeling sad.... But you just need to look at the positives and move on. You'll all see a bfp eventually, I'll be straight on here to let you all know xxx

Thank you @sardi28 I told him as soon as I got back from the doctors. He was a bit upset but were just trying to look on the bright side. I can get pregnant without fertility treatment, which I'm really pleased about Smile xxx

So sorry @LochNessMumster87
You must be heartbroken. Please don't go through this alone. Please tell your partner ❤️ or someone who can support you

LochNessMumster87 · 27/09/2019 22:08

Sorry ladies :( the doctor said my levels were very low and its a missed miscarriage. It was upsetting, but at least now I know. And on the upside... I ovulated on my own which is great news, so I wasn't crazy lol the tests were right, I was pregnant, even if it was over quickly. Thank you all for your support. And we're going back on clomid next month, so fingers crossed I come back with a bfp by the end of the year FlowersFlowersFlowers
